I didn't care for Parkside of Livonia. The staff wasn't really helpful. The apartments were nice (I only looked at the one bedroom because that's all I needed). They have activities for the month. They give you a schedule calendar to show you what they have for the month and you can choose what you'd like to do. They have a courtyard, game rooms, and movie rooms. It was laid out and set up nicely. They accept pets, but they had a problem with my dog.

Our tour of Parkside of Livonia was wonderful. The place was beautiful and clean. It was easy to access from the parking lot. Mom doesn't like high rises, so it was nice that it was only three stories. The staff member who assisted us was a lovely gentleman. He was very patient, polite, knowledgeable, and he answered all of our questions.

I toured Parkside of Livonia. It was more like a hospital environment. It was small, so you couldn't get too much furniture in there at all. Also, the gentleman that we had wasn't very knowledgeable. He was new to the job, so he couldn't answer quite a few questions. He was very pleasant, it's just that he didn't have the information for us. The layout was nice, and it was very clean.

I went to visit Parkside of Livonia and looked at their facilities. It's a nice facility, but I prefer a single home instead of an apartment. The ambiance was nice, they have a baby grand piano in the foyer. The rooms were also nice, I got a chance to see the 1-bedroom. It's very small and quaint, and you have to mentally get prepared for that. The guy who gave the tour was phenomenal, he showed me the storage space and the theater room. They have a caterer on staff, so if you didn't want to cook they can bring your meal in. There's a park in the back, if you want to go for a walk there's a trail you can walk. What I didn't like was the patio was too small. You get a patio when you're on the first floor, and when you go up they have balconies. The balconies look nice. The kitchen was very nice in the rooms. They have an events room you can rent, they have Bible studies, and they have a schedule monthly of things to do. They also have more than one seating where you can go and play cards or something. Everything there was clean.

Parkside of Livonia was very nice. The management team was very pleasant. They had two buildings, and I went into the one where the management office was. It was very clean and very bright. Overall, it was a place that I think that we probably could have lived at. It's just that the apartment was too small. The staff was very informative and answered all my questions. The rooms were very nice. The one that they have already set up with furniture and everything was nice, but it was a one-bedroom. We were looking for a two-bedroom, but we knew that it was going to be too small even, because my husband would be in a power chair. We would have needed to update the handlebars in the bathroom. The dining area was nice, very bright, and clean. There were a couple of residents there just sitting. The second floor had rooms for socialization. They had the big TV, and they had chairs where people could congregate and socialize, and it was very nice. Everybody seemed to be really friendly. The staff during the tour was great and very welcoming. He did follow-up call to find out what my thoughts were.

Everything about Parkside of Livonia was absolutely beautiful. The only thing was they have tubs in their apartments, and my grandma cannot step over into a tub to take a shower. The gentleman we talked to was absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable. It was very clean. The whole place was beautiful. The rooms were very pretty and very nice. They were just the right size for what my grandma needed. We saw the menu, and it was not something that my grandmother liked. On top of that, it was a little pricy. It would have been something that she wouldn't have done anyway because she still loves to cook. There was a Bible study, church service, bingo, and trips, and they do all sorts of stuff. There were a lot of really good things at Parkside. The atmosphere was nice. It was a very nice place to live. There was enough storage and enough closet space.

I chose Parkside of Livonia for myself because the price was decent. It is within my budget, and the apartments are nice and modern. They have amenities that are OK. You are not going to be charged extra for things. The staff told me the facts and showed me the way. They are very understanding and very polite. They have pretty good customer service. They have a small fitness room and a lounge. There is a very nice area where you can go downstairs to sit and talk with people, if that's what you wish to do. They have transportation. You just have to make sure you sign up for it. The only thing I didn't like was that you don't have your own appliances in your room. There's no dishwasher. I was hoping to find one with my own own washer and dryer, so I didn't have to share with people, but they didn't have that. They have a large laundry room that's open 24 hours.

I had a wonderful time at Parkside of Livonia. The young lady who showed me around was very pleasant and I liked that the ambiance of the grounds was very peaceful. The atmosphere, the decor, and everything was up to my standards. I liked it. They have a patio or either a balcony, too.

Parkside of Livonia was very nice. I was very impressed with that place. It was very clean. The rooms were all nice-sized. They had decent kitchens. The gentleman that helped us with the tour was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. They provide activities. They have a small workout room and a gathering area where they play games. There's a nice walkable area outside. Most of the units have a balcony or a patio. They also have laundry facilities there and the machines are all brand new. They don't provide food there.

My mother got very close to getting to Parkside of Livonia. When she went to fill out the application and take in her deposit, that's when they informed her that you have to be making two times the monthly rent and she doesn't. She liked it because it's more independent living. It fit her and her lifestyle. Even though she's 78, she's very active and she's still working. She liked the atmosphere and the cleanliness. She liked the group meetings and things that they had. It's more of a hotel setting. They didn't talk to her about having her room cleaned and people coming out, and she likes that because she wants to be on her own. She doesn't need the services that a lot of the other facilities were offering. They had a church setting where she could do Bible study and things like that. They have a church service that comes down in the main lobby, and she would have an option to do that if she didn't want to go out on a Sunday. They had a salon that was right there. The other thing she liked is they had a storage facility for every tenant there. You supply your own lock and she likes that because she's also downsizing and there are still some things that she wanted to bring with her. You have to make your own meals.

We chose the Parkside of Livonia for my friend because of its proximity to his previous home. It was reasonable, and it was nice and clean. It was a nice area, and he liked it. It's independent living. I've only met the staff once, but they seem to be cordial and genuine. I have not tasted any food. I think he has to make his own meals there. They have a workout room, crafts room, and a movie room (I think). I don't know if he's taken advantage of any of it, but they seem to cater to make sure you have something to do all the time. The workout room was pretty adequate. They also have a salon for haircuts and pedicures by appointment.

Parkside of Livonia seems to be quite a decent place. It was neat, clean, and organized. I even saw some people living there. The building also was quite OK. But I think it's expensive, so that's one of the main things. They should also be a little bit flexible. The minimum they have is 12 months. Sometimes we are not okay with 12 months because we have a few uncertainties here and there, so we wanted some flexibility like six months. The staff was very nice. The person who gave us the tour was really nice. He gave us all the information that was required. He answered all your questions. I didn't go into much of the activities, but I just got a lot of information. I got a big booklet from them. The rooms were quite nice. They were well-kept and everything looked neat. It looked good.

My mom is staying at Parkside of Livonia independent living. So far, she's loving it and she says everyone is very nice. The staff was great, very nice, helpful, and very responsive when I needed help with some deliveries for her move. We haven't had any issues, and the apartment was extremely nice and clean. Things were new when she moved in so I think that's great. The place didn't have a kitchen so they didn't offer food. Not having a meal plan is probably the only issue for us. We just use one of those meal services so that's cool. For activities, they have game nights, outings, and restaurant visits.

We toured Parkside of Livonia and that one is really nice on the concept that if the person is still able to take care of themselves on a decent capacity, it was set up that way. They have their own apartment where they had their own little kitchenette, they had their own bathroom, and there was a living space and a sleeping quarter, which was really, really nice. It had a couple of storage places inside the unit, a larger closet. And then it had laundry on two of the floors. It was three floors. There was a physical therapy, a salon, and there were a couple of different community areas where if you wanted to do with a party there for your family, you could. I believe that one also offered transportation, I think two or three times a week, to go get groceries and that kind of stuff. The price was a little higher than what my dad was looking for, but with all of the amenities, I did say to him that this was probably a better choice. It was all independent living, and it was more of a very small apartment. I think they had a small gym and a viewing room where they have a larger TV and fun chairs to sit in. It was a pretty new facility, I think about 10 years old, and they maintained it really well, too. It was very, very nice. It smelled clean and it looked clean. I was really impressed with the fact that it was still like an apartment living facility, like he'd still be on his own doing his own thing. He was just going to be in a community that would be able to assist him if something could happen and I was comfortable with that. I live in Dearborn, and it was a little further than where I wanted him to be. But at the same time, I think overall, it offered everything that I thought he really needed. He does not have a vehicle, so he didn't have to rely on anybody, if he needed to go get a haircut. He just gets a little appointment, and he can go get one because it was right there. If he wanted to wash a load of laundry, he could do it, and he didn't have to wait for me to take care of it. I also enjoyed the fact that they offered field trips they could sign up in. Four blocks away was a little Farmer's Market, so if he needed to go get something, he could walk over there without any issues. It wasn't far enough to the point where he had to wait for a ride to go get food. The facility overall was actually very impressive. It was easy access. We were let in, so you know that their citizens are protected to a certain level, which was nice. All their packages come downstairs at their main door. They did not offer meals or anything like that, but they have a dining room area where they can meet at. The staff was very knowledgeable of what was going on. She basically told us that she was part of a company that just took over this facility a few years ago. She knew what she was talking about, knew where we were going, and how to handle the aspects of the financial needs and whatnot. She knew what we were required to get, what we did have and didn't have. They have kept in contact. They've asked us how things were going, and if we liked the facility. It was a little out of our price range, but at the same time, it was something that was worth looking into. I think once a week they come to do light cleaning maintenance. If you needed help with your laundry, they could help you with those things. It was a big thing that you don't have to leave to go take care of those things.

I had an in-person tour of Parkside of Livonia. I liked it all, but they didn't have two bedrooms. They got outings. They had a movie theater, a computer room, a library, and gardens. They've got everything. The staff members are friendly. The place is clean. You do your own cooking there. They got a common room, which is really good. They have a patio where you can have a picnic.

Parkside of Livonia was wonderful, but I was denied. It's kinda pricey, but it's OK. I've been waiting on my deposit now for months; they told me they would get it back to me within two weeks, and I haven't received it yet. My tour was awesome. I met with the manager, Brandon, I think that was his name. It was all awesome from the beginning to the end. The place is beautiful, and the layout of the floor plans are great. It's pricey, but is worth it to me. They have a nice walking park for good exercise so you're not in the house all day, and they have covered parking. It is a very nice property. They have an exercise room, a beauty parlor, they have a store inside, they have a place for the podiatrist to come, and there's a doctor on-site. It's a good place to live, especially if you are unmarried or widowed, and you need all the extra support without having to commute back and forth, so that's really a great convenience. They have a really nice community room, and they have a very nice movie theater there on the property. Whoever thought of the layout and the architect of the property did an excellent job, and the staff there exudes that as well. They're very open, very friendly, very honest, and they're very willing and persistent, because they called me and worked with my schedule to finally get me and process me pretty quickly. Actually, it was within 24 hours that I received the decision, and Brandon even worked over the weekend. I called him on a Friday evening after hours and he instructed me what to do. I did it, and I still had an answer immediately, as he was trying to help me with the need that I had at the time. It is definitely a great place to reside. The food was OK, it was kind of prepackaged. It's not like I had a full course meal, I just had some snacks; it was healthy and they have great choices that are not damaging to the body.

I have moved into Parkside of Livonia. There are two buildings here. They are extremely clean. The people that I'm meeting are absolutely wonderful. They are friendly. The management was wonderful. The manager came over to my apartment and showed me different things, and she helped me because I had some questions. Then the other day, I went and saw the activities director. I talked to her and she went over as to what they do, what she does and everything. Now that they're lifting the restrictions in the state, they're going to start doing more. I was really impressed today because I gave them a list of items that were either wrong in the apartment or I didn't understand in the apartment or having difficulty with, and the maintenance man came in and within no time at all had everything taken care of. They were wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. I lived in an apartment before coming here, and we had maintenance men that were great, but these were better. I'm just finding it very convenient because of where it is. It's back from a very busy area, but it is like down a residential area with these two big buildings. It's amazing. You would not even know that just a block away are all these major stories. So far, it's been a very good experience, and I'm glad so far that I came here. My only problem is my furniture hasn't arrived yet. It's not furnished at all. I have a two-bedroom apartment, one bathroom, and a very small kitchen, but I don't cook much anymore anyway. They're all individual apartments. We are not one place with lots of rooms. What they do is they have a restaurant that you call on Monday, you call in to this restaurant and tell them what you want, and they pick it up in their bus and they bring it to you. During the week from another restaurant, you can sign up on Monday and pay on Monday, and for during the week, if you want any meals and they will pick them up and bring it. I haven't signed up over any of those, but I did Monday and it was good experience. They said now that they can start doing things because of the state opening up more, that in July, they'll go back to what they did before, which was going out to lunch on Monday. They're doing more activities again. I'm looking out at the most beautiful lawn in the world. I have a huge balcony. There's a walking trail all the way around the two buildings. All the people are walking all through the community, not the residents of the apartments, but the houses around here. People are very active going out there. There is a gym in the building. There's a community room on the second floor, which I just found out, Then there's another big room on the first floor. There is a library, a theater, and they have a podiatrist come in to cut toenails. They have a lot of different things. I have two cats. I have to pay extra for them. I had to give a security deposit for them. They do accept pets in here.

Parkside of Livonia is for old people, but they have everything they need. The staff was very informative and very friendly. She didn't have to look at anything up; she knew exactly what she wanted to say. The up-keep is good. Their lobby area was improved. The apartments that we saw were clean. There was no dining area, and it just seemed old to me. We don't feel old yet, so I want something bigger. They have a workout room that has a bike and a treadmill in it. They have a hairdresser that comes in twice a week to cut hair. They have a doctor that comes in. He is a podiatrist, so he comes in to take care of their feet. They have a little room that holds maybe eight or nine chairs and they play movies on a large TV. They have a place where they've got books, and they call it the library. They've got common areas that you can sit in.

I toured Parkside of Livonia yesterday. For the price, there were not many things included; you're responsible for a lot more there out of pocket. You're responsible for your laundry, your electricity, your meals, and your talking about maybe $500 worth of amenities. They have similar amenities like games, different rooms, libraries, and things of that nature, but amenities like Internet, cable, water, electricity, and food are a little bit different -- it's on you. The staff did a very good job. The maintenance was excellent. It seems very peaceful, very diverse, and nice.

I visited Parkside of Livonia Independent Senior Apartments. It was nice, but not quite what I'm looking for. I guess she was the assistant manager there, she took me around. The room was a nice size; the size that I needed, but I don't need to have extra meals and stuff like that. I do that myself. Parkside is more what I would call independent. You do your own thing, just pay to live there, and do your own shopping. They do have a library, and I believe they have a salon. The staff members were nice.

Why is food on the survey? There is none. Only one resturaunt choice and it is expensive. The rooms are drafty, smoke comes from other appartments, no central air, air conditioner doesn't turn off so it runs up the electric bill and doesn't get into bedrooms. Keeps you up all night. Rent raised every year and no justification for it except to get it up to or above initial rent rate. Especially now when we have everything shut down. Handicap people living on 2nd and 3rd floors jeapordising the lives of themselves and others living here if there was a fire. Some cannot even hear. So having a fire alarm that deafens the ones who can hear is not going to make them hear no matter how loud it is. They cannot get down stairs because they cannot use steps.

Parkside of Livonia has a very beautiful layout and it's very appealing. The room that I'm in is nice and has everything that I expected from it. The people are friendly and we have lots of activities. They give you a monthly schedule of what's going on every day. They have a bus to take you to shopping centers like Walmart or Target, they take you to your credit union, they do lunches, and things of that nature on a daily basis. You can pick what you want to do. There's no dining area here, although there are two restaurants that deliver to your room. The staff members are helpful, they're always around, and they're very pleasant. The cost is reasonable.

Parkside is upgrading, so everything was brand new. It had a balcony, and the possibility of a carport, which was good. They had small apartments, though, that were too small for me. It was in a community that was not familiar to me, but I liked the idea that it was more like a neighborhood.
