The people at Peace Village are very caring. So far, they take great care of my husband and we're impressed with them. He has a studio apartment. We furnished it with all of his necessary needs. There's a bed, a dresser, and a TV. They play bingo and card games. They also take them on outings every once in a while, do exercises, and watch movies.

I visited Peace Village. I like the location. It was a very good location. The grounds are very pretty. The buildings are very, very nice. They have a few restaurants, and the restaurants are nice. The hallways are well-kept. They have a couple of washing machines on each floor, and that's very convenient. Most of them that I've seen have balconies, which are very nice, and there's plenty of closet space, too. They have a lot of activities there that you can participate in. Every day, they go somewhere else, and they even go to where you can play the slots. I thought it was very outstanding. The price is right in comparison to the other facilities. Another thing is, if you have a car, they have inside parking, which is great. It's an additional cost, but it's minimal. If I will be making a change, I probably would go to the Peace Village. The person who took me around was very informative, very thoughtful, and very polite. She's a nice, personable person. She went above and beyond her duties because she gave us a few interesting points that we didn't think of. About the food, the people that we talked to were all very happy with the meals. They kept saying to us, 'Are you moving in?' We kept saying, 'We're thinking about it,' and they said, 'You'll be very, very happy'. So it seems like the residents are very happy. They have all kinds of facilities. They have different buildings and a person that is unable to walk would have to have a scooter or something, and the halls are wide enough for that. I saw two people on walkers. There are different types of restaurants and they're throughout the different buildings. The conveniences are good if you're able to manage for yourself. It wouldn't be a place that you couldn't manage. You would have to have a caretaker or go to assisted living.

From what I saw, Peace Village looked good. It was certainly one we would have considered. The staff showed me around the facility, let us poke around, and all that. They showed us where the dining was, and they showed us an exemplary room. I know they had activities, and they talked to me about what you could do, what sort of staff you may have available, the type of care, and all that. The staff was nice.

Peace Village was gorgeous, it was very nice. They've got different kinds of apartments. The only thing I did not like is that it doesn't have a washer and dryer in the apartment. You can have one installed, they'll do it if you want it at $1,000. They have different things going on, they have concerts and all kinds of stuff like that. The staff that assisted me was perky. It's got a $49,000 buy, and you have to come up with that right away. I was looking at the smallest unit, the one-bedroom with living room, kitchen, and bathroom is $1,990 a month. The whole place looks nice. It's one of the cheapest ones out there. After the initial $49,000, the rent is not that high, but it was out of my reach. It seems like the people there were very nice and it's all elevators, so you don't have to worry about climbing stairs.

My mom just moved into Peace Village maybe four or five months ago. She's in assisted living and she's 92. She's well taken care of. It's nice. It has a nice layout. She kind of has her own room, but she shares a room with somebody. They have exercise classes, a church, and a beauty shop where you can get your nails done. They have a very good cafeteria. And their staff is very, very nice. You can have your food delivered to the apartment if you need to. You can go to the beauty shop and get your nails and your hair done every week if you want. My mom is having a great time. She plays cards and bingo, and she is doing something every day. She's very involved.

The Peace Village was very nice and very clean. The personnel there seemed very nice and it had a nice setup for older people. We looked at their independent living, and everybody was friendly. It was very clean and they seemed very caring. The staff who showed us around was very, very helpful and she described everything very well. I was there once before, during lunch, and the food was very good. I would have liked to see a larger apartment but theirs was also very nice. They had a beautiful courtyard, a pond with a fountain in the middle, and it's a beautifully-landscaped place.
