I visited this facility

I am moving into Savannah Pines. It was a nice facility with a lot of amenities. It was very well-kept, and it had just been renovated. The program coordinator that I met with, Patty, was super good and very friendly. She knew how to present the place that would appeal to me. They had a buffet type of meal, a lifeline for support, a 150-person theater, a lot of activities involving small groups in the facility itself, as well as some outings.

Provider Response

I am/was a resident of this facility

We ended up at Savannah Pines. They have a fantastic staff here. They're friendly. They become like friends to you. They care about you. They make sure you're okay. When you have requests, they're very quick to help you get what you need. They've also been very, very supportive of the kinds of things that the people who live here want. We have a library here that was started by the people who live here. We have a couple of book clubs that they're very supportive of and they get us books from the library so that we can pass them on to the people to read. There are just lots and lots of stuff to do here. If you want to be active and get involved, this is the place to come. The staff are extremely caring, friendly, and warm. We get three meals a day plus snacks here. You go down to the dining room or they will bring it up to you. You can go and get snacks, and you can also go and knock on the door of the kitchen and order la hamburger, hot dog, or chicken thighs whenever. We have a wonderful chef here. There are so many activities. Plus, they have live shows that come in like they have singers. They have people to teach you how to paint and how to do artwork. They show movies every afternoon and every night. There's no reason to be bored. However, if you want to stay in your room and you don't feel like coming out, you're not hassled about that either. The facilities have just been (as they call it) refreshed. They have just redone the hallways of each floor. This is a three-floor establishment, so they've done all three floors and they're just about done. They have done new coverings on the walls, and they have done new carpets. They have refreshed everything. Because they just raised the monthly rent here, we went out and looked for someplace else to live and we couldn't find anything for the money that we were getting here. That's why we stayed here because you get what you pay for.

I visited this facility

We went to Savannah Pines. The people seemed very personable. We liked that the manager and some of the staff were onsite all the time. For the amount of floor space, the apartments seemed very open and spacious. The amenities were excellent. They were also close to things, and they're easy to get to if you wanted to go outside the compound. We really appreciated all of those things. The staff was knowledgeable, and she was fun. She was personable, and she could relate to you. She was happy and very knowledgeable about Savannah Pines. We went down and looked at the food that they had and it all looked delicious, but we did not eat there that day. The staff said they have sit-down dinners; but for the most part, it was buffet and that was the style that they were serving that day. The facility looked very neat, very clean, and open, so that you did not worry about crashing into other people. There were no steps, so you could walk to the apartments very easily. The rooms were fully furnished for appliances, stove, refrigerator, and microwave.

I visited this facility

We went to Savannah Pines on Saturday. That went very well. It was very clean, it was independent living, but there were residents all over, and the residents talked to us. They were having lunch, and everyone seemed like they were enjoying themselves. The food looked good. They have a big list of activities for the month and they have different exercise groups. They have different outings that they do. They go shopping, they've taken their people to the casino. For St. Patrick's Day, they brought in the river dancers, they have a movie theater there, and they have a library. The staff was very knowledgeable and took a lot of time. It looked like a casino hotel. It was very nice, very well kept up. The apartments were of good size, bigger than the other place, but also cost more. They had stainless steel appliances in there, and it was just nice.

Savannah Pines was very nice and had a lot of amenities. They had a buffet restaurant style dining with lots of options. They had a bank, a travel agency, drugstore, theater, a little deli, and a coffee shop. They offer three meals, but they have something going on every day. I'd like to move there myself. The rooms were nice and spacious and had very open ceilings. We didn't taste the food, but it smelled good.

I visited this facility

The people in Savannah Pines were very professional and detail oriented. For example, when I walked in, they had a small sign on the table that welcomed me. I like the all-inclusiveness since everything is included in the price. The place is very clean and very nice, more like resort type living. How they do it is if you start in independent living and need assisted living, you just stay in your apartment and they handle it from there. There's not actually separate wings from what I can ascertain. I told them that I would like to come and show my family and they said just to let them know and we can eat a meal there. They were very gracious. They have a little theater with music every night or something going on there, they have billiards upstairs, a bridge room, a library, and they have a little fireplace in the hallways on different floors. When dining, you can go eat at the buffet or go into their little kitchen and order a sandwich. There's also fine dining where you can actually go for an a la carte type of thing.

I love Savannah Pines for my parents. I like the set-up, I like the rooms, and I like the price. They have a lot of activities available everyday. They do a very good job at it. The food is very good, too.

Provider Response

Savannah Pines was a nice place to live in. I enjoyed living there and felt very comfortable. There were a lot of activities, like pool tournaments, card games, poker nights, and all kinds of things going on. The place was clean and very quiet. Everybody was friendly; I don't remember anybody who didn't have a smile on their face. There was always somebody to help. I could not ask for anything better, and I got what I paid for.

Savannah Pines was very nice, well run, and not that big. It's all rentals, which was one of the reasons we liked it because we didn't want to do a buy-in. What impressed me most was the friendliness of the people.

I visited Savannah Pines, but the person who was supposed to show me around was not there that day because it was a Sunday. I know another person who lived there, and she told me a few things. They have a movie room and a library. The dining area was very nice.

Savannah Pines looked new with everything neat and clean. There weren't any complaints since it's fairly new. The food was good, and there were different activities for the residents. I will be looking back into this community since my daughter is living in the area.

Savannah Pines was a very welcoming place. From the very beginning, when I entered the doors, there was a sign welcoming me. The dining area is much more like going to a really nice restaurant. It has a definite orientation toward entertainment because they have a large theater where they bring in speakers and they have films. It’s very expensive but the staff is very welcoming and very helpful.

Savannah Pines was very elegant. My aunt thought it was way too ritzy for her, but I didn't see any people moving around. The rooms were very lovely, roomy, and fresh. The staff seemed fine, friendly, and very nice. They have done a good job of calling us again to follow up. The facility had "main street décor" where it looked like there was a street inside with a bank, pharmacy, and different businesses. The dining and performing arts rooms were lovely. It was very, very nice.

We know people in Savannah Pines. The food there is very good. The rooms are very nice. They have pretty much the same activities as the others. It doesn’t have assisted living. Security is fine.

This is a great facility as it is a dual facility for Independent and Assisted living if the transition is needed. This is a beautiful modern building. There are one and two bed room apartments. They are beautiful and you can bring your own touches to make it your home. The staff is excellent and extremely helpful. The dining hall is a Restaurant /Bistro. The menu is well planned and healthy but most of all the residents said the food is amazing. The common areas are clean and well decorated. There are lovely seating areas for visitation both inside and outside. There is a fully daily colander full of activities and events. The residents I spoke to said they love living here and I should move in. I said ok in about 25 years, and one little man said he would wait for me. Delightful place with a delightful staff attentive to all the residents needs and wants. This facility is a bee hive of activity, there are multipal activities planned daily. Movies, outings, Concerts, Civic events and worship services and much more. There are Chess matchs, Golf as well as Bridge and Poker games. They were 2nd to none. Great place I would move my loved one here.
