The community at The Preserve at Palm-Aire was interesting. It was very vibrant. There was a lot of energy, and the gentleman who took me on the tour was exceptional. I mean, he was very, very knowledgeable. The rooms were nicely maintained. The gentleman was very understanding about what my mother-in-law's needs would be. They had a nice big, spacious dining room, and the menu was very diverse. I saw food on display, which is what they do, and it looked very good.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was a resident of The Preserve at Palm-Aire. I liked the fact that their buildings were not too high. The highest was four levels. They had three different buildings, which was good. One building was independent living. One building was assisted living. The third building was half and half: assisted living in the bottom and independent at the top. The buildings were connected to the pathways, which was very convenient. The food was pretty bad. The service to get into the dining area was also extremely bad and very time consuming. They were not well organized, so it took forever to get to your meal. The cleanliness of the ground, the walkways, and everything, left a lot to be desired. They just did not maintain it well enough. The place where you gathered the little bags and stuff was not changed out often enough. I just was very disappointed with the up keep of the place on the grounds itself. The good thing is that they have a lot of nature around it. They have a pond that you could walk around. It wasn't easily accessible because they didn't have enough path, so you had to walk on the grass. The activities were pretty good.

My husband and I chose The Preserve at Palm-Aire. They have great grounds and when you walk in, there's no one sleeping. The staff was good. Everybody was accommodating. The rooms were not large. They're perfect for both of us. The dining room was good. We had lunch only and it was good. They have many activities. It's a whole pageful. They have bingo, aerobics, and machines. It's better than all the others we looked at. It was very clean.

We went to The Preserve at Palm-Aire. The guy who waited on us was excellent. Ernesto was the best person you want to show the place. He was so down to earth and friendly. They couldn't even show us a single unit. The only one that was available at the time was a double unit, and they only had the first floor. One of the things my mother was interested in was getting the second floor, and she didn't want the first floor. But they were still in the process of renovation. They took the time because they have classes there. They have line dancing or art classes or things. They invited my mother to any class that she wanted to go to, and the staff would set it up. So they were going out of their way. We saw the menu, but my mother didn't get to try the food or anything. It's in a neighborhood that she's familiar with, so she didn't have to learn the roads or anything because basically right now she is living in Palm-Aire with my brother. She just likes the area. I only dealt with the senior care counselor, so I didn't get involved with anybody else there. But Ernesto was the man to go to. It was like car salespeople waiting on you. It just felt like a comfortable relaxing place to be. I didn't feel tension; I didn't feel pressured. Even Ernesto, he's just a counselor there, but for the residents who are living there now, he knew the names like, "Hi Susan," and "Hi Edward," so he took the time to know their guests. They do senior living and assisted living but because of the way their plan is set up, if my mother needed assisted living, she would have to move in that place.

The Preserve at Palm-Aire looked beautiful, cheerful, fun, and even luxurious. It was very nice. The menu looked good and they had so much to do. They have a calendar with the things every day that people do and they have a beautiful outdoor area. The staff took a lot of time with us. They were very nice. They went over everything, disclosed prices very easily, and gave lots of brochures. They were wonderful.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband is at The Preserve at Palm-Aire. In the beginning, it was the best place for him because of the price. They had a pool, a little gym, and things he could use because he wasn't so bad at that time. The price was good when he was in assisted living, but he's now in memory care. It was good at the beginning, then he started to lose his memory very fast. During Covid, it was a little bit hard to visit him. I think the Covid has affected many people because they don't allow family to visit. They said to me in the contract, they're going to clean every week, but they didn't do it. He likes the food, but sometimes he complains. During Covid (around September), my husband asked me for his wedding ring, and I said I don't have it. So, I went and they let me enter the room and looked for his ring, and this ring disappeared from his room. I complained, but they did nothing. I didn't call the police because I didn't want to cause a problem with them. Since that time, I got a little concerned with them because that's not supposed to happen. He has a bad memory, and they may be believed he's gonna miss this thing and he missed it. Right now, I don't like what they do with my husband in memory care. That's why I'm gonna take him out. The building is nice and I liked it, but sometimes, when I go walking around there, the residents walk the dog and there's poop around. When I was walking to his room, I saw poop around the floor and that's what they need to work on. In the beginning, the food was delicious, but everything changed when Covid started. I was there last month and the food was good from what I saw. Value for money was good in the beginning, but now it's a lot of money (I believe it's because it's memory care).

When we entered the facility our first impression was how bright and clean it was. The outside grounds are gorgeous, walked through the activities area, the dining room, and toured a room. Impressed by all. As we were touring the building, we were stopped by different staff members from each department who welcomed us and answered any questions we had. Such a warm welcome!

We like the interaction that The Preserve at Palm-Aire seems to have with the residents, because my mom really needs that right now; otherwise she'll probably just sit there. It sounds like they have more activities than the others, so we thought that it would be better, and also it is closer to our home. She will move in at the end of the month or the first of next month, and she is going into memory care. The facility is very clean, very positive, and upbeat. It's just a very conducive, very nice, and homey-type atmosphere. The staff seems very nice and competent, and they also have a nurse on staff twenty-four hours a day. It's just overall really nice. The layout of the community is nice. The memory care is all on the first floor, so it is very convenient for everyone. They have their own separate dining area, they have a namaste room where they do hand and foot massages, and they have a number of things that cater to their patients to try to keep them comfortable and interactive.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the knowledge that he told us about as far as the facility. He was very informative and did a very good job answering our questions. We put my mom-in-law at The Preserve at Palm-Aire. It's homey, it isn't overwhelming, and it's clean. I really like the people who work there. They are very, very nice to my mother-in-law. It's an older building, but it's OK and clean looking. It's a little outdated, but it's nice. There are no activities because of COVID.

My mother moved there 2 years ago and we can’t say enough good about the employees. They are always friendly and helpful and with this pandemic they are going above and beyond. One thing they do is chair exercises in front of their doors so they can see their neighbors but are a safe distance away. That’s just one thing. HIGHLY recommend.

My experience during the tour at The Preserve at Palm Aire is actually great. This is my first choice for my mom, it's a really nice community. The staff members who accommodated me during the tour were friendly and well-informed, they're very polite, fantastic, and knowledgeable about everything that's being offered. They're also really friendly with the residents and knew them by name. They just look happy. Most of their rooms are upgraded, clean, and neat. I didn't try the food, but the dining area is clean and neat. And they have done some renovations to one portion of the dining area since they're doing some upgrading. And they also have some great selections when it comes to the food. It's a very nice place.

The Preserve at Palm Aire is the nicest one. They have everything there. It is independent, assisted and memory care. It is very nice and very inviting when you walk in. I just wasn't ready to move in at the time. I'm looking for a place that takes Veterans benefits because my late husband was a veteran. Unfortunately, they don't take Medicaid, too. The resident who showed me around was very nice. They have a pool, which is a good thing for physical therapy. It is nicely landscaped, and the interior design is very nice, really warm and friendly when you walk in. The rooms themselves are very nice and I like the apartments. They accept pets, too.

My uncle moved into the Preserve at Palm Aire. We're finding out that it's not what they advertised, especially the care. The room is fine, but we feel we're not getting the personal care we paid for. The staff seemed nice, but the actual caregiver staff is not up to par, and some even have communication issues. The food is OK for me and the dining area is fine. The assisted living has a separate dining area, which isn't the greatest, but the main dining area, which you can use, is OK.

The Preserve at Palm Aire looked rundown. I didn't get a good feel from the place. It wasn't redone, and everything looked really old and beat up. It wasn't a place where my mother-in-law would be happy. They seemed to have a lot of parking areas and it looked fine outside, but it felt like more of an institution.

The Preserve at Palm Aire's rooms were clean. The bedroom was kind of small, but the bathrooms were appropriate for the handicapped. It was a pleasant environment, and my parents were comfortable with the idea that this might be a new home. The dining area looked clean, and my stepdad and mom were impressed with the menu. It seemed adequate because my stepdad and mom both are considering moving there. They had a salon, library, family meeting room, gathering space, pool with water aerobics, and buses that provide transportation to stores and pharmacy. They had a nurse who can provide medication management and weekly maid service that comes as needed. They offered assistance on a quarter-hour basis, like my mom needs assistance with dressing and grooming, they can have them scheduled to come in 15 minutes in the morning and evening. It was a well-designed independent program for the purpose of helping out couples that don't need complete assistance. The place was clean and smelled good.

I was unimpressed with The Preserve at Palm Aire. It's too big for me, and there was too much commotion in the main hall and area. The lady who showed me around was brand new and spent more time on things I didn’t want to know versus things I needed to know, and she showed me apartments that overlooked the parking lot. We also took 20 minutes to walk to a villa and walk back, which was too far for me. It was really a waste of time. The sales girl needs better knowledge, to be more prepared and know more about the people who are coming and what they're looking for. The showers in the rooms are impossible to use, and I didn’t like the place.

My aunt wanted to be close to me, and The Preserve at Palm-Aire is really close to my home. I can get to her in less than 10 minutes, and that was her main thing at that time. But I actually liked the facility. It was nice and very well kept-up. Something you do not figure out until you are there is how adequate the staffing is, so this is where I was having a little problem. There are things they promised my aunt that they weren’t following through on, but they have since corrected that issue, and I am happy with them. She has been there for almost 6 months now. They know who she is, they know her little quirks and stuff, and they have been adapting. It is a very nice and clean community. They seem to have a lot of activities. She uses their beauty salon, and she is happy with them. I notice they have a lot of outings and stuff, but she hasn’t used any of those; it is not like her to do that. They are having problems with their food service right now. They deliver her food to her room, and she is always having problems like it is cold, it is not right, or they are slow in the dining room when she goes down there to eat. So I think they need to work on their food service. Otherwise, they have been very attentive. She needs like 100 percent assistance like in showering and getting dressed in the morning, and getting ready for bed, and they have been very good about all that. Her biggest complaint right now is the food service.

I was treated to lunch the first time I visited the Preserve, and I was impressed with their menu. But it was not as warm. The aide called me again a second time right before I had decided on a place, and I told him that I will make a courtesy call only because he was so good to me and he told me a lot of things that I really needed to know and that I know nothing about. So I went over and I was thrown into a different building. It was not as nice as I particularly cared for. He took me to have lunch, and the menu was very different; it was a very hospital like menu. It was not for me. There were no decorations at it at all, and I felt claustrophobic going down to the apartment. He wanted me to take the 1-bedroom, but he showed me the efficiency because that is what I wanted. There were no windows in it, and there was a door that opened on to a little balcony, which I would have never take a chance and go out on, but that would be the only sunshine I would have in my apartment. I felt claustrophobic even in the halls. The aide was so good to me, but it was not for me.

The Preserve feels like a 5-star property. It’s very clean and neat. The apartments are in really great shape, and the food looks good. Mom has her own apartment, and she feels independent. We’ve had some issues, and my mom was on the toilet for an hour and a half waiting for them to come get her; another time was 50 minutes and then 40 minutes, and that was all within 25 days. The activities are endless, so they never have to be sitting in their apartments. They have bingo, cards, lectures, movies, and all different exercise programs.

The apartment I saw there was cheaper, but the next day, it was gone. They had three meals a day, transportation, and functions. They were practicing for some show. My mother in-law is in the Preserve; they were very helpful and concerned with getting her acclimated. Everybody seemed to know and is concerned about the residents. The rooms were small but well laid out, and it basically had everything she needs. The facility surroundings had a lot of foliage and trees. It was calm, peaceful, and nice to look at. They had 2 different restaurants that the residents can eat at; they had certain foods that are standard, and then they had specials for all 3 meals.

My mother-in-law likes The Preserve at Palm Aire because she has a nice, big two-bedroom apartment with a nice view. Everything about the place is good, and we're happy. The staff is very nice, too. They had special pricing over the summer, so she got a two-bedroom apartment for the price of a one-bedroom apartment. She likes the food there. My visit at The Preserve at Palm Aire was very nice, and I think that if my parents were going any place, it would be the choice. The rooms were not especially large, but it was just clean and freshly redone. They had a nice little garden and a sitting area outside. There's a salon for my mom to have her hair done. It sounded like a nice place to be. They're very cordial, and everything looked nice. We only met with one of the staff, and she was very informative, friendly, and wanted to spend time to answer all our questions so she did a nice job.

We have actually moved my father in to the Preserve. Three days after he got there, he had a very big pain, and he went to a hospital and hospice. He went back to the Preserve for about a week, but because he no longer needs nursing care only the scolio care and we could not afford that the Preserve as it would be like $10,000 a month, he had to leave. If he had not had any medical issue, he would still be at there at the Preserve because it was really a phenomenal place. It’s really nice. I would rate them 4 only because they did not pick up the laundry when they were supposed to do it, and they did not clean the place when they were supposed to do it. I know they have the service, but you have to ask for it.

The Preserve at Palm Aire is luxurious, snazzy and very nice. I have a lady friend there who loves it. It is a comfortable condo-type, so it's like having her own apartment and not just a room. The staff is very nice to me. It looks very nice and quiet in the woods. There are all kinds of good things for them to do, I am sure.

The Preserve at Palm Aire was really nice. They have rooms right there like an apartment where they flip a sign on the door when they get up in the morning to show that they’re OK. They have a main kitchen if you want to eat there, or you have your own kitchen in your apartment. They have a lot of activities, so there’s a lot going on. When I went to visit, the staff was very nice, and the residents seemed happy.

Everything at the Preserve at Palm Aire was very nice. The facility itself was very nice, and the people seemed very nice too, but we are not just ready to do anything yet. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The amenities were very nice; they have a nice dining hall and common areas. The rooms were small though.

I really liked the Preserve at Palm Aire. They obviously just redid it because it’s clean and freshly painted. It's a fairly nice place with a nice dining room. They have someone come in to sing and a card room where they play cards and bingo.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I have been living there for almost 7 years now, and I can tell you that our community has never been better. This new company - LCS - that came in in August is outstanding. The manager, Justin is at least two classes above all the prior ones COMBINED. What a leader-always interacting with all residents, walking the community many times daily, and putting resident's needs first. Scott, the chef is excellent. Don't ever allow these two to leave this place. I see some new employees, but the staff members that remained are great. The attitude of all the staff has improved tremendously in such a short period of time. For the first time ever, I am proud to call this place HOME. I am a 89 year old lady, involved in many activities, and groups who is as happy as can be living in a great, beautiful run place. Thank You Preserve!

Mom is in Preserve at Palm Aire, and we like it. The staff seem fine; however, she is not so happy with her cleaning lady. She is trying to get her switched to someone else, but everything else is OK. The food and location is good, and the facility is very nice. That was one of the reasons we chose it. They had lots of activities, the grounds are nice and the room is nice. It’s clean and doesn't smell of urine.

It was a pleasure to meet the person that spoke to me. I had a tour of the place and was able to go to specific rooms that were going to be most conducive for my husband and me. The staff at The Preserve at Palm Aire that we came in contact with as we were touring the facility was absolutely fantastic. The amenities were excellent, which means that it will certainly serve my purpose because I will not have to cook. The menus that I viewed were mouthwatering, believe it or not. The recreation and educational departments they had were fantastic. The assisted part will work for my husband, and independent will work for me. I am satisfied with the facility.

First of all, the facility looks nice and had interesting activities. The rooms were lovely but much smaller than the apartment my dad has now, so size was a big consideration. He has more room now, and since he walks with a walker, that was kind of important. The kitchen at Palm-Aire was really tiny. I think it would have been hard for him to navigate it. I only met the salesperson, and she was lovely. For me, my brother, and my husband, their activities stood out to us. They were far more intellectually stimulating than the ones where my dad is at now, and because of that, we were surprised he picked the place he's in now.

The Preserve at Palm-Aire happened to be the first place I have visited, and I am amazed to see how small the apartments are. I went to see a two-bedroom apartment and it happened to be just the size of my current living room. They do have a lot of activities, and they have a swimming pool. I ate there, and the food was terrible. 90% of the residents were women, and 100% of them were using walkers. I also realized that while I was there, they were trying to please me.

We visited The Preserve at Palm-Aire for my mom. I like it. Maybe it was a little smaller, but it was a nice facility. They have the same activities as the other place, but the size maybe was a little smaller. I'm pretty impressed with the layout. It was a little bit more compact so there wasn't quite as much walking required. They have arts and bridge. They take them to the theater, and they bring outside lecturers from the university. The facility was very secure and safe. The dining room was very nice. They seemed to be innovative in trying new things.

The Preserve at Palm-Aire just went under a huge renovation, and it was beautiful. The price -- as far as what they were offering for independent and assisted living and the way they had it set up and organized -- seemed perfect. I was impressed by the way they kept their grounds. Everything looked really nice. Their dining room had linens, and the food was prepared by a gourmet chef. They had students from hospitality industries training there. Their service was fantastic. Their system was one where if you need assistance, you just pick up the phone. They offer all utilities including a landline. So if there was an emergency, they just need to dial zero. They can get help with anything whether it was maintenance or anything along those lines. The residents wore a security emergency necklace around their necks for extra protection. They had a lot of wonderful things. They were very highly organized. The staff was very helpful. Everything was kept clean. They had housekeeping once a week, and they change the linens and towels. They even offer a laundry service if you needed it for independent living.   It was gorgeous. It was the best out of the four facilities that I saw. Everything was brand new. My father is at a full one-bedroom apartment which had all appliances. These people take pride in making sure that things were always painted fresh and everything was clean. The residents are getting the care that they need. There was always someone there to help. There were aides all over willing to assist. Whenever he needs help, it is going to be there. He loves it which was a big deal because a lot of them do not.  Also, everybody was energetic and smiling.

My mom has moved in to a place already. Preserve at Palm Aire is a really nice place. The food is great, and the staff is nice. It is a well-kept facility with nice grounds. She is in a two-bedroom apartment. It has two bathrooms and a kitchenette. I have tried to eat there, and it is good. They have lectures, card games, and day trips. They actually are the ones who made the decision to pick it the place because they are independent. I thought the grounds were nice.

We liked the Preserve at Palm Aire, but we are not really considering it. They gave us the option of having a villa that is separate from the main building and at first we thought it was a good idea, but then we realized it wouldn't be such a good idea after all. We ate there and the food was good. It was a beautiful place and the pool area was very nice and very attractive. They have been going through a renovation of the exterior parts of the building. They seemed to be dedicated to improving the facility and they are working hard in trying to become better.

I visited this facility while looking for a place for my mother. My mother ultimately wasn't ready for this move but the Preserve seems looked to be an attractive upscale residence. The downstairs was going through a renovation and the work was proceeding quickly. Design boards with photos and fabric swatches were posted throughout showing the future attractive updates. The facility is bright, active, spacious and has attractive landscaping throughout. The staff we met were warm and attentive from the front desk, through housekeeping. The scheduled showed daily activities from exercise to performances. There is also a "pop-up" store each week so that residents can have a variety of on-site shopping.

My friend lives here and I must say this place is terrible! I wish I could have my friend live with me. She is on the assisted living side and has already had TWO BED SORES! Sometimes when I come to visit her breakfast/lunch/dinner tray is still sitting on the counter ice cold and plastic wrapped because she hasn't been fed. There are tiny ants all over the apartment as well, I feel sorry for all the elders who live here. I constantly see the aides on their cell phones while sitting with residents, how lonely, I have also heard them scream at them. I would think twice before sending your loved one here, especially if they are on the assisted living side.

I went to see The Preserve. I found it quite shabby, but they are actually having some renovations. I am going to visit the facility again in June. What I like about this community is that they have a lot of people who actually work each day. The one thing that I didn’t like is that they charge the residents $25 a month for the emergency necklace, and I think it should be included in the price that they already have.

The Preserve was very nice, and I liked that one very much. The staff was impressive. They rooms were nice, and the ones I visited had a little balcony or a little porch. I liked that it was next to a body of water, but it wasn't the ocean. It looked more like a residential project than an assisted living project because it was a little more spread out. The grounds were nice. They had separate buildings. Someone from the other facility told me, "Yeah, but that's like, too spread out. You have to walk too much," and I said, "Look at me. That's what I do. I walk. I go to the gym five times a week. So I don't mind walking." They had a nice pool, but very few people used it.

The woman that had taken me around The Preserve was very nice. She took me to several apartments and throughout the whole building. She even introduced me to people and she answered all the questions that I needed to be answered. She took us to the activity rooms and showed us the calendar of all the events that they have planned there and their schedules. The rooms were very clean, very spacious and bigger than the others that I had seen. The place was very clean and it had no medicinal smell. I was very impressed.

I visited the Preserve with my mother. I thought that the place & the apts. were nice til I looked a little closer. The windows on the left when u first walked in (looked like a library) were dirty, as were the windows on the elevator outside. The carpeting was also dirty looking, as was the floor in the ceramics room. After I noticed this, I couldn't let my mother live there. I want her to live in a clean place.

We chose Preserve at Palm Aire because of the condition of the place, the staff and the rate. The place was very clean and upscale. The staff were very helpful. The dining room was spacious for the residents and the food was very good. My father-in-law had a two-bedroom apartment with his own bathroom. The reason we chose this facility has something to do with money. The price is right and is a very clean and nice facility. Their staff is very friendly, helpful and caring. Their food is good. The restaurant is very nice and comfortable. We got a one bedroom apartment for my mom. It has a washer and dryer so my mom can wash her own clothes. They have a full bath and full kitchen so they can cook. I liked that it is a nice clean spacious apartment. This is an assisted and non-assisted living facility. They do both. And they do all her medical for her. They make sure she takes her medicine because my mom's a diabetic.

Palm Aire is a great place for seniors to live. The location is close to shopping, the beaches and right next to 95. The staff was nice and very clean. The living quarters were modern and spacious. There is also a golf course on property for the residents to use.The staff does a great job of scheduling activities such as bingo, dancing and movie nights to keep the residents busy and socially interactive. The large dining room looked very attractive. The cost was moderate, about the same as other retirement communities in the surrounding area. I would recommend The Preserve at Palm Aire to anyone looking for a place to spend their golden years. Also nearby is the Pompano Isle casino and race track, which provides endless entertainment for the residents.

The staff in this facility were very interactive and kind to anyone that entered the facility. They find ways to give each member of the facility time to partake in stimulating activities. The rooms are kept in very good condition. They contain a bathroom and come with a bed. It can be compared to an apartment. One side is a nursing home and the other can be referred to as assistant living. This is a very nice place for people to go and i would recommend it to anyone attempting to live there. Florida is the place to be.

We happened to be in the area and decided to stop in to see Preserve at Palm-aire assisted living facility while searching for a place for my friend's mother to live. The outside area resembled any other seaside dwelling and looked well maintained. The interior design seemed easy to navigate and each room had good views with plenty of fresh sea air and light. Space is always at a premium on much of the coast, so we weren't expecting much in the way of activity rooms. We were pleasantly surprised that there seemed to be very nice and spacious rooms for social activities. Because the weather is so mild there, the residents may enjoy walks along the beach and spend time outdoors just about any time they like. The residents are encouraged to enjoy physical activity as much as possible. They also offer yoga and aerobics classes, sometimes held outdoors. The staff often takes residents on many outings into Pompano Beach's vibrant community to enjoy all that it has to offer. Seniors can enjoy sight seeing, nature walks and cultural events throughout the region. The staff appeared to accommodate all levels of ambulation. The dining areas offered great food that looked and smelled delicious. The menus included food options for all kinds of diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, and whenever requested. Private rooms featured nicely decorated surroundings, all with nice air, light and views. Staff appeared to make every effort to ensure that the residents were both safe and comfortable in this well-designed living environment.
