The people at The Parkview Memphis are nice, but the rooms are very small. They don't have any rooms with central air. I think they're all window units. It's a really old building. Mostly, I just saw that there wasn't any outside grass; it's all just a parking lot. There's nowhere to be outside. The person who gave the tour was very nice. I just don't think it's in the best location.

I went to The Parkview Memphis. They offer some assisted living as far as meals and housekeeping, but not as far as health and medication. The tour was very good. The place was very clean. It was spotless. It's an old historic building, so it has a lot of historic decors. I happened to go during mealtime and the meals are changed daily. You can select what you want off the menu and its restaurant-style, so whatever you tell your waiter that you want, the cook will prepare it for you. The cafeteria area was very nice and the lobby area was fantastic. It was beautiful. The floors in the lobby and everything were beautiful. The outside was very clean. There's assigned parking. Each person has their own parking space. The security was great. The area where you walk your dog and where you can go outside and sit down was nice. Once you get upstairs to where the rooms are, you can tell it's kind of dated. It hasn't been updated, but it's still very clean. The actual apartments were dated, but very clean. You can tell they were painted over more than once. The stove and the refrigerator were really small. The studio that I saw was not up to par, but the two-bedroom looked good and the view from all of the rooms was great. They provide transportation to and from the doctor and to and from the grocery store, and they have a nondenominational church service on Sundays. They have a rec room, a workout area and a big-screen television where you can watch movies as well.

I visited The Parkview Memphis. Their monthly fee was $1,800 a month. It included some amenities but it did not include the utilities which I felt it should. It's an older building. I just thought for the money, it was not worth it for me. What I liked is that there was a sense of community there. I liked that the first floor common area where everyone could meet was very clean, fun, and festive. The lunch facility was very nice. From what I understood, the food was very good. The biggest drawback for me was the fact that it is an older building. It was well kept though, and it was clean, but there was not enough amenities for the cost. They offered two meals, a landline phone, drives to take you to your doctors' appointments and to the grocery store, and they have activities throughout the month. When I was looking they were having a Christmas party. It looked like they have parties around the holidays. They have a bingo night. They have either breakfast and lunch, or lunch and dinner. I saw what was being served and what was on the menu, and I asked some people that were there, and they were like, "The food is really good," and it smelled really good, too.

I moved into The Parkview Memphis two weeks ago. I liked the spaciousness of the apartment. It's close to a section of town that's being revitalized/rehabilitated. It has a lot of interesting little shops, entertainment, and fine arts. It's right next to the art museum and the zoo, so that's nice. The food is good. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have some activities, but I like to see a bit more. I have a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen. They have a library, and they have a workout room. They have outdoor area and a nice walking trail. Between here and the art museum, there are several walking trails because it's a very short distance, so that's nice.

I love The Parkview Memphis for me. My brother didn't like it, but I like it for me. If I have thought about doing that later on, I would pick that. I like the atmosphere of it. It was really nice and cozy. It didn't seem like a senior citizen living place. I liked the room. I like the activity that they have planned for the residents, and I like the location because it's in the center of the city and close to activities that I frequent. It's an older building, but I like the character of it. The staff members were good. They were nice. I didn't try the food, but I like the way they had the dining room set up. It's kind of pricey. They gave me a calendar of the events that they have going on that the residents could pick and choose from. They also have enclosed parking that if you have your own vehicle, you could park there safely and not worry about your vehicle.

We chose The Parkview for Mom because of the location. It's really good. The staff members seem caring and lovely. Her room is amazing. It's a 1,500 square foot, two-bedroom, corner unit. They've got activities every day. It's independent living, but we have a caregiver coming every day to help her. She has three meals a day, and it's great.

The Parkview was gonna be perfect. All the rooms have security features if they come out the door at night. However, they have a little area where they can sit outside, and if they try to keep a person from walking off and the person don't want to, they said they can't stop them. My brother has memory care issues, and if you're not able to stop a person that has early dementia from leaving the premises, that's not safe enough. The community was very good. I loved the person who took us on the tour. She thoroughly explained everything to me, like the meals. Any question I asked her she was able to give me an answer. That was the ideal place for me. However, they can't stop them if they want to walk out the door. The rooms were very good. I loved the room setup. They said they can take out the appliances like the stove if they don't need to use it. I was very satisfied with everything. They have activities like games, musicals, and last year when I visited they had a movie night. The food was very good. The menu would've been great for my brother. I was very satisfied with the staff. It was really clean.

The Parkview was bright, clean, nice, and well-appointed. It looks more like a lobby of a very nice hotel. The people are very friendly. I had no problems with it at all. It's just not the structure that my brother was looking for. They have lovely dining, which was restaurant dining, and the rooms were very big. They've also have two floors of asissted living in the building. It looks like an old bulding that was remodeled, but some of the hallways are very, very long. So even if you're in independent, it's a very long walk to get to the dining room. I think it's problematic. The staff is very nice, capable, and very professional. There's not a lot of parking lot or a lot of pretty greenery. It looks like a high-rise apartment building.

Overall, The Parkview was nice, organized, and well-kept. The rooms were OK. They have a lot of things to offer. We were fairly pleased. The staff member who gave me the tour was nice. Anything that I had concerns about she was able to answer. They play card games and go on field trips.

The Parkview's outside and common areas are kept very well, but the apartments are bad. It’s a very old facility and we saw four different apartments in there which were horrible. We met the receptionist and director and they were very nice. There was just something lacking there, like commitment and support, with whoever owns the facility. It was just a definite no after we saw the apartments. They need to renovate and update their living quarters because they're terrible.

I moved into Parkview. It’s nice, there's a nice building on the inside, and the staff is pretty nice. The atmosphere is nice. I’m the youngest one here, I’m trying to get used to that, but other than that, I like it. The food is decent, I liked the apartment, and they take care of them. They have a nice little park outside with statues, trees, and a concrete walking path around it. They allow pets. They need to improve on the quality of the food.

I don't like The Parkview as much as the other place we visited, but my ex-husband likes it, so we chose this community. Their apartments seem to be converted hotel rooms and were really very small. Some of them have kitchens, but they only offer two meals a day. The unit my ex-husband is in has a very tiny kitchen with a refrigerator, but no sink. There's enough room to put in a bed, a chest, and a small table. I thought there was a slight odor when I walked in, but overall, it was pretty clean; it's probably because it's an older building. The staff members that we met were very nice and polite. They have a laundry room on every other floor. I wasn't that impressed with the place, but it's a little less expensive, so it meets his needs.

The Parkview offers two meals a day and maid service once a week. The staff members so far have been great. I'm in a studio deluxe. It's three rooms with a full kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom, and a living room. It's beautiful. It's fabulous. It's right next to a huge park in the middle of the city, that's why they call it the Parkview. It's very affordable.

The Parkview was very nice. It's like a 1920s hotel. It's been converted, and there is very nice wood in the moldings. All the people we talked to, the residents we talked to there seemed very happy. The food was very good. The front desk was very nice. The lady who gave us the tour and showed us around was very helpful.

My sister currently lives in Parkview Memphis, which is fine. It was a hotel many years ago, and they turned it into a really classy senior residence. There’s a grand piano in the lobby, so they do music all the time, plus a beautiful dining room with a chef. I am not super happy about the fact that they have turned over their assisted services to another agency. The people are really nice. The rooms have a variety of different sizes and shapes. My sister formerly lived in a pretty two-bedroom, but she downsized to a one-bedroom that's still very spacious and has a high ceiling. The first time she ever went to visit, she fell in love.

The Parkview was very nice. It was wonderful. The staffing was nice. This place was awesome, and if I had to go somewhere, this is where I would like to go. It was clean. They're doing some remodeling, and in their apartments, they have nice closet space. They also invited me down to the cafeteria, which was set up nice like a restaurant. It was nice and clean. It was good.

My Mom lives here. I've visited several Senior Assisted Living Communities and by far, it's the best. The apts. are very spacious. It is living royally as grow old gracefully. The Dining room experience alone is enough to "woo you!" The meals are delicious. There are many, many activities and the staff interacts attentively with the residents! Transportation is provided for grocery shopping and local medical appointments. I rate The Parkview 10+ in every area!

I was not impressed with The Parkview Memphis. It was dirty, depressing, and old and didn't have many activities available. The staff did not seem to care whether we stay in there or not. The rooms were fine. I would suggest that they clean the place up. It’s a beautiful old hotel that we used to go there when we were young that they converted. Now, it’s just dirty.

I've been to The Parkview, and it was nice. I would rate the rooms a 7, and the dining area a 10. I looked at the menu, and it was real exquisite. What they need to do is provide some kind of transportation. There's a parking-lot, and you can have your own vehicle. For those people who don't drive, they probably needed to have a bus or a van. It's in a central location in Memphis. It was an old hotel that they changed over to a senior community. It might be out of certain people's price range, and might be a little too pricy for somebody that's on a fixed level income.

The visit at Parkview went well; it was a nice community. The rooms were a nice size for a single person. The staff was nice and you saw them interacting with the residents. The only drawback I didn’t like about it was that it had a smell on one of the floors which really stood out but everything else was fine. They said they were going to get it corrected right away.

The Parkview was an old hotel, but it's elegant, and they said they're willing to refurbish the place. The one that showed us around was very personable and very welcoming. She gave us all the information we asked for. When we arrived, there was a gentleman that was playing the piano in the sitting room and several people were listening to him. They had something available to the patrons to exercise or move around. A lot of the people had cars in that area. It's near the VA hospital who are treating my husband, and that would make it convenient for me, and they do have almost daily trips going there. It was clean, and the rooms were good-sized. Since it's an old hotel, the closets were not big walk-in closets. The bathrooms were smaller, but they said they would refurbish them for somebody that can't move.

My dad is living in The Parkview now, and we liked everything about it. The caretakers are very nice. The neighborhood and the actual facilities are all good. They have a social director. Anytime he can get five or six people to sign up for something, he will do an activity. They have all sorts of classes that are constantly changing, but there are lots of options. They also provide transportation. They do three meals a day except on Sunday, when they do brunch until 3:00. It's an excellent place.

The experience we had at The Parkview Memphis was very good. Everything was very clean and orderly. The dining room was excellent; they had good quality food there. Whatever we asked, the staff usually jumped right to it and tried to take care of it. They go up and beyond what I think they should be doing, but they had done well. I liked their services; their commitment to helping the residents there was real good.

We looked at about 10 or 15 places, and we chose The Parkview Memphis. We get three meals a day, and the staff is very friendly. We have a three-bedroom two-bath room. They have scrabble, puzzles, pool table, card games, and outings. They take you to different places. The Parkview Memphis has a friendly atmosphere, and it is very secure. The doors are locked, and you have to have an entrance the way to get into it.
