I visited this facility
I looked at Jackson Place. I have a friend that lives there. The neighborhood is rough, but the place itself is nice and it's kept clean. Everyone is taken care of. I didn't see any problems. The apartments are very nice. She's in a room for handicapped people. You walk into the kitchen when you first walk in the door. She doesn't have a tub. She has just a shower, and it's kept very nice. Nice-sized living room, nice-sized kitchen, nice cabinets, and the bathrooms are a nice size. You can go into it with your wheelchair, and then she has a bedroom and a lot of closet space. They have a community room, but because it's independent living, the people can get out and do their own thing. The staff is very nice people. They played bingo; they watched movies. They take them out; they take them to the stores.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
Many resources were made available to the individuals who resided in this assisted living facility including: on-site nurses, food delivery, regular visits from the PCA (Philadelphia Corporation for Aging), and regularly organized outing complete with transportation and meals. I would recommend this facility to any senior citizen needing these services.
