I visited this facility

The tour I had at MorningStar of Pasadena was good. They were very nice. I looked at the 2-bedroom and the 1-bedroom apartments with balconies and no balcony. They were very nice and very clean. They all had kitchenettes. The common areas were all beautiful. I went to the gym, the library, down to the cafe, and to the restaurant. They had a car park facility there. They had a beautiful garden. Everything was so beautiful. It was like a first-class hotel.

We went to MorningStar of Pasadena. The tour was fabulous. They showed the entire facility and explained everything. Everyone was extremely friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The staff even offered to assist me in finding other places for my mom as that particular place was not appropriate for her, so they were just extremely friendly. I visited by myself that day because my mom wasn't feeling well, so they offered me to bring her back and to have lunch. I enjoyed the tour. The reason that we didn't choose them is they didn't have any respite care available. Nevertheless, they had a beautiful facility. The food that they were serving that day smelled amazing. They had a game room, they had outings, they had a patio area where they had gardening, and they had a salon where you could get your hair and your nails done. They had just lots of different little nooks and crannies like little library areas and music rooms.

MorningStar of Pasadena was a beautifully put-together place. I could very much picture myself there. The lady that took me around was excellent. She even gave me a little box of homemade cookies, like a parting gift, and they were good. Everything looked tiptop. There's some lovely artwork and fresh flowers. I liked the way how each of the rooms was laid out, as well as the common spaces, the outside, and the garden area in the middle. The dining facilities were lovely, too. The places to get snacks and other things were very easy to go to, because they had them set up on each floor.

MorningStar of Pasadena was very high-end and very clean. The staff was very attentive, but also correspondingly very expensive. They had bedrooms and most of them did not have kitchens. I think they had suites. They had a bathroom with a lower entry, so you don't have to step over it. They had seats built into the bathroom. They had a movie theater, crafts, a library, and all that stuff. It's very well-stocked. You're getting a lot, but you're also paying a lot. They're top-of-the-line.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

MorningStar of Pasadena is beautiful. Their price point is good compared to everyone else. Now that my husband is there in the memory care, he is getting wonderful care. The place is really lovely. We could tell people were engaged in activities and everything. They sent a picture of him where they had him with colored pencils (he hasn't done anything like that in forever). They also have movies and little crafts where they plant succulents in pots. They have games available, puzzles, and they took him on a little excursion with their little bus. People guide him to actually do the activities, so it really is quite nice. The staff is very concerned and very kind. They communicate with me and they are very aware of what's happening. They are very gentle with the memory care people.

Provider Response

We went to look at MorningStar of Pasadena. My client was impressed with the facility. They have a beautiful grand piano. He enjoyed all the features that they offer. They had a one-bedroom, a two-bedroom, and a studio. Some of the units had balconies. They have a general kitchen on each floor. It's a multi-story building. They had two or three libraries, recreation rooms for hobbies and crafts, and a big garden.

Provider Response

Thank you so much! We love to show off the love beneath our roof.

We went here and it was very nice but too fancy for my mother. The food was very good. It was in the heart of Pasadena, so it was close to many things in the city. It was like a big apartment building. The apartments and the dining area were very nice. The menu and the food were excellent. It's well decorated and aesthetically pleasing. They had lots of activities, like a gardening club where people could go plant in pots and things that the residents could grow.

My visit was very nice, but the unit faced a street and I could hear street noise. It was a little dark but was a very nice unit. We're going for a quieter and more homey place. It felt that we were right in the middle of downtown Pasadena. The rooms were very nice. They had a very small parking lot right in front of the building.

I have a friend who's staying here. I've been to their dining room, which is formal, and you are served. It's clean and spacious. She has a studio and it's a nice size. She was able to fit a bed and a couch and have a dresser. She has quite a bit of furniture in there. She has a patio area that she goes to sit on during the daytime and goes outside to sit. I saw the laundry room. The food was good. I did have lunch and dinner there.

I like the apartments here better. The way they were laid out or designed had a lot more character. They gave me a cake which turned out to be very nice. The dining room was lovely; it had a ramp for wheelchairs. They had parking facilities.

It was a little hard to find. The entrance was around the corner from another corner. Once I got in there, it was great. The rooms were very nice.

My mother is in here in a one-bedroom unit with a small kitchenette, and it’s excellent. They provided a furnished unit for her. The dining room is a sit-down with a wait staff who do an excellent job of taking care of her. Their activities are really great.

We went here and the place was lovely and had beautiful rooms, each with a kitchen with granite countertops. Each room has a balcony, and that was very nice. They had a lot of activities. The staff who gave me the tour was wonderful, and when I left, they gave me a cake in a very beautiful box.

We chose here for my in-laws, but, my father-in-law passed away, and my mother-in-law needed a memory care facility so we moved her to another facility. However, we were happy with it. It was very nice, lovely, clean, and great facility. They lived there for three weeks. It was very close to a hospital. They had a dog or animals that came in for petting. They had book rooms, cinema, sing-a-long, crafts, painting, bridge, current events, anything you could want.
