Reviews of University House Wallingford | Independent Living

I visited this facility
The staff at University House are very pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere of University House is quite hushed, like a library, and like everyone is making an effort to be calm and not disturb anyone else. This is good, if you like libraries, but can be a little unnerving, if you like life a bit more lively. The decor is elegant and tasteful, again, rather quiet and expensive-looking. There seems to be a lot of amenities such as a nice dining hall, a grand piano for concerts, which they offer a monthly, and shuttle bus service to activities in the city which it would be difficult for residents to get to otherwise. The facility is located in Wallingford, in the heart of a city neighborhood, so getting to activities is fairly easy, and it is possible for residents to feel a part of a larger community. There are more than the usual amount of visitors from the community, in the form of students and volunteers.
