The Ivy at Hawaii Kai is in a beautiful location. The facilities are fantastic. I have no complaints about it. It's perfect. The staff is super helpful and super knowledgeable. I was very impressed. I wasn't able to taste the food, but I went and saw the dining area and looked at menus and stuff like that, and I was impressed with what they offered. It's very clean, very nice, very modern, and well-maintained inside and out. It's beautiful and tropical with great views.

The Ivy at Hawaii Kai was very nice. I liked it, but unfortunately, I couldn't afford their budget. If I had the money and everything, I would have moved in there already. The person during the tour was excellent. She was very nice. From what I could see, all the staff they had there were very professional. The activities that I saw were just OK. It was a beautiful place and the grounds were well taken care of.

The Ivy at Hawaii Kai was a very big facility with several buildings and private residences. The grounds were beautiful. It was like you were at a hotel. They were all very helpful. We saw their menu, and it was like a restaurant menu. It was local food, but it was very restaurant sounding. Their dining hall was beautiful. I felt like I was at a hotel, but you have people that are around and taking care of you. It was a huge acreage. They have a calendar of all their activities that are in-house. You can sign up if you want to go traveling. They have buses that take people to the doctors or on excursions. They have those going, so that was amazing.

I had spoken to Ivy at Hawaii Kai before I arrived and told them that I had two concerns. When I got there, I repeated the two major concerns I had, but neither was addressed when they were touring me around. When I reminded them of it, they acted surprised. So, they did not address what I had specifically told them that needed to be addressed. They were very proud of the fact that they try to run it like a hotel and it was exactly like a hotel in New York, where there are a thousand people around you, but none of them want to meet you. They won't make eye contact. The facility was beautifully done and beautifully maintained. I think it was recently renovated, but the feeling I had was just not warm and snuggly. We stood on a balcony overlooking the dining room floor, and nobody was laughing. Nobody was talking to their neighbor. Nobody was leaning across to talk to another table. These things are just for me, personally, because a friend of mine who went with me at the same time actually loved the place. She has moved in, and I think she'll thrive there. Her personality fits right in, but for me, it just didn't fit my needs.

The location of The Ivy at Hawaii Kai was very good. It had a lot of areas and open spaces one can walk about. The people seemed to be very friendly. Not all the one-bedrooms have a washer and dryer or a full kitchen though. If they have a full kitchen and washer and dryer in all the units, it would be deal. The food was good. We had lunch there and I liked the sandwiches. They had a gym, dance classes, a lot of exercise programs, and a swimming pool.

I have visited The Ivy at Hawaii Kai and it was pretty good, I like the location. The personal tour was nice, and detailed, and they explained everything. The staff is pretty good and the rooms are really good, they have a pretty good view. There was a game and people were playing poker, they had all kinds of things.
