I visited this facility

I visited Holiday Pinecrest and the place itself was nice. I didn't find anything that I didn't like. I just don't think I will be able to afford it. Warren was very, very nice. He was very, very helpful and knew what he was talking about. He knew everything. The food was prepared great. It tasted good. It's presented very well. They've got everything I need. They have a gym, an onsite barber, and medical care 24/7 if needed. It's a great place.

We have now been here for one year. The facility is wonderful and has a lot of potential, however, they are unable to keep staff so promised services are non existent and the constant excuses never turn into solutions. The staff that have remained have been unable to manage effectively. They are constantly running out of food and the food they do have is rarely a complete meal and certainly not cooked by a chef who knows how to cook. We have had to beg for housekeeping and the one time we asked for transportation is could not be accommodated. The activities are either non existent or not taylored to the population. The turnover rate of residents is horrible and more and more residents should be in assisted living as they are far from independent. Very disappointed with staff interactions as everyone is overworked and stressed and often downright rude to the residents. While Pinecrest was the best place I toured, I would highly recommend visiting multiple times and hanging out talking to residents before signing a contract.

There was nothing I didn't like about Holiday Pinecrest. Everything was awesome. It looked like it was being run like a fine-oiled machine. You can tell the residents are content. They have different courtyards and places where people have their own gardens or birdhouses. Warren was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable, very personable, and knew the right questions to ask. I felt like he was a true asset to that community. When we got there, he received my message, and he had the chef bring packages of some cookies. It was a nice gesture and the cookies were delicious. They were amazing.

I visited this facility

We toured Holiday Pinecrest. It's independent living but they contract with this other company to provide whatever level of care that you need. The community was very swanky. As far as the place itself, it was the Taj Mahal of them all. It's huge. There are three floors, and there's an elevator. It's so unlike all the rest of the places we toured. It was shocking to walk in there. If you are still independent and you want to be in a nice place, that's the place to go. The staff who gave us the tour was over the top. He had a little sign out front welcoming my mother-in-law, but she wasn't even with us when we visited. He was a very good salesperson. The surroundings were super nice and elegant. The staff told us that they had tons of things going on that you could do. The dining area looked like a fancy restaurant. Some of the rooms have balconies. The inside is just as pretty as the outside.

I went to Holiday Pinecrest. It was nice. They were very friendly. They were very involved with the clients. As we walked through, the staff was greeting everybody by their first name and carried on a short conversation, just checking on them. They were also coming out of lunchtime, so the food smelled good. I didn't taste it, but it smelled very good, and it was clean, too. Overall, I was pleased with the information that I received and the tour.

Holiday Pinecrest was very nice, and I liked it. It was not new, but it was very clean. It had every amenity to make you feel you are living a good lifestyle. The whole place was beautiful. Warren gave me the tour, and he was very thorough. He showed me a one-bedroom apartment that was furnished and a one-bedroom that was vacant. It had a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and a kitchen sink. It also had a balcony, which I loved. Their menu was great. They serve the meals for an extended period of time to accommodate everybody. The parking was great. They had walking areas and pet areas, which I was impressed with because I have a little dog. I could definitely see myself living there.

We chose Holiday Pinecrest because it was one of two that we looked at. We liked it when we walked in, so we didn't even tour the other place. It was affordable as well for my dad. My dad has moved in this month. The staff are outstanding. They were very helpful and gave us lots of information. They've helped him since he moved in. They're just genuinely nice people. My dad says the food is fantastic. It's in a very nice location that is secure. It's very clean. It's a little expensive, but it's the least expensive for what you get with the available options.

My dad moved into Pinecrest. It was just the best fit for my dad. It has more of a home feel than a nursing home feel. They had a lot of really great activities for the residents, a lot of really great outings, and regular transportation for the residents. They had a great outdoor area and pretty much a balcony or a patio with a lot of the unit. All of the apartments are private. There are no shared rooms. I have heard from multiple residents that the food is very, very good. They were doing Chocolate Day. They brought in a chocolate mousse cake and did some other stuff. They have a movie night coming up and an outing to the mountains with a picnic. Once the weather warms up a little bit more, they take them three days a week out to run errands wherever they want to go. Two days a week, they go out and take them to doctor's appointments wherever they need to go. The rooms are primarily studio apartments with accessible showers and a small kitchenette. There is enough space for my dad to have a full-sized bed with a dresser and a chair to sit in. They have restaurant-style dining, so they get seated, and then they get to order from the menu.

My mom's room at Pinecrest is great. The staff they have is very nice and friendly, and the place is clean. She's been staying there for a long time now and she's happy and gets the services she needs. There are changes given the work situation now, but she's happy there. The only thing she ever complained about is the food. Their dining area is very large. Then they have exercises, card games, bingo, and they always have some form of entertainment that they can go and watch, like sing-alongs or someone coming in to speak. They have a calendar out where you can keep track of what's coming up, which I think is handy for everybody. They always have Halloween parties, dress-like-your-favorite-team type of day or something like that, and a bus that takes them shopping or to a specific place or go in for a tour. Over the years, she's got hundreds of different activities. So, it helps the people that don't drive or have a car to be out and about. The layout is open and it's attractive. It's got beautiful artwork in the hallways and beautiful grounds. The pavilions were pretty and user-friendly. She just doesn't have a pool to pick from, because that would have been my favorite thing. They have no indoor or outdoor pool. So, that would be my only downfall, but they're always doing stuff. There's no reason for a person to be bored unless you don't want to do anything.

Pinecrest has a lot of great rooms and comes in at a good price, but it's just not what we needed for our parents. We needed more access to healthcare and nursing, and this is more of a residential type of home where people are still up and able, looking after themselves, and not needing any type of care. Everything we saw there was very nice, very well taken care of, and kept up. The staff who accompanied me was really nice, very accommodating, very knowledgeable, and gave us a lot of information. They do a lot of activities, but you're just more free to kind of come and go as you like, since it's more for the independent seniors. Right now because of COVID, they're not able to do a lot of things, as far as having people coming in to do ballroom dancing and entertainment, but it's a beautiful property.

My husband and I just signed up today to move into Pinecrest in March. The price was right for one thing. It's close to our daughter, it met all my needs, and it had two bedrooms and two baths, which was what we wanted. The staff I met was excellent, too. We had one meal there, and it was very, very good. So far, the apartments look nice.

I visited Pinecrest. I went over and I looked at the apartment. They had one available, but when I talked to my daughter about it, she said no. She didn't want me to move that far away. The apartment that was available was on the first floor. It had a private outside door. That place was very nice. I would recommend it for anybody that can afford it. It's an independent living, but they have a CNA on-call, they have someone to clean your apartment, which is included, and then they have a doctor that's on call. It's a very nice place. They have beautiful grounds. It's got lots of trees. It's just a gorgeous place. I fell in love with it. The people were really nice. The workers in the main lobby were very nice. I would recommend it for anybody that has the income to take it. They have a really nice workout room for you, and they have an activity director. They have everything that you would need. The staffers were very sweet and very nice. I only met three staff members; they were very nice. There were some people who had requested a snack. So they had chairs outside of each door, and there was a little snack sitting on the chair. I didn't get to sample the food, but the staff said I could come back if I wanted to. The structure was excellent. It's the best one I have seen. It's a three-story building. They have three different buildings, but they're all attached.

Very informative. Apartments are large and set up nicely. The staff was polite, friendly and we saw happy faces (residents). Nice features, open atrium, library, 3 meals daily, housekeeping. We looked at 1-bedroom and studio apartments for mom as we are planning for future.

I had to move my Dad to a Senior Living space when we moved to North Carolina. Warren, the sales manager at Pinecrest was extremely helpful in helping me to choose an apartment that was right for my Dad’s budget. He was friendly and thoughtful and assisted me in thinking about future care options, as my dad ages. Pinecrest is very lovely, inside and out!

Pinecrest was good and we liked the place. The deposit fee was a bit much though. Overall, it was pleasant and nice, but I think it could be upgraded. The grounds could be a little nicer. Personnel-wise, it's all good. The size, layout, and amenities are great. The rooms are clean, but I think they could keep the exterior a little cleaner.

Pinecrest was beautiful and clean. I saw two apartments; both were beautifully arranged and very convenient. I thought Pinecrest was great. I like it very much. The dining area was beautiful, clean, and set up nicely. It would be an enjoyable place to have lunch. They had a group in there singing songs. It was very interesting. The gentleman who did the tour was very knowledgeable, very friendly and very pleasant. Everyone there was very pleasant.

Pinecrest has a nice dining room and nice greeting areas. They're doing some upkeep with the facilities, which is very nice. There are walking areas around the community. They have garden areas with places to sit and nice balconies. Their 1- and 2-bedroom units are much larger than at other facilities. They have games, reading clubs, and travel opportunities where they take residents out. It's definitely in a section of town that is devoted primarily to senior living. There are many complexes nearby in the same area of the town, which is the senior side, and it is close to the medical facility. It's a nice setting. The cleanliness was good. The staff was friendly and informative, and it looked like many of them have been there for quite awhile.

Pinecrest was very nice and offered a lot of different things, but it was just beyond my budget. The staff was very friendly, informative, and answered all my questions. They seemed to be very friendly, attentive, and answered the residents' questions. It seemed like a very nice place to be. The rooms were very spacious, nice, laid out well, and they offered several amenities to go with them. It was exactly what I was looking for if only I could afford it.

My mother is at Pinecrest right now. We chose this community because of all the different amenities, everything is included, and it is a very nice place. The staff is very good, and they work for the residents. They have arts and crafts, Bible studies, exercise every day, bingo twice a week, prayer group twice a week, and entertainment. They have something every day for the residents. My mother has a nice, one-bedroom apartment. On the scale of 1 to 10, I would say it is probably a 9. It has a big bathroom, a big living room, and a small kitchen area. The food is great. The common dining area is very clean and very inviting. It looks like a luxury hotel.

My father used to live at Pinecrest, and they were wonderful. The only problem was they changed managers about every six months. They had a beautiful two-bedroom, two-bath apartment. I've eaten there before, and the food was delicious. They had musical groups that come in, and they've got bingo and little horse races. They have lots of things for the seniors to do. What impressed me most were probably the apartments. The apartments were very nice.

It took me a long time to find a community for my father in law. We found Pinecrest last March and he absolutely loved it. The people are fantastic. They got three gourmet meals a day and it's like a cruise ship only you're not cruising anywhere. His room is a studio but there's plenty of room for all of his stuff. It's got a little kitchen, a bathroom and a back deck that's gorgeous.
