I visited Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. It's hard to give a first impression because they're remodeling, so there's kind of a mess everywhere. The one reason we wouldn't use it is because they don't have stoves and my father likes to do his own cooking. The person during the tour was very nice and very helpful. We did not eat there. The dining area was fine. They have a lot of activities and a lot of different things. They have a library, crafts, and a pool table. If you're a sociable person, that's the place to be because everybody's talking with everyone. It's an older building. They're completely remodeling.

I like the location of Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. I like the closeness to a lot of the medical services that surround the facility. It was being updated as well. It was a nice facility. We met one staff member, and she was wonderful. All the amenities were very top-notch. They were all great. They had an activity center, a small workout center, and a separate dining room for private celebrations if you wanted to do so. They offered a lot of activities daily. They offered transportation by bus. There were a lot of nice amenities that were included.

Solstice Senior Living at Joliet was nice. We liked that they had a lot of good activities for your loved ones to enjoy. They also had ambassadors who showed new residents around for a few days to make them comfortable. They had a library and a gym.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Joliet for my father. It seems like a really nice place, but I thought that the prices are very high for seniors because a lot of seniors are only on social security. They were very friendly, and the visit went very well. There were no stoves, so there can be no fire. You got three meals a day, housekeeping once a week, and activities every day.

Solstice Senior Living at Joliet is very conscientious, very caring, and just very receptive to the needs of the residents. Mom's apartment is very clean and they keep it warm for the elderly. There are individual thermostats in each room. Their dining area has an excellent vibe. They provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it is a chef that helps design the meals with dietary needs and nutrition. After every meal, the chef comes out and asks the residents how it was, gets feedback, says hello, and is just very caring. I've tried the food and it was very good. Mom loves it, too. Their onsite services include CNAs that will help if residents need more support in dressing or bathing or anything like that or medications. Then they have occupational therapy, exercise classes that are taught by the staff (just stretching and all that), therapy dogs that come out, a podiatrist that comes onsite too, a beauty salon, and a chapel for services. They've got a lot of activities. There's like a veteran's wall and introductions of new residents. So, they do a lot to promote the community. They also have a card room with a pool table, puzzles and games, a movie room, and a separate dining room so you could bring your family with an oven if you wanted to make a family dinner for your family, bingo, ice cream socials, a Christmas program, and a bus that takes the residents to different trips and then will take them to doctors appointments within ten miles. I think it's well worth the cost and it's a la carte, so you can just add what you need.

Solstice Senior Living at Joliet got it going on. They have everything you need. They have a pool table, a puzzle room, a TV, a hair salon, bingo, happy hour, and dancing. Their dining area is so big. It's a restaurant-style where they have set up a menu on what you're going to have, but you can also just come in and tell them what you want. I liked that this place was bright and everybody was bubbly and cheerful. They got all different kinds of setup bedrooms. The two-bedroom looked pretty nice and it comes with a refrigerator in the room. You can have a hot plate if you want it in your room, too. Then you have your bathroom. Some of the rooms had balconies and some had none. It's your choice. If you're on the ground floor, you can have a patio. The lady that gave us the tour was nice and she explained everything to us.
