The Atrium Village was nice and clean. It was a beautiful place. Everybody there was very very friendly. The dining area was beautiful. The cooks were nice and clean. They had nice white tablecloths on the dining room tables. They give you breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you didn't like the meal that they had for that day, you could order something else. They clean your room. They do your laundry, and they have many activities. They take you to the doctor when you need to go to the doctor. The best part about it was when I entered the room, the place was beautifully bright. The decoration was beautiful. Nothing was thrown around. I smelt nothing like urine or anything. Everything was just beautiful, the walls were clean, beautiful flowers, and all the decorations. They fixed it up nice. It was a pretty place, and you could bring your furniture there.

Atrium Village had everything to offer, and it was beautiful. It had an excellent dining hall, a recreation, and a library. It had as many amenities as you could want. The person who gave me the tour was wonderful. Rebecca was outstanding, and the chef was a top chef, so we felt very good about it.

I went to Atrium Village. It was nice and clean. The staff were nice and pleasant. They gave me all kinds of information that they thought best suited my relative being a Vietnam vet, so that was really nice. As a matter of fact, the coordinator still calls me. She asked me if I was still looking for my relative, so she was really nice.

I loved Atrium Village. I loved the facility. The only problem I found was there was no outdoor space. Since I'm still in the space of independence, it's important for me to be able to grow a plant in a container on the deck. I was saddened that they hadn't thought of that. They had independent living and then they had assisted living, but no medical attention as a part of their program, which is perfect for me. The staff was very friendly. I did spend time with some of the residents who walked me around the grounds. Had they had gardening on the grounds, that would have been fine for me, like flowers and things that you could tend to and turn the dirt, that would have been useful. They had gym equipment and a little library, which I was very excited about because I am a book lover. The staff was wonderful, warm, and responsive to my questions. It was clean. The quality of air was fresh because I'm asthmatic, so I paid attention to the quality of air. There were no deodorizers or odors. They have been keeping in touch and they have invited me back. They have several highly publicized extracurriculars. There's a car show. They had a seventies dance, they had a prom, and they invited me to those things. I would have gone especially to the car show. Whoever is their activity person or whoever is in charge of planning goes beyond and above.

I toured Atrium Village. I liked the fact that everything was close by. You didn't have to go walking long distances to get to someplace. They had some nice activities listed. However, I didn't like the fact that it was just really a rental situation, and if you were there for a long time and ran out of money, you would be kicked out. I liked the layout of the apartments, especially the one-bedroom with a den. It was very clean. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the community. They put out scones, and I tasted a scone, and it was very good. The dining area looked very nice. The one-bedroom had a kitchenette and a washer and dryer. They had an outdoor area, a library, and a physical therapy room, too.

My dad has moved to Atrium Village. We chose this place for him because it's gorgeous and they have great service. Everybody was very accommodating. The staff members were very accommodating. They made sure that we moved him in safely and efficiently. They gave us a lot of referrals for help to get in, moved in, and they checked on them every day. He feels comfortable and secure in this place and he feels safe. The food that I ate there was good, but Dad had a meal yesterday that he did not desire. In terms of activities, they have something for everybody. Their facilities are gorgeous, everything is updated, and it doesn't look like a senior home, it looks like they're living at the Hilton. The cost is a bit much, but you get what you pay for.

We toured Atrium Village and it was an A++. It was very clean, the apartments were very nice and updated with a washer and dryer. It was just very expensive, but everything was very nice. The community, the food program, everything we liked. The staff member who gave us the tour was very good. They had amenities like a library area and a movie theater, and they have everything to make you comfortable there.

We're planning to move my father to Atrium Village. We like the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the location. They offer local transport to doctors' appointments and local shopping, offer housekeeping, and excellent dining services. I like everything about it. We didn't eat there but the atmosphere at their little bistro and their main dining hall was very nice. We saw them doing activities, we saw their activity rooms, and where they have physical therapy or occupational therapy. The room we saw was pretty nice, we chose a 1-bedroom suite and it came with a washer and dryer, so that was nice.

The Atrium Village was lovely. It has several different places for the residents, like assisted living and independent living. It was well suited for any needs. I like their activities, the community, the people living there, and the staff. at times, they had entertainment for them and anything that you would need in a property, it was just perfect. I saw the dining area and one of the apartments, the dining area in particular was very nice. Their food was very good, it was a cuisine that was Caribbean so it was very nice and very tasteful.

Visually, a nice facility. Looked into the facility to place mom. However, personnel was not able to provide basic information about the number of COVID cases or the number of falls over the past 30 day period. The family was advised they are unable to provide the information because it would be a HIPAA violation. It appears the staff lacks the appropriate training to provide services for the population.

My overall visit to The Atrium Village was very good, they seem to have everything we're looking for. The folks are very responsive and answered our questions, they gave us a lot of good information. There's good space, there are people there who were there to help, and the transition to assisted living would be fairly easy. We saw a 1-bedroom apartment, it was very clean and nicely set. It's everything we're looking for.

My mother is in Atrium Village. It's an excellent place for one's parents to be in. It's an excellent residence for one's senior years. The rooms are beautiful, beautifully well-kept, well designed, and efficient. The rooms that I saw were equipped with their own cooking areas. My mom could do her own cooking and cleaning. The residents are encouraged to be independent and do as much as they can do according to their own abilities. They have many activities for them to do. They were doing some entertaining activities that they've participated in. They had some coming in, and they encouraged them to participate in. They always have something going on. The staff seems to be on point as far as having things well in place for them to keep them active. The meals are included in the fee that you pay. She didn't care for the food, so she was not a big fan of the food. I thought that it was OK.

Provider Response

We're thrilled to hear about the positive impact our community is having on your family. The amazing people living and working here truly make it feel like home, one where all our residents can be comfortable, and their families can rely on us to take care of their loved ones. Thank you so much for the positive feedback!

I went to Atrium Village. They spent like two million dollars in renovating the place to bring it up to (I guess) the current generation. It really looks good. It had more of a resort/hotel style environment. There's a lot of construction going on at the time, so they can only point out to me what the new dining room will look like and what the new activities will look like. They had a barber shop. They had a very huge activity room with more than one television set. They had an arts and crafts room. They had an internet cafe. It was very, very nice. The place was very clean. The residents appeared to be very happy. They were friendly, and the staff appeared to be preoccupied and busy and handling things the way that they should. Overall, that was an excellent place. The only reason why I didn't choose it was because it was out of the budget.

I went to see Atrium Village in Owings Mills. They had three sample apartments, and I looked at the one-bedroom in their independent living. It's very small, not unmanageable, but small. There were two closets that wouldn't even make a good-size hall closet if you put them together. The building was nice, clean, and very attractive. They're doing a lot of renovations there too, but it was just extremely small for me. They have an exercise room, a library, and a small theater. They also have a big community room. They get two meals a day. There are no outside activities unless they take trips to different places. They also don't have swimming pools. Inside, they have a billiards room, and other activities that they put together. They have reading groups and they have arts and crafts. I remember that because I watched a group of people in their arts and crafts during my visit, but even that room was also small. They told me that they serve you your meals if you don't want to eat in the dining room or the cafeteria. You could order meals too, but you have to pay for them separately.

I like The Atrium Village. The only thing that I didn't like is that it was just so tiny, and I'm coming from a big home. I describe it as a matchbox, but everything else is fine. The menus were excellent. The food was very tasty and well-served. What I saw of the staff was wonderful. It was very nice. I liked the reception room going in the lobby. The sales manager that I talked with was very good, very helpful, and very informative. The activities director talked with me about some of the things that they did there, and some of the residents there. They were friendly. It was a mixed group of races which I like. It was clean. I just didn't like the way that there were so many seniors sitting around the lobby, like they're in a nursing home. They're just sitting there as if they were drugged, and not actually involved in doing anything. I didn't like that, and I didn't like the kind of odor that I smelt when I went in. I looked at a 1-bedroom with a den, but other than that, it was beautiful. The outside was very nice. The grounds were kept up, and the inside was nice. The activities director was very kind and interesting, a jovial kind of person. That would be the place that I would consider.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I am at the Atrium Village with my son and I've been here for three years already, while he's been here for about three and a half years. We share a two-bedroom apartment in the independent living section and the apartment we have is lovely. There are two private bedrooms, two private baths, a small kitchen, a big living room, and a dining room. The people are nice, but the food is not very good. It could be better. Due to COVID they don't have much things to do for almost a year and a half, but they're starting to have them now. Also, they take people out to different restaurants for meals, to grocery shopping, and to other stores if they want to. They take us to the bank once a week, but they don't have good transportation to doctors and hospitals. It's very limited. For example, my son and I, each one of us has a doctor's appointment either at the University of Maryland or Johns Hopkins Hospital, but they don't want to take us to either one. They're currently refurbishing the kitchen, the dining room, the lobby, and the whole place. It's all been torn up for a couple of months already. I think when it's finished, it's going to be very nice. As people move out, they're redoing the apartments as well. There's a movie place here and somebody who talks about history a little bit. I think they go over local news or national news once in a while, too, take you out to religious services, play some card games, checkers, and bingo.

The facility has a history of poor management, frequent employee turnover, broken elevators, flooding in the dining room, water leaking in from windows, mold growing on the a/c unit, clogged plumbing, cold food, non-responsive staff and debiting your checking accounts for funds they are not entitled. This is based on the experiences of my parents over the past decade during which they had a least 5 different directors, and countless changes in the dining room management. They recently experienced significant management turnover at the facility and are working to cover up obvious problems with fresh paint and flooring. The problems go much deeper.

The Atrium Village was clean, and the rooms were very clean and neat. The tour guide was really helpful with the information that he gave to us. It was the place that I was thinking of putting my mother in. They had a dining room, pottery shop, dance activities, and a garden. They also had physical therapy on-site, and different doctors that go and visit. They also had a home attendant who would come and help that you have to pay out-of-pocket for. They're going to do some remodeling like painting and putting in new floors. I was impressed. It felt homey.

The Atrium Village's price was reasonable and what they offered was good. The apartments were very nice. My sister moved in on May 15th. The service is good. We've had some glitches where I've been upset a couple of times. They tried to put us in an apartment which was not acceptable whatsoever. They did move us to another apartment, and the one we're in now is nice and my sister is enjoying it and really likes it there. Maintenance is pretty good. The only complaint I have is it's difficult to get the management because you're usually sidetracked by the receptionist at the desk in the front. The food was good, and they were accommodating. My sister hates the breakfast because she says it's kind of greasy, but she does like dinner and she goes down for that. They do a lot of trips, locally and overnight, exercise, and bring in someone to play music in the lobby. They have card activities and bingo.

Provider Response

Thank you Linda! We always appreciate feedback because it helps us improve our community. We're glad your overall experience here has been good, and we hope to continue to serve you well in the future. Mostly, we appreciate you leaving such a detailed review because it helps seniors and their families get a good idea of what to expect in our community and you, of course, know how helpful that can be when making a decision about a new home. Thank you again!

I loved Atrium Village. It's number one on my list because they offered everything that we were looking for. The staff member was great, he was very accommodating in as far as letting us see everything and answering our questions, and he was very nice. They have a 1-bedroom and a studio, and he showed us all the differences, what’s available, and other things that you can’t see. He was very informative and very good. The menu changes daily. They offer not only a regular menu, but they also have alternatives, and they also have other options like sandwiches and soup. I think they only offer two meals a day. They set up transportation to doctors, they have maintenance members on the staff, she can keep her car there if she can still drive, and they have resident parking. The transportation was a key for me. If she has a problem, someone’s there on the staff that can help her. She’s independent, but she can transition to assisted living and doesn't need to move. The staff was friendly. When we went in, we went in the wrong entrance, and set off an alarm. The girl in that area came running right to the door, she informed us that we came in the wrong door, but she walked us around to where we needed to go, to the true front desk. Everybody we dealt with that day was very friendly and very nice.

My father moved into the Atrium Village. He has a one-bedroom apartment. They provide two meals a day, friendly staff, clean environment, and friendly residents. They also have studios, a one-bedroom den, and a two-bedroom apartments. They always have something every night, like bingo and poker, and have a library, pool tables, trips to the grocery stores, and a lot of bands coming in the evening. There’s an exercise room and on-site physical therapy, if you’re prescribed physical therapy. One of his biggest concerns is the food. It was set up like an apartment, so they have elevators to get to the floors, but they could have more elevators.

Provider Response

Brian-- We are glad that your experience with our community has been positive and you have found our activity and entertainment schedule to be robust! We are always working to provide a better experience for our residents and will note your constructive criticism about the elevators.

The care that my mom is getting at The Atrium Village is fine so far. She hasn't been complaining about it. We had breakfast there together, and it was actually good. Overall, she's enjoying everything. It's a very good value. What she likes is the physical therapy inside, and she socializes with people in the dining area.

I toured The Atrium Village and I thought it was well run. I had the opportunity to meet all the people in charge of various departments, and they were all extremely professional, caring, and answered all my questions. It seemed like all the residents there are happy, and it looks like a real community. At the end of the day, they were able to work with me on the financial side of things and get me something that fits within our budget while still getting the level of care that my mother needed. The food there looked excellent. One of the things I liked about the place was that there was a small kitchenette that's shared with another resident, and we can store specific food that my mother needs that may not be on the daily menu. They have all sorts of activities, art and music therapy, concerts in the lobby, and a little shopping mart, and they have happy hours.

Glad that we visited this facility. It is for rental only, and has independent, assisted and memory care units. So this is an option that some of us can wait later in life or having health problems to move there. Has doctors come to the place couple times a week. Many programs. The place is good, but seems not adequate air conditioning in a hot day. Some tenants were complaining.

My sister was in Atrium before. She had a one-bedroom with a tiny kitchenette and a bathroom. My sister liked the food, and they had a lot of activities. Some of the facilities could use remodeling. The staff was good and considerate. They had a movie room, a nice library with computers, a lot of books, and a small place for exercise. The dining area was relatively nice. They had two shifts, and you could eat at different times.

The Atrium Village was the best. I took time to locate the best community and the best price. It was my choice, but it didn't work out. The facility was excellent, the staff was excellent, the activities were all excellent, and the food was excellent. Everything about this community was perfect. It was very clean. The problem that I had there was that Mom wasn't ready to be there in assisted living.

Atrium Village's appearance is very nice. It's also very clean. Most of the staff is very nice and very helpful. The only problem is maintenance or getting things done. My father had some tapping noise in the ventilation in his bathroom. I had to tell the maintenance man how to fix the tapping noise. For 20 years I've remodeled bathrooms, and I had to teach the maintenance guy how to fix it. Overall, I like the place, and I like the staff as well. The food is excellent. I've eaten there a few times and I think it's great. However, I think the pricing is a little on the high side, but not extremely. The price could be a little better, and the maintenance could be a little better. Mostly the maintenance staff just needs more training. One or two staff members I interacted with were a little abrasive, but mostly, everyone is fine, like the girl at the front desk was a sweetheart, she was nice and helpful.

We have been here at the Atrium Village for about 11 years, and we have been somewhat satisfied. The food is not the best in the world, but we have conveniences like they take us to the doctor if we want to go. It is a satisfactory place to live in your senior years. The staff is very cooperative. There are so many people here in wheelchairs, and it gets congested at times. We have a 3-room apartment with 2 baths. One room we use as a computer room, and then a living room and a bedroom. There is a physical therapy facility in the building, which is run by Genesis, and it is an independent facility. There are planned trips, weekly trips to the grocery store, and occasional trips to the picture shows. We got 2 buses that they arrange for transportation on various days.

The Atrium Village was a fabulous community that offered quite a bit for their residents to do. They re-evaluate them on regular basis to move people from independent to assisted living. My mother felt that it was too large and overwhelming for her. They had a library and computers in there for the residents to use. At one point they had a training class for the computers, which was impressive. They had laundry services and three meals a day. They also had a small shop on the site, so if the residents needed anything like toothpaste or other basic necessities, they could go right to the shop, which was run by the residents themselves. That was quite impressive. The staff was accommodating, very friendly, and answered all of our questions. We had a wonderful meal.

The head nurse at the Atrium Village is very rude to both family members and staff. I moved my father out because she was so nasty. There is a high turnover of employees and I believe she is one of the reasons. When you have a family member living under these circumstances you expect the head nurse to be a caring individual. This is not the case at the Atrium Village.

I was not at all pleased with the apartment in The Atrium Village. It was not appealing at all in that it was very small and not set up well. It was a lot less than what I had expected. They only showed me the one-bedroom, though. The living room was very small and would not have accommodated my furniture. There wasn't a place to sit down and eat. There was a kitchen with a sink, a refrigerator, and a stove but no room to set up a table. The room was just a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living room. They offered a lot of services if that’s what you need and what you’re looking for.

If the time comes that I need to go into a senior facility and The Atrium Village still looks the way it does now, it would be the perfect place for me. Everyone was very pleasant and very informative. It would have been a better choice for my mom because in two to four years' time, she would need the assisted living and not need to transfer communities. My visit was really a wonderful experience. There is something for everybody to be engaged in and enjoy a good quality of life. They were always open to ideas, too. If there is an idea from anybody, they were willing to listen and take that into consideration.

It’s very nice and personable. However, the distance and the cost was the problem.

The Atrium Village had a nice setup, but since they were full, we didn’t spend a lot of time there. However, the atmosphere was very nice and welcoming. It was very nicely put together and laid out.

I was able to visit The Atrium Village, and it’s a very nice community. Their houses looked nice, and the staff was very nice as well and interested in trying to get the residents involved in activities. I thought that was nice. They have several dining rooms, and the one I saw was very nice.

I was very impressed with the facilities at Atrium Village. The people were very kind. They gave me a nice tour and showed me one of the rooms that my mother would have been living in. I talked to a few nice staff members. They also showed me the calendar of activities, which was pretty good and had a broad range of activities. It’s probably about a 20-minute drive from the hospital. There’s a little strip mall right across the street that had a grocery store, a pizzeria, and a bank.

It was wonderful. Everything about Atrium Village was fine -- the rooms, the food, the atmosphere. When I visited, they were setting up for a musical that day and were about to be entertained by someone playing the piano. There were people who were getting therapy done, and there was someone in the library using the computer, and in the hair salon getting their hair done.

The Atrium Village seemed overcrowded. There were so many people sitting all over the place, and they kind of looked very sad. The staff was wonderful. The rooms and apartments were small, but they were nice. They had a nice dining room and good food. Most people were either in wheelchairs or walkers.

The Atrium Village was very similar to where my mother-in-law is now -- lots of activities and beautiful rooms. I haven't seen anybody including where she is right now whose rooms are as nice as theirs for the price that you pay. The staff seemed very friendly, and they did have lots of planned activities, but you pay for your level of care. It's one of those places that you really can't count on where she's going to be a month from now as far as your finances. That would've been my second choice. They also would transport them to doctor's appointments as needed.

The Atrium Village seemed like it was too big with long hallways. It looked like a business more than a home. The staff did not seem as friendly. The dining area seemed like a cafeteria. I do not think my aunt would have liked that facility.

I am sorry to learn of your initial impressions about our community. While our community houses many people, we pride ourselves in creating a caring and supportive environment for our residents and our family members. I would love to have the opportunity to further discuss how we try to maximize each person’s experience here. Again, I am sorry that you did not select our community, and we did not have a chance to work together.

The Atrium Village was clean and welcoming. The staff was professional, and the rooms and apartments were small but clean. The dining room was neat and clean; it was more like a restaurant. It is close to my house. I believe that the place was safe and secure.

It was a very pleasant looking facility with very nice rooms, and the staff seemed to be nice as well. It was just very large, which I don't think my mother would care for. The rooms were pretty adequate. If it were for me, I would prefer The Atrium Village.

There were several things that we did not like about the Atrium Village. There were terrible odors on one of the floors that we went on, the entire floor smelled like urine, and it was very outdated. There was one enormous area that people just kind of congregated in, and it just seemed to be not a good place for people who aren’t used to large crowds or low vision, which my father has. The rooms were just small. We actually went into the dining room, and the dining room had a bad odor. They had food like they were placed out sitting in the room quite a bit for dinner time, and it was so hot in there I thought that the food was going to go bad. It was just really not good. On one of the floors that we went on, the entire floor smelled like urine so, clearly, they were not taking care of their residents who had incontinency issues, so I think they are going to need more experienced staff. And they just need to upgrade the facility. It is a large place, so I can imagine it would cost millions of dollars to upgrade the place. It was just an old building, and everything looked old and dingy. I would say it needs a remodel.

It was a very good, brief but thorough, explanation of what I could expect at Atrium Village with an invitation to come back. I saw one or two of their rooms, and they looked very nice, clean, bright, and pleasant. I didn't get to eat, but I saw the dining setup, and it looked very homey and inviting to anyone who might want to eat to have a meal there. I believe they have activities that include in-house games or things like that. It was very pleasant even though it was a short visit.

Atrium was very airy and open. The problem was that they had an outbreak of flu of some sort and the gentleman was not able to show me the apartments. He apologized several times, and he took me over to another side, but it really wasn't the side where my mother would be staying, and I understood that; I wasn't upset with that. That happens, and they have to follow the guidelines of the state regulations, but the person who hosted me was very informative and very helpful. The amenities were very nice. What I really liked was that the gentleman knew what I was interested in, and he did follow-up with me weeks later to say, "Hey, the room that you were interested in has become available if I can help." It was a follow-up that was appreciated. I didn't take him up on it, but the point is that he was responsive and understood what I wanted and followed up with me. They have a lovely dining area. It was set up in a way that you really felt like you were going to a restaurant; it was very well-decorated, very well-kept, and it would make a resident there feel very welcome when served. It was a very large place, and it had a regular independent living area, I believe it had an Alzheimer's section, and obviously the assisted living which is what my mother would need. So, all in all, it was a very lovely place. It was physically a little farther from where my home is, so I would have to travel more to visit my mom and things like that, but it was still nice. It was more modern living.

We looked at the Atrium -- and we liked it -- but they didn't have any rooms available right at the moment and we needed to get my mother-in-law in a place quickly. It was a very good visit. The people were very nice. They spent a lot of time with me talking through what they had and what they could offer, they checked in with me while I was trying to make my decision, and I was very impressed with them. We probably would have chosen this one over the others if they had a room.

We've seen the Atrium Village several times. It is a larger place that has independent, assisted living, and memory care attached to it if you needed it. We initially were looking for independent living, but she is on the cusp. It turns out after a doctor's appointment that she was more on the assisted side because she needs more assistance. This place offers little studio apartments, so she still has a sense of having her own place with her own key. She is not alone, so if she gets confused, somebody is there. The dining hall is very nice. It is very comfortable and inviting. They have cloth chairs, and it has a sense of a little dining room. The staff seems very friendly and very nice. They have a whole list of schedule from arts to dance lessons to bingo and excursions.

The Atrium Village had a room in each patient or client area where guests could come, and my mother would be able to eat in her own room, so it was the only place that I approved of. They would start with a reasonable price, then would go up as needs arise, and they had facilities for that. I loved it. I only talked to one person, and the ones that were passing the hall seemed friendly. The one thing that I didn't like was someone was administering her meds. They had to get 15 minutes of time for her to administer the medication. That was charged almost by the minute, and I didn't like that. I also didn't like that they only had one bath tub that you could walk into, and you had to make an appointment to have that. However, I loved their dining area. It was beautiful.

We chose Atrium Village because of what they had to offer and the price. It is independent, but they have nice bells and whistles like you have to check in everyday. We don’t need assisted, but the independent. They did some housekeeping, and it comes with two meals. It’s not like they were on their own, so that was a good fit for both of my parents.

Out of the three places I’ve visited, Atrium Village was my choice. They have on-ground therapists, and they allowed pets. The staff was very nice, and the rooms were lovely. I like the population of the clientele. I thought that it was splendid, and I thought that was something that she would really like, that she would be comfortable there. I looked at the people around, and the place is very warm.

We found a facility for my relatives called The Atrium (The Atrium Village). My cousin has only been there a week and her husband has been there for three weeks. They feel that the living room and the kitchen area are spacious enough for them. They each have a twin bed and a dresser, so they feel that their room is spacious enough. They are on the fourth floor. They would have rather had been lowered down so they could see more, but they are happy with the room. The food is very good. The staff, so far, is very good, except I noticed when the beds were made, the bed spreads were hanging out on the floor, which were a good cause for a fall. However, the reception people were very friendly and helpful. With regards to sanitation of this place, so far, it is okay.

Atrium Village was comfortable. I didn’t have any major objections to it. I talked to the personnel, who gave me a nice tour, and then I met with the person who I’ve been talking on the phone. They were nice and perfectly friendly. The rooms were not exceptional but acceptable. The dining room was fine. They seemed to have card games and exercise rooms. But to be honest, I was more interested in the outside; they have a nice walk around the area.

When I met the staff at The Atrium Village, they all seemed to be very caring people. They were very interested in what they could do to help my mother get accustomed to the place and what kind of activities she enjoyed doing. It seemed they really wanted to help her. I opted for my mom to stay there because they had a place available and the price was reasonable. She had a very pleasant room. There were activities every day, like trivia, sing-alongs, bingo, etc. They came to her room and made sure she got out and tried to interact with the other residents. Sometimes it was successful, sometimes it was not. It would be better if they kept the family a little bit informed. Although, it might not have been their fault; it might have been my mom, since she had dementia. There was a time I asked when they picked up her laundry or cleaned the house, and they said it was on her door. It took three times for them to finally check that the schedule on her door was still there. But then, my mom took it down after they came.

This is a great value for independent living. Sales staff is nice and informative however they need to provide full disclosure on major repairs that will effect their tenants. They management team needs to be more collaborative . Right hand connecting to the left. Business manager drops things at times or forgets. Generally speaking stronger management team is needed so that all are in the loop. Terry at the front desk assumes a lot of responsibility . Work on more activities . Maintenance is good -you need additional people working in that area. Your repairs in the building need to be addressed. Proactively !! That being said this is a nice place with room for improvement.

my mom has been a resident of the Atrium for over 10 months and she is very pleased with the facilitates. the staff is nice and very professional. the new manager, Mr. Darryl, is doing an excellent job in getting the place in ship shape. the staff in general are great and they are very kind and respectful to all the residents. i would rate this place a score of an A. if i had to say anything negative about the Atrium is that they need more bingo and craft sessions for the residents. Bingo is played twice a week and the residents really enjoy. they need it 3-5 times a week. maybe even a couple of casinos nights.

She loves The Atrium Village. She qualifies in the independent living more so in the assisted living. They offer her breakfast and dinner, they’re pretty much on their own for lunch. On Sundays, they offer brunch. Each apartment has their own kitchen so they can provide meals for themselves when they want. They have many activities and they also provide transportation to doctor’s appointment and to stores like Walmart. So far she really likes the place.

Mom is in Atrium Village and she's doing good there. It is our choice because of the location and because the facility itself is very nice. My mom's room is very nice also. It is clean and roomy. They have a lot of activities. She's doing occupational therapy. Some of the people there are good and some of them are not. I think they need a little bit more staff. But I will recommend it to others.

I came across Atrium Village through your website. They seem to be very nice. The rooms are very nice and spacious. There were a lot of people my age who were actively doing things all over the community as opposed to sitting and watching the world go by. It looked to me that they had a lot of activities for people and I liked all of that. The thing that I didn't like, and this was a purely subjective judgement, was it seemed claustrophobic. Some of the other ones seemed to have more open spaces. I was thinking that I would want to get out of there right away to go do something because it seemed claustrophobic to me.

Assisted living at Atrium Village in Owings Mills fails to meet even the minimum standards of care. Our family member has been a resident for the past 6 months and we are moving him to another facility. He has been neglected, allowed to develop painful rashes from failure to change his incontinence pads, failed to ensure that he got his meals and on one occasion did not have his prescribed, lifesaving medication on hand when he needed it, resulting in an unnecessary trip to the hospital. The list of negligence is too long to mention here, but if you love your family member, do not place them at Atrium Village.
