I visited this facility

We toured some brand-new remodeled rooms at Town Village and they were very nice. The other rooms needed to be remodeled though. I did not like that the laundry was not in the room, it was in the hallway, and it was a very large facility with elevators. The people were very informative, very friendly, very cordial, and very accommodating. They were in the process of remodeling and what they had done looked very nice. The facility seemed like it was friendly. We just didn't get a chance to talk to any of the residents. The size of the rooms was rather small.

The facility in general is good; however there are several of the amenities that are suppose to be included in the rate that are NOT provided on a regular basis or at all. For example, was sold on the fact that the complex was gated and secure; however, the gates are NEVER closed and there have been outside persons inside the building due to the outside doors not being secured. Also, meals in the cafeteria are included in the rate; however, the food served is sub standard and inedible many times. The thought of weekly cleaning service was another selling point, then realized that items began to be missing from the apartment after the cleaning person came and left. It is nice to for our family member to be around people of the same age; however, not sure that the lease will be renewed when the time comes. Unfortune as this could be a GREAT place to enjoy the retirement life.

I like Town Village because of where it is located and the friendliness of the people. The layout is very nice. They showed me assisted living and then the one-bedroom independent living is where I'm gonna live. The food was very nice. They have their little store that volunteers run themselves. They have a media shop, a little garden area, and a painting area. I just like them overall, working with people, and meeting their needs.

I chose Town Village. I loved the floor plan that I chose. It's very open, light, and large. I had lunch there, and the food was excellent. It's a very comfortable and likable place to call home. I would be happy to be there. The staff was very helpful and excited about showing us the place. She knew the answers to all my questions. She was good at her job. They had just remodeled. They had a very lovely dining area.

I went to see Town Village. It was a large facility and somewhat modern. It was very nice. The staff who gave me the tour did a very good job. She was very nice and knowledgeable about the facility. The apartment was very large and adequate. The dining area was very nice. It was medium-sized. Not too large, but not small. I saw the menu and it had good choices. They had a library, arts and crafts, bingo, and they played lots of different games. All the staff that I saw was busy working.

We looked at the Town Village. We saw two rooms, and they were both nice. My brother is in a wheelchair, and it appears handicap accessible, but some of the design is not ideal. I think there would have been some challenges for him to be able to navigate the shower. I also noticed that to be able to go from a wheelchair to the toilet, would have been a little more challenging at that facility versus at the other facility. The common areas were nice. Like the dining rooms and the workout facility, everything was really good. I was very impressed with all those features. They had everything well thought out for the activities of the people living there, so that was a real plus. We went to two areas and one of the areas was like a library where they had books, and then there's another area where we saw residents playing cards or something like that. There was plenty of space and there were different things they could do. It looked like they were engaging the people with their activities. The staff were so welcoming and really appreciative of having us there.

We have toured Town Village. We like the cleanliness, it was fairly updated and the dining room was lovely. Katie, who took us around, was very, very nice. What we didn't like was the size of the 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment. We probably would have said yes to that place if the apartment had been bigger. I like the staff's level of friendliness, not just towards us but for all of the staff and the residents we met. We like that it's gated and very secure. They had a couple of library areas. They offer a plan where if you're cooking and you are not eating in the dining room, you can do that and they will reduce the cost per month. The location is near everything we have. It's near our doctors, a bookstore, family, and our church.

Town Village has some shortcomings. I was familiar with the town village back when. At that time, their corporate which is in Texas, came in here and got the big idea they were going to do a shuffle and make changes. So that had occurred probably two or three months after I had moved in. The management that I made the contract with was very good and very friendly. The place was nice. But when corporate came in, they changed. It became more rigid. It just was not as outgoing and friendly as it was when I first moved here. The food's good. They're supposed to clean my room every other week, but they haven't got that done regularly. To me, that's not a plus. I would rate them a five if they kept the same management and operating team. I don't blame anything but the corporate office coming in and looking at the bottom dollar. You just can't cut things and keep people happy and satisfied. The staff, they're friendly and all of that. Some things you get done, if you have a problem with your heat, or air is not functioning properly they're very prompt in getting that done or stuff like that. But when it came to doing the cleaning and changing your linens, in my case, they have been very bad on that. They keep telling me they just can't get help, but that doesn't help me; I still pay the same fee. There is one manager that I will give a five to, but his hands are tied by corporate in Fort Worth, Dallas. That's where the problem lies. That's where the folks ought to have a downgrading. They need to know what they're doing to the facility. The managers here have to go by that, or they won't have a job too. As far as the waitress, and the clerk general, I'd give them five. The food and all the waitresses and their cooks are all very good. The chefs, have it all, and they do a very good job. It's just that the management is carrying out orders from the corporate office, and that's what's hurting them. It's an old building, but it's maintained and it's nice. It all goes back in time, I'll put it that way. But it's a very large facility, with lots and lots of rooms. It's still nice, it just needs more help. Their biggest problem is in fulfilling what they're supposed to do under the contract. They're not doing the cleaning like they're supposed to have done, and changing my linens, and all of that. That they just can't get help, that is not my problem, that's their problem, and they should get it. They have a lot of activities, from bingo to playing cards, to activities for women, like sewing and doing stuff. They have all kinds of things to do. Of course, they have men's get-together and that sort of stuff as well. There are enough activities. If somebody wants to participate, there's no problem. They also have somebody come in at least once a month from outside and give performances, either musical or various types. It's a variety of things, they had good performers here. It's very good value for the money for this much facility that I had. For families that can afford a higher level, it's very good for the money. They just need a few things. They don't have to clean up, I'll put it that way. But price-wise, it's very competitive for what they provide in today's world. In their assisted living facility, I've never made a tour through it. The facility joins the dining area, so if they're mobile and all that, they can walk in and eat with the independent living folks. They have their own dining area, but mobile people, like to get out and do something different and they have that option.

I visited the assisted living and independent living of Town Village in Oklahoma City. The physical appearance of it was very well done. It's very nice and clean, and very appealing to the eye. The staff was very welcoming and professional. They're very encouraging and helpful. They even made some recommendations for me. It was a Saturday when I visited so it was relaxed. I didn't see a whole lot of activities. The staff we talked to was very understanding that we're on a very tight budget. She was encouraging and gave recommendations. What I experienced was very good.

I did a tour of Town Village. It was a nice place, but the main areas felt more formal; like they're trying to overly impress you with that. I didn't like that the hallways, they were so narrow. I know it seems like a minor thing, but if somebody is going down the hall with a motorized cart, which is always a good possibility, it's tight going by two people. I'm not sure how that even works, so I wasn't excited about that. They were more limiting with their time. They said, "Oh, we'll bring them food if he wants it." To me, that says when he gets in here, it's probably not going to be the same. I just don't trust that you understand. It's a nice facility, there are just a few little details that worked out better for the other. One thing I did like, they had a larger outdoor area, which was nice. The other thing, the dining area is kind of formal, so it didn't feel as friendly and comfortable. It is a nice facility, but the one big problem I did have was those narrow hallways.

I like Town Village. It is very welcoming and seems like everybody cares. People have been there for a good amount of time and seem like they're getting the care that they need. The staff is very friendly and very eager to help too. My mom's room is small, but it's very convenient. It's close to the kitchen and the dining room. It is perfect for her. The food is very good, it's like dining in a restaurant and it's very healthy. They have daily exercise, church on Sundays, and a shuttle to take them wherever they need to go.

We visited the Town Village. It's an independent living and it's very nice. This is our choice of all the places we looked at. When my sister gets her financial things arranged, that's probably where she will go. I did not like having to go on the 3rd floor of some apartments and sometimes having to go from one elevator to another to get there. The rooms were very good. Some are better than others. The more you want to pay, the larger the apartment you get. Overall, I guess it's okay. They have an exercise room and all the basic things that all the places have. The location is also good. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The menu looked good. The place was very pretty, very clean, warm and everyone was friendly. It just seemed to be a nice place.

Town Village was the one that my father liked the most. It was very clean. It was a very nice place and secure. The staff was very, very informative and helpful and kind. And it felt very welcoming there. I know that they have three meals a day, seven days a week, and then they do laundry service for your sheets and your towels once a week. They have a little convenience store inside the facility. They have a nice outdoor sitting area. They have a bunch of events that they do throughout the month and they have services to take you to doctor's appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, stuff like that, so it's very nice. They also have a physical therapist there on staff. So that helps out with anybody who needs help with any kind of physical therapy needs. They had their apartments, they had a few different floor plans and they were pretty spacious, they were nice. I did like the fact that they had the meals that they offer, but if you didn't want that, they had a whole list of different things that you could order and have made if you didn't like what was offered for that day.

I like the location of Town Village and the different options that they have available in the community. It was a nice setup and the people that I met seemed very kind and very caring. Overall, for the most part, it's a really good option. They had a concierge service, a beauty shop, a gym, and a town hall for meetings, church services, and places to do activities. They have a staff that comes in and makes sure that the residents get their physical therapy and take them to their doctor's appointments. They have three meals a day, plus the ability to go pick up what you would like to eat and take it back to your room if you don't want to eat in the dining hall. Then they had different activities and they were gearing up for one while I was there. It was some kind of a 1930s or 1940s themed event where they had a big band come in to play and there was going to be dancing, food, and drinks. It was just a lot of nice things. The staff I came across was very kind and very helpful. I met a few of the residents and they were nice too. My biggest drawbacks were the cost and the room, because they had one room that would have worked wonderfully for my mom and stepdad, but it was a one-bedroom studio. I felt like I was claustrophobic, so I can't imagine putting two elderly people in it. So, the room just wasn't going to work as far as the size goes. Then to find out that it was going to be $4500 a month for that little 493 square foot room, it's going to be expensive.

Town Village is very, very pleasant and certainly something that I would consider. It was very nice, the accommodations were very good, and the staff was very helpful. They were out of their rooms and coming down to the lunchroom. The staff was very helpful, answered all questions, and didn't try to hide anything at all. I got to speak to the residents there, it was very open. The facade looks clean and in place. People knew when to go to the dining room, they were engaged. The hallways were clean and did not have an odor.

We toured Town Village last June. It was a very good tour, it was informative, and we liked it. They didn't have the size that we needed on the first floor. The staff is excellent. It had a lot of amenities on the second floor, but my mother did not want to go on the second floor. It was laid out very well. The food was good. They have on-site and off-site activities, exercise, entertainment, movies, and lots of things. I liked the residents.

I was able to tour Town Village, and it was really nice. I liked it a lot. I liked the way it was designed, and they had breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was a beautiful property, and the landscape and grounds were nice. Everything was nice. The inside was nice too. It was like an extravagant hotel. The staff was outstanding. The manager and the assistant manager were outstanding as well. They were very courteous, respectful, and attentive to the need of the patrons. I would love for my uncle to stay at this property. It's my number one property for him to stay at from all that I have looked at. The only thing is that the rent was above what he could afford. It was too expensive, but everything was very clean and outstanding. I was told they had a chef that prepares two different meals for the patrons. They had a pool table, cards, and dominoes for them to play. I did not go through the grounds, but I was told they had different activities for the patrons; but because of Covid, they are kind of shutdown right now (which I understand). They are practicing social distancing which I liked.

My grandmother moved into Town Village, and we've been really impressed with the facility and the activities. We were very pleased with my grandmother's transition, and we are pleased with everything we've seen and been a part of. I like the size of the apartment; it's really large, and she was able to bring some of her things. She brought her furniture in, and it makes it look like a home. It really feels like grandma's house instead of a nursing home. It made her transition much better, so I think that's what we like the most. We like the facility, the dining hall, and the extra activities. She's already been to a Bible study and the coloring class. Those were things we weren't sure she would do, but she's embraced them. She has called us and told us what activities she was going to. She has a lot to look forward to and a lot to do. We are really excited for her. My grandmother is a picky eater, but she is happy with the food. They have made the process pretty simple for us, and we appreciate that. My grandmother’s situation was put on us unexpectedly, but they helped us with the transition.

We went to Town Village, and we just like it. I really liked the director. She was awesome, very welcoming, and I liked the way that they have a community. They didn't have much activity with the assisted living part, but in the independent part, there were a lot of people coming out, which was cool. I think I would have seen that eventually in assisted living. There were a few different choices for apartments. They were small, but there were some that were better than others with regard to layouts, more counter space, more cabinets, and bathroom size. I think I saw about four different layouts to choose from, and different prices. They had a library, but it was more for independent living, and there was a communal eating facility for later on. The thing that I liked more is that people stayed there. The food supervisor had been there like thirteen years, and the people who take care of the rooms and things, they had been there for a while. That shows that the place must be doing something right.

I was very impressed with the staff at Town Village. They were very friendly, and very professional. The lady was very welcoming and very patient with us, explained everything very well, and talked us through it. The rooms were very nice. The whole facility was very, very nice; we were very impressed with it. The rooms were pretty large. My mother seemed very happy. She thought there was more than enough room than what she needed. They had windows and bathrooms, and the layout was very good. They had lots of safety bars. They also said if we needed to change anything, just let them know, and they will work with us. They had kitchenettes, and closet space. The layout of the room seemed to flow well, and the doors were wide enough. The food was delicious; I cannot believe how good it was. It just showed that they really put some time and care to their meal planning. It was almost like a restaurant food, but it wasn't. The spices were perfect. It was barbecued chicken thigh and drumstick, baked beans, and mashed potatoes. My mother was impressed. Some of the residents were just lounging around and were very friendly, looked happy, and had been there for a number of years. The staff knew everybody by name. All around, we were very impressed. They kept it up, and it was clean.

The one-bedroom apartments are roomy and full of natural light. The closet is big and has lots of areas to hang clothes. It is nice to choose your own heat/air temperature. The apartment doesn't let in a lot of sound. The staff is EXCELLENT! Very friendly and always ready to listen and help. They make it fun. There is a great library and several book cases on every floor which I use all the time.

I liked Town Village very much. I think it's a wonderful place and I would recommend it to anyone who's looking. The young lady who helped me during the tour was just top notch. She made a mistake during our time there, but everybody makes mistakes. She had an application sent in to the owners for me and I had not signed anything when she did it, but they went ahead and charged my bank card. I had that to deal with that later, but it all worked out and they sent me a check. Regardless, she was very professional in showing me the place and every other aspect. I don't like the idea of having no outdoor exit or entry way, especially if there's a fire and people have to exit out into the hallway; I don't like that. The staff members that I ran into there were gentlemen and they were courteous. I think they have a good staff. The room that was vacant was very close to the restaurant area where they serve their food, and it was going to have to be repainted. Overall, it's a very liveable and nice place for anyone who is looking for that type of community.

Be aware that what you see and what you are told about Town Village is not what you get. The internet has been down in the business room/library on the second floor for several weeks. The printer/scanner is not hooked up. Many of the washers in the laundry rooms do not work. Look for all the signs of leaks on the ceiling in the dining room. The fountain in back was not operational in the three months I lived there. The meals are fairly good, but get tiresome when the menus are repeated week after week. You'd best be fond of chicken. A tablemate who has a gluten intolerance asked repeatedly for food she could eat and finally took to eating in her room most of the time. The serving staff barely has time to be trained before they are either fired or quit. Expect long waits for food, especially on weekends, when staff neither calls nor shows up. The dining room is frequently out of popular food items, such as vanilla ice cream, cottage cheese and orange sherbet. A new dining room director was recently hired, so hopefully some of these deficits will improve. Any promises made by the executive director or marketing director either record or get in writing. The AL nursing director is also much better at promises than delivery. Discounting most of the administration, most of the staff is competent and helpful. If you want a true account, talk to a resident one-on-one. You will find it difficult, if not impossible, to shake your tour guide in order to do this, but if you strike up a conversation with two or three residents you will learn what really goes on behind all the glitter and hype. I hope you find this review helpful. I have tried to be both fair and honest. If you want more information, I have no problem with you contacting me via email.

My brother may end up staying at Town Village. The atmosphere was really nice, it's super clean, and the rooms were nice and a good size. It was a quiet place. They have an activity room with puzzles, they have a van that takes people to Walmart, Target, and an ice cream place, and they have a movie room. They showed me both independent living and assisted living. My brother talked to the staff, and he was very pleased.

I'm moving into Town Village. The staff I met was very friendly and helpful. The meal I ate was OK, but they had a wide selection. You have a choice of sandwiches or a hot meal, and you can take it to your room. You don't have to eat in the dining room, although the dining room is nicely laid out, almost formal looking, and very appetizing. Some residents were very helpful and showed me different things available to do. The apartment that I'm going to get is a one-bedroom with a study, two big walk-in closets, a nice size bathroom, and a full kitchen. I think I'll be happy with it. You can play cards with different residents, there's a group of ladies that color, and you can go on outings to different places like the grocery store and restaurants.

I did not enjoy Town Village at all. The rooms were small and the colors were not pretty. It didn't look like a place that you'd like to live. The servers in the dining room were not very interested in taking care of you if you needed something. They were too busy trying to clean up the other side of the dining room. If you asked for anything extra like some water, you would get it ten minutes later with no smile. I was not impressed with the service at all in the dining area. The people I met were nice, but they didn't seem to have the services that would make living there enjoyable. I was disappointed. I was able to find other places for the same prices that have larger facilities and just a brighter feel about the place. They have a room that's used for some activities. It's just not as satisfactory as a regular assisted living facility. I know two people that were there that left to go into other assisted living places and they were much more satisfied with the other locations. The staff was nice. There was nothing negative about their attitude, but there's nothing special about it at all. I've had several meals there and they were very mediocre. It's three floors and their elevators were OK.

I was a resident of Town Village for a year, and I enjoyed my time there. I was on the third floor, which was really quite a walk for me and kind of difficult. Other than that, the facility was well maintained and the residents were relatively happy, but the food wasn't that great. They had monthly activities like sing-alongs and an exercise program. Their exercise room was well equipped but no one was there to tell me how to use the equipment. They had movie nights, bingo, and games, which I'm not interested in. They had a craft program, where people come in and did crafts. There were several things that I was interested in as far as activities, like art and music, but there wasn't enough participation from the residents. The facility was beginning to show its age, but it's not really that old.

I was very disappointed with this place. My parents lived here for a year. High turnover amongst the wait staff. I visited every day and noticed a consistent decline in Quality of meals towards the end of the month. Twice the entree was half cooked beans and rice. Not worth the money. My experience was more than enough for me to feel as if they were looking for a reason to either give less for what is paid or just flat out look ng for more money. I felt the whole situation was rather predatory in regards to focus on giving each resident what they paid for. Dealing with the decision to move into one of these facilities come woth rervations, unfortunately this was not a good fit for my group.

The first thing that we all thought as soon as we walked through the door in Town Village was that it has a nursing home feel to it. They didn't have any place they could show me because they were all full. The staff member that assisted us seemed busy and seemed like she needed to go. The dining area looked like a cafeteria. The residents were playing Bingo when I was there. They didn't show us the amenities since I wouldn't have a place to stay anyway. I'm not trying to run the place down, but it needs to be updated, maybe with new paint or new carpeting. There were parts of the carpet that could have caused people to trip.

I liked Town Village very much. Valerie was very helpful. The community seemed small and they don't have a lot of residents, which I like. They seem to be very attentive. All the residents and staff had big smiles on their faces, which is always a good sign. The food was great and home-cooked.

Town Village was fine. We encountered some problems with some of the people there, but the initial experience was excellent. I think it was primarily because they determined that my mother was not a good fit for their community, but I would recommend them to anybody because I was very impressed with them. The rooms were very good-sized. Closet space was more than adequate. Accessibility was good. We had lunch there; the food was good. They co-mingle assisted living with independent-living when reasonable and possible. It looked like a very nice place to live.

Town Village’s apartments doesn’t have balconies or patios. They didn’t have any private outsides, but they have plenty of group outsides. That was the big difference. It’s a nice community, but I didn’t think they have much exercises. The grounds were nice; it’s a very nice wooded area and plenty of places to walk.

Town Village was OK but it just seemed not as open. Everything was located on the second floor. It just didn’t’ feel homey but it was clean and nice.

I went to Town Village. I like the apartment that they showed me. However, this apartment was a long way away from the elevator, and it was on the third floor. I knew my mother would not like that. Nevertheless, there was a lot I like about this community. I very much like the lady who showed me around. The apartments were very nice. They were bright. I thought the main rear lobby area was very open. My mother uses a walker, but I didn’t notice a lot of people using walkers the day I was there. I didn’t want my mother to feel self-conscious if she is the only one using the walker and nobody else was.

After looking at several places, I chose Town Village. The food is very good, with many choices. The monthly parties make it easy to make new friends. We also have lots of other activities. There are nine guest rooms available when you have visitors. I made the right choice!

On the whole, I feel everything is fine. I would just like to see a bit more repairs and things done. Food is good. Employees are very nice and accommodating. Windows need to be washed and draperies restored to the dining room for coziness and sound.

We visited Town Village. Everything was set up very nice. The drawback is that they only have seven studio apartments, and they were full. The studio apartment was small, but the way it was set up, it was doable. The staff was very nice. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The lady that showed us around didn't eat with us, but she was available. She visited with us after we ate and gave us a little more information. She even gave my cousin a pumpkin bread, which really impressed her that they would give her something like that. They had exercise room with exercise equipment and an activity room with a big-screen TV. They had something going on the night that we visited. The food was excellent. The dining area was very nice. They sat us down at a table with another lady who had just moved in, and she was very friendly.

Town Village was a very nice facility. It's very new and very well-maintained. The residents all were happy, and they were preparing to go on some outing when I was there. There was a walking group gathering in the entryway. The apartments were really nice. They had nice big closets and lots of space. They were well-organized, not huge, but very well laid out. The dining room was a great big area and they had stairs that come up from it, and it looked out over a really nice big fountain. It's in a newer area, so it doesn't have may trees, but it was very nicely done, with all the windows where the people could look out easily.

I love my one-bedroom apartment at Town Village. It’s on the 3td floor and I see the sun set everyday! Food is good. We have lots of parties and entertainment. We have bus service for stores, grocery and malls. We also have trips almost every week to different cafes and restaurants.

I have resided at Town Village for the previous 4 years. The only thing I do not like is my own problem of not having my personal transportation. The services here are above average. The only problem is food. It seems there’s plenty and a good chef but not always what you wanted.

They are really nice at Town Village. They let us come late in the evening to see my mom and her apartment. They are very accommodating. They have a restaurant style cafeteria. If they do not want something in the menu, they can order something different. It is a really nice place. They have bingo nights, movie nights, and transportation to shopping and doctor visits. The security is fine.

We have our mom in Town Village. The food is good. Everybody says it's really good, and they have a really good chef. The place is clean and neat. It smells good. Everybody is very friendly. The staff seems genuine and taking care of the people there. My mom's room is really small, but it seems to meets her needs. I think the kitchen for her may be a little big. I'd rather have more room space than kitchen space, but they are nice. They have all things. They work on puzzles. They have a little mini-store. They have a book club and a walker's club. They have people come in and speak to them. They have movies on Saturday nights and bingo. They all have a key that they have to wear on them.

We just got to tour Town Village, and we looked over the building and the rooms. They showed us the layout of the facility and also the dining room. They looked really nice and friendly. Their doors were all decorated, so it looked like the people were happy. They didn't smell like urine.

We chose Town Village for my mom. She has a one-bedroom apartment with a complete kitchen. I’ve eaten there twice, and I think the food is good. They have heart healthy items on the menu. They have a walking club, bingo, once a month they have a festive night, and they have exercises. They have lecturers who come in, a painting class, handwork, and a lot of other things.
