Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit was very nicely done. The staff was friendly. You walked into the dining area, and it was a nice large dining area. It was clean. They have a small library and a small workout room. The washers and dryers were not in the apartment; they were on each floor. A downside there was that there were no stoves, it was just a refrigerator and a sink. But I was told they could bring a hotplate or a microwave.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit. It's a basic independent living where their meals are provided, housekeeping is provided, and the bedding is taken care of. If you wanted any other care, you would pay extra. So if you had to have your medications monitored, you pay extra. If you wanted to have your laundry taken care of, that was extra. There were other things that they would provide like assistance with showering or at least someone attending while you're taking a shower, so that was an additional charge. It was a menu of things that they would provide. There is a basic price, which I thought was quite reasonable. Of course, as you added all these extras, it would probably add up pretty quickly. What I liked about that is that if you didn't think you needed help with certain things, you didn't have to pay for it. The rooms were fantastic. I thought they were very large. They had studio options, but the one-bedroom, which I looked at, was very spacious in my opinion. The staff was very nice, seemed to be very interested in answering all my questions, and was very personable, friendly, and good overall. They're in the middle of remodeling and making some major changes. They had a game room-type thing. I think they have a weight room and exercise machines. They have a library all set up, which looked like it was going to be nice. They still have work to do on that. The facility was very clean and bright. The rooms were big and open and let in a lot of light into the rooms. The dining area looked nice. I was impressed overall with the facility.

Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit offers independent living, but they also offer full scale of care for those who are in need. Their dining area was bigger because they offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was a lot more elegant as far as the style. For those who are not able to go out, they still offer functions inside the facility to keep them active. It's just that the size of the place wasn't what we were looking for.

We went to look at Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit. I can't think of anything that I didn't like about it. It was all very well set up. The staff members were very friendly and informative. They have a gym, a hair salon, washers and dryers in each hallway, and elevators. There are all kinds of things for people to do. I was very impressed with the upkeep, and the cleanliness is very impressive.

When we went and toured Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit, they were just remodeling everything. So, everything was brand new. They had quite a few different activity rooms and a new dining room. Everything was very smooth, beautiful, and nicely done. The lady who gave the tour was great. She was wonderful at her job and she knows the residents. She was already talking to my father and asking him about his interests and had known different people that she wanted him to talk to. We even stopped and she introduced him to them because she knew that they would have something in common. So I think that was great. All the meals were included. The food was very good. They had an outdoor area with a nice sidewalk around the building that you can walk on. It's also very close to Walmart, so it's very conveniently located.

I was impressed with Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit. I liked it a lot and it was very, very helpful for me to know what was going on, how to plan, and figure out what we want to take with us. I loved it. I liked the floor plan of the whole building. I looked at several of the rooms. I was very impressed with the library, the place to do exercises and the other rooms. There was just a lot of activity that was available at your front door and it was very clean. The person I talked to was delightful and very informative. It just felt really good and it felt like it was a community that I would enjoy. I can be by myself or I can go out the door and have people to talk to. The whole thing was a really good experience for me. I did like it. I would consider it a place that I would like to live. The staff who took me on the tour was very friendly, and I met several of the people that lived there and they seemed to like it. I thought that it would be a good place. Their facilities were top-notch because they had just been remodeled. They're very clean and very pleasing to the eye.

Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit was wonderful. The dining and living room were very open. The bedrooms were wonderfully sized and had both a walk-in shower and a tub. The room that we are going to get currently has a carpet, but they're taking all that out and going to redo that. They have a patio out back that has the grass area off of it that I can walk my dog on. Everything is inclusive, including your cable TV and also your internet. They have a nurse 24/7, which is very desirable for us, and a senior alert button. Jill was the one who gave us the tour and she was great. I was just overwhelmed with the place. It's fantastic.

My relative will be moving to Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit very soon. Independent living is all they offer, they don't have some additional support available there, which was one of the reasons that we chose that with her health conditions. With the aging in place that they offer, we think we'll give her the support that she needs to remain independent, so that was one of the big pluses, along with providing the transportation and meals. The facility itself was very nice, very clean, and very well kept. We were really impressed with the staff there and the way that they handled everything, and actually having that guest suite was a huge plus, because it provided an opportunity for my relative to be directly discharged from rehab and go to the guest suite while we wait for her apartment to get ready. So that was a big plus. The lady who gave the tour was very helpful, friendly, and had the ability to find resources to help us. They gave us a little snack as a thank you, which were kind of pre-packaged. The room had a kitchenette with a full-sized refrigerator, which was adequate compared to other ones. They offered three meals a day, whereas other places only provide one meal a day.

I went to look at Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit. The rooms were much smaller. There were no kitchen and laundry facilities in the rooms, you have to go down to the end of the hall. The only thing that is in its favor is that it is in Lee's Summit. The buildings were nice and clean. I did like the fact that they serve your meals, so the meals were included in your rent. So that was one thing in their favor. The staff members were very nice. They had a library and a place to get your hair done. They have buses to take you to places. They had a necklace you could put on and wear if you fell or something of that sort, that was included in their rental.

Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit was a lovely facility with everything you could need. It was very nice, and I would recommend it to anyone who is in that age group and looking for that kind of facility. The individual who gave the tour was very attentive, very pleasant, was very glad to answer any questions, and showed us anything that we asked to see. The rooms were very compact, but they're very nice and pretty much what you would expect in terms of size. They offer studio-type apartments with very limited kitchen facilities and then there were also larger apartments with a full kitchen and could either be a one-bedroom or two-bedroom.

I liked the setup of Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit. It's nice and clean, it seems like the staff was really helpful and friendly. The only thing is it's more like an assisted kind of living place. I know you can live doing your own, but I just don't think it'll be a fit for me. I'm 58 and I still work. As far as the meals and all that, I don't think I need all of that. But other than that, it was a nice place that I would love to live in. Everything there was nice. The person who gave me the tour was great. They told me to come back and try the food, but I got so busy yesterday, I forgot about it. But she did offer me a complimentary meal just to see how the food was before I check in with them. It was nice, clean, and well-kept. I think they have a patio and every unit had a deck.

My dad moved into Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit, and I like that they have an in-house assisted living facility. They're very helpful; they do a lot of things to help my dad. They said he couldn't do an independent living facility, so they've combined the two, and they're doing a very good job. My dad enjoys their beautiful dining area, and the warm atmosphere that they have there. They have a nice dining area, they have an activity center, they have an in-house salon, and they have a very convenient laundry that's right around the corner from his room. There's also an outside access point where the family members can approach, and they don't have to go through the building to be able to get to his room. They're very welcoming to the families. Rides are included to go to doctors' appointments, and they have scheduled events to go to shopping areas. They have a van that takes them places on particular days of the week so they don't have to drive (or if they're not able to drive), but they can still go shopping. There's just a lot of questions we've had that they've answered. He's only been there for about a little over a month, and we're still finding new things that I think we have overlooked before. It's a beautiful park-like experience, and I don't have any complaints right now. They are incredibly helpful in all areas.

The place I lived before was Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit. I love living there, and I love the concept, but they raised the rent. My rent was $2000 a month, and they were going to raise it almost $200. I could not afford to stay there, and that's a studio. It's a lovely place, though. I would give it high marks all the way around -- if you have enough income to be able to absorb the rent increases. There's no cap on rent every year; the rent's going to continue to go up every year that you live at the property. I would recommend them to anybody who could afford to live there. I was just in a studio apartment, so that's really pricey for a studio apartment. The big winner there is that they serve food, and it has a dining-room type of atmosphere. It was almost like having a meal out with your friends. The facility is wonderful, beautiful, and breathtaking. They had activities all the time, except the year I was there when we had the pandemic. They had people come in for entertainment. They had people come in and do health recommendations. They had a nurse come once a week to check your blood pressure, your oxygen level, your overall being, and how you're doing. They also had a nurse practitioner check on you. It's a remarkable place, but it's also a high-end community. You have to be able to have the income to absorb the rent increases every year you're there.

The most important thing about this facility is the director and his staff. They truly care about the residents. My aunt continually puts them to the test and their care never waivers. The facility is well maintained. The rooms are very nice and they have sizes to fit your needs. The dining area is open, airy with a wall of windows. There is a walking path on the grounds. They have scheduled transportation. The beauty salon is very convenient.

Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit was excellent. The staff was very sweet, very friendly, and very nice, and they seemed to care about my mother's care. Of course she was independent, but it led to the fact that her Alzheimer's was getting worse, and she might not be safe there anymore just because she couldn't take care of herself. But I think it was a very good place if you are independent. My mother really didn't like the food, but she was at the point where she didn't know she could request something else, so if they brought her something she didn't like, she just didn't eat it. It was built probably in the 1990s, and the decor is reflective of that time. It has beautiful artwork and interesting things to look at, and they have a nice dining room. It is very reminiscent of the 1990s, and maybe it could use some updates, but overall it is still very beautiful.

My mother lived in Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit. It was a wonderful experience. It's independent living, but they have a company there that will provide higher services if you need it. The staff was wonderful, the food varied, and they went through several chefs. They had daily activities, church on Sundays, three meals a day, Wii bowling, my mom loved to do puzzles, and they had movies. They're right behind Wal-Mart, and it's a very good location.

We chose Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit for my dad because of the atmosphere, the people that were in-charge, and because it fit into our budget. It was like an answered prayer, and it's over in an area that we wanted. When he wants to he will be able to visit the people in his church, and that was a big concern for him. He is independent, but needs a little help. The nurses will come to check on him and help wrap his legs. His room is just perfect for him. It's a small 400 square feet room, but it's good for him. He has a big bathroom and plenty of storage area. The staff is very friendly, and we call them to ask them if they can check on our dad to make sure he's OK. The food is not geared towards diabetics, but they do have sugar-free desserts and stuff like that, so it's a little hard to maintain on some level. They have a lot of different kinds of activities, but since the COVID some of them have been on hold. They haven't had one case of COVID and they'd like to keep it that way, which is wonderful. He pays $2,100 a month, which for me is a lot of money, but looking into assisted living areas out there it's not really as much as other places. For what he's got and where he's at, I think it's perfect for his needs and the money. I was very grateful that they gave each resident a necklace for emergencies, which goes straight to the emergency rescue or fire department. Like when he called for an ambulance, they were there within three minutes. They have a very good response time for him to access what he needs, so it puts our mind at ease.

Overall, my mom is pleased with Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit. The special they had for the moment was good as far as pricing. The apartments are nice. My mom has a small 1-bedroom apartment that has a refrigerator, sink, a patio, but no full kitchen. The rooms and staff are nice. There were times when the food has not been good, but overall, it's good. They have exercise classes, art classes, Bingo, and bridge, so they have lots of things to do.

I thought Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit was very nice. They showed me around and gave me a brochure. However, when I went to visit, they didn't really go into details about things. It was more general, but when my parents went back, they went into more details. The dining area looked OK; it was clean. The rooms were nice, too.

Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit was nice but expensive. They had a good food selection. The two-bedroom that I looked at was nice. They seemed to have a good amount of activities. The staff was very nice. I don't have any negative things to say about the person who gave me the tour. They had a library, a salon, a hairstylist, and laundry rooms in each of the wings.

We visited Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit. I was very impressed with the building, but as it turns out, my mom at this point needs more of a medical presence. We spoke with the director who gave us lots of information and gave us a tour. The rooms were wonderful and some had balconies. The dining room had a huge ceiling flooded with lights. We didn't eat there, but they gave us a little dessert while we were talking, which was delicious. I think it's a wonderful place if you're a little younger than my mom. They have lots of activities and they have quite a few residents there. It's a pretty big place with three floors. Some people still keep their cars there. It's definitely for those that don't need a big medical presence right away. I was very impressed with what I saw. A resident did come up and talk to us on his own and he explained how happy he was living there.

It was nice and pretty. It has an on-site eating facility. The people were extremely nice and helpful. They provided transportation and had movies and libraries in their apartment wings. The rooms were very nice, comfortable, and a manageable size. They offered housekeeping services. It’s easily accessible, too, and the community was a nice size.

I was looking for a place for my cousin, and we had signed him up here. He will be moving to that place soon. The place was wonderful, and I am very impressed. The person who assisted me were great. Meals are being served, and they have their own transportation system and so forth. They have a chapel, a library, and anything a resident would need.

It had nice and big studio apartments, and I was surprised at the size. They have a ton of activities. They have a bus that you could sign up to go to Walmart once a week or to your doctor's office if it's a certain mile radius. It looks like they have a full schedule. The guy there was more like a salesman. He wasn't pushy, but he was more business. The food was OK, and the price was really good. Everybody was really friendly, and it was spotless and beautiful. What I liked about it was each room had a door where you could go out a little deck where you could go outside by yourself without having to have somebody assist you. They had new appliances and a little kitchenette area. There are lots of spaces to move around in the building like lounges and places with cards set up.

It is very nice, very friendly, and very homey. They serve three delicious meals a day. Mom has her own little apartment that she really likes. They clean her room and are very friendly. It's a very caring place. If she needs someone to come in and help her, we pay for that. They've been very good to her.

Everything was very nice. Breakfast was served at 7:00, lunch was served at 12:30, and dinner was served at 5:00, and we were not comfortable. We rather had open sitting. However, I understood why they had to do that, because they had to hire people to serve. Also, you had to pay for your three meals, and that was in your monthly rent. We thought we could just do one meal. The portions were really small. However, the staff was very friendly. The place was clean and cheerful. They had popcorn. They had games going. Some of them were playing pool, and playing cards. They had beautiful art works on the walls. The cottages were very nice, and they had plenty of parking.

I was impressed with my visit. The staff was great. The rooms were exceptional. The setup was attractive and pleasant. They offer different activities; pretty much anything in that facility can do. We didn’t get into a lot of detail with it, but it looked like they had plenty of activities set up. They have places to do puzzles and games. Their dining area looked very good.

What I liked about it was that there was a lot of people out and active. The residents were doing activities -- exercise classes and playing pool -- and they were doing some holiday programs. The staff was very friendly and helpful, very informative, willing to answer, and would stop what they were doing to answer any question that I had. I had lunch there, and the food was good.

It was very nice and the people seemed to be very happy. They invited us for lunch and they had a resident to sit with us and to talk to us about the facility. We converse with her through the whole lunch which is very enjoyable and she was very nice. The rooms were very nice and they all had an outside window. it was large enough for king size bed if you wanted it, and the rooms were larger than most of the other communities. They had options like the main meal or you could pick anything that you want, or you could have other food that they had available. They have activities all the time, they go places, they had people come in to put on shows, sing-alongs, bingo, and Wii bowling -- which a lot of the ladies really enjoy. They had a large library with very nice seats, so people could just sit in that area and read if they wanted to. They could have replaced the carpet itself; though it wasn’t dirty, it was just getting worn already, but I would definitely recommend this community.

It reminded me more of a nursing home than an independent living. Everything was fine. The staff was very helpful. A man took us around. They had a help care. However, their rooms were too small and it didn't have a stove nor a refrigerator or a sink.
