I visited this facility

The staff in The Waterford at Fort Worth was very friendly, very informative, and answered all my questions. My appointment was scheduled right at lunchtime so I sat down and had lunch. Their food was fabulous. I don't even like pot roast, but it was good. I want the recipe matter of fact. They have a library, an art room, a theater room, a gym, and they have a lot more facilities inside than the one my mother's at. You can walk around the whole building. Is it located in the greatest area? No. It's part of South Fort Worth. It's not the safest. It's a very busy area. It's more commercial than residential. That's the only drawback and there's not a whole lot of parking. Other than that, I liked it. I thought it was nice. I told my mother if she didn't take it, I would. Just from the pot roast alone, it was good. They have an activity director that's very loved and the director seemed to be very loved by people, too.

Provider Response

Thanks so much for this wonderful review! We enjoyed seeing you and your mom! Come back and I'll try and get that recipe for you.

The Waterford at Fort Worth is affordable. The facility looked very nice and very clean. The person that took me around to look was very friendly and helpful. The residents looked happy and the room that I'm going to is going to be big enough for my needs. They provide three meals a day. They had a good-sized library, which was great because I love to read. The dining room looked very nice. It was very neat and presentable. All bills will be paid and they have free Wi-Fi and free cable.

Provider Response

Teresa, we are so happy to read such a great review about The Waterford at Fort Worth! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We look forward to you being a vital resident in our community.

My loved ones have moved into The Waterford at Fort Worth. They have met all of their needs. Their room is spacious for a good price, and the staff there is amazing. The food is delicious. The head chef even comes out to greet the residents in the dining hall and get feedback right there. It has been a great experience for them. My loved ones are in a one-bedroom apartment. It's one of the larger one-bedroom apartments because it's on an inside corner. It's got an angled wall, so it's bigger than the typical ones but it's for the same price. They don't get those open very often, and we just happened at the absolute right time. They provide three meals a day and transportation, which was the big draw. They have activities going on every day. They have field trips posted on their event wall. The residents are happy to be there. Right across from my loved ones' room is the elevator, which is also next door to the resident laundry room for their hall. The housekeeping comes in once a week and washes all their linens and all their towels and sheets, even if the residents provide them. The only thing they have to launder is their own personal clothing. They've got a beautiful shaded outdoor spot and a huge library. They have probably over a dozen bookshelves, like floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. They've got an activity room and a nice chapel. They have a pastor who comes in every Sunday and does Bible study during the week. That's important. They have an exercise room and a TV lounge. The dining room is huge. They have 30-plus tables in there, and they're spaced out, so there's room for wheelchairs and stuff. They have a private dining room if you have guests come in for like an event. They have 24/7 security.

Provider Response

Hi Anna, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience! Our team strives to deliver an excellent experience, and are glad you found this to be the case. Thank you again for leaving us this response!

The Waterford at Fort Worth was doing a lot of remodeling, but from what I could see, it was very clean and very nice. The staff that I met was very, very friendly. One thing that they have that the other ones did not have was they have a medical personnel that comes in, a doctor, and I liked that. They also have a little store that carries a few personal items, like toiletries and some food stuff. If you have any particular wants or needs, they would try to stock them in the store. So, I liked the idea that they had a little store right in the facility there.

Provider Response

Thank you so much for your kind word and taking time to write a review. Remodeling is almost done and it looks great and we are very proud of community and our amazing staff!

I will be moving into The Waterford at Fort Worth. It has transportation. It has three meals a day and has lots of activities. The people are super friendly. They have arts and crafts. They have a handbell choir. They have a singing choir and exercise activity. Bingo is my favorite. In my first visit and interview, they offered me a meal. The food was excellent. A swimming pool and a dog park would be nice.

I visited The Waterford at Fort Worth and the price was why I didn't go there. The tour was alright. They were very friendly. They showed me the apartments and they had a community area. It looked very clean when we went through there. It was just the price that I didn't like. The apartment had a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The dining area had a bunch of chairs and tables and there was a line that you had to go through to get your food.

My mother is in The Waterford at Fort Worth. It is an independent living community. It has different-sized apartments. The chef has been with them for 20 years. Everything has gone fairly smoothly with her move-in, and the people there are very nice. The room that she chose was the larger studio apartment. It is spacious compared to where she was staying before, and very clean, lots of storage, and lots of closet space. They have transportation for the residents, they have a facility for working out, they have a movie theater set up for movies on a large screen, and they have many communal rooms where they do activities together. They have lots of activities planned every day. There's at least a couple in the afternoon, and they have a prayer room there onsite like a little chapel, which is very nice. They also have home health that comes in if the residents need it that you can use with your Medicare. For lunch or dinner, they have one special meal and then their menu. They always have something if you don't want what they're offering. The menu could be expanded a little bit. Other than that, I have no complaints. Even the chili dogs were good.

Provider Response

Hi Sherrie, thank you so much for your positive comments about The Waterford at Fort Worth!

I went to The Waterford at Fort Worth yesterday. The facility was much nicer and the woman that I spoke to was very accommodating, even into things that I wasn't expecting her to get into. I have a dog and I've just accepted that I'm going to have to give her up, but she tried to work with me so that maybe I could keep her, and I appreciated that. It's a lovely facility, more open and airy. The rooms were nice. I was just looking at the studio and a one-bedroom and leaning more towards the studio, but it was roomy enough, and it was pleasant. The only problem with that facility is the distance from my medical team. I have to consider that. They have typical activities, game rooms, and they have activities directors. They would take you to appointments within a certain radius.

Provider Response

Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!

The Waterford at Fort Worth was very nice and clean. They prepared the food and they had a lot of different activities. My friend had her room decorated very nicely. The staff is also very friendly. They've got church services, games, and all other different stuff. She gets good care too. She enjoys it, and she's satisfied there.

I had a cousin that lived at The Waterford at Fort Worth for a while, and I used to visit her. It's nice. She had a nice room, and there were a lot of activities there. A nurse would come periodically about every three days. She liked it. It's a large senior living facility.

Provider Response

Jack, thanks for your praise and kind comments about our team and the community. We take pride in providing a great environment for our residents to thrive!

The Waterford at Fort Worth was an older building. The staff was fun. It was the first place we actually got to do an in-person visit, so that was good. They had the activities. It probably would've worked, it's just my father didn't like the location and the cost at that time. They need to update the facility. They had home healthcare on-site.

Provider Response

Robin, we're glad to hear you enjoyed your visit and will review the feedback regarding the physical plant. I am sorry the location did not work but hopefully, we can meet in the future if dad's needs change.

The Waterford at Fort Worth is independent with assistance, but you pay extra for assistance. The place is fine if you’re able to get to and from the dining room. It's very nice and the meals are geared to the older generation. My dad is very weak and he has a walker, so he's unable to walk all the way to the dining room. Everything's expensive and you have to pay extra for extra assistance since it's not included in the rent. They have housekeeping that comes once a week. My dad has a 2-bedroom apartment and it's very nice. It has one bath, a beautiful L-shaped balcony, and it's on the third floor. It's all carpeted and the carpet is nice, but it's a little bit hard to push a walker on. The residents and the staff are very friendly though. They have a library, movie room, and they go on excursions. If your health is halfway decent, you could do these things. It has a lot to offer. They have a couple of buses that take the patients to Walmart once a week. They also do different activities and go on some kind of a scenic drive where they don't get off the bus. It's clean and there's a lot of parking. The grounds are kept very nice and the inside is nice. The carpets are very clean and low pile. They have laundry facilities on each floor.

Called to get information about this community and the person that answered the phone was terribly rude. I can't imagine having a loved one stay in a facility where they can't even be polite on the phone when trying to gather information.

Provider Response

Pnet, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. We have made great changes at the community and would love to have another opportunity to make a more positive impression.

My experience at The Waterford at Fort Worth is excellent. Some of the activities are poker, karaoke nights, Bible studies, other programs and bingo. It keeps us busy having fun and making a lot of friends. My apartment is fine, and the food is very good. They also have very good staff here.

The Waterford at Fort Worth was very nice. Cathy, the person who showed us around, was great, and she followed up with me on several occasions. Everything at that place looked good. They have a library and an open games area, but they don't have a swimming pool or an outside courtyard area, which would have been nice.

The rooms at The Waterford at Fort Worth were very nice, but a few of them were small. The whole building was very nice and very clean. It had everything you can ask for. The pool area and the courtyard were very nice. I also liked the nice staff.

The Waterford at Fort Worth is new and nice, and the price is very reasonable. It has everything -- a chapel, a bus, a private driver that will take residents to special doctors' appointments and beauty shop appointments on Thursdays. They have a very busy activities calendar. They go on trips, out to eat, shopping, and mall walking. They have a dining room that serves 3 meals a day. They have a beauty shop on-site. The food is sometimes better than other days. It has an in-house nursing facility with bridgeway nurses. They have Legacy Physical Therapy, Agape, and Texas Angels, and they're all in-house.

The Waterford at Fort Worth was very nice, but it was about $400 out of my price range. It was very clean and very nice with good food. I like the help. I actually got to meet the cook, and the lady that took me on a tour was very sweet. It’s right down the street from the malls and a lot of the eating facilities. It’s 2 minutes from my sister’s house which I tinker around doing yard work in. They showed me 2 different rooms. The studio is nice and clean; I really like it for me. I visited during lunch time. Everybody seemed happy and was being waited on real well. There was plenty of parking, and they have covered parking. They had car parks for your specific spot, and mine was right outside my window. I could actually see where my car or motorcycle was being parked.

Provider Response

The Waterford was nice, and we looked at the two bedroom. My brother and his wife said it was nice; we could use the living room for your bedroom if you think that the bedrooms are small. The lightings were very nice. They have a nice restaurant, and the food was really good, but I thought it was expensive.

The Waterford at Fort Worth was very nice, very clean, and very modern. However, it wasn’t suitable for my dad because he needed more care than what I think they were capable of providing. It appeared that the residents were more independent than my dad. There's the choice of a small studio all the way up to a two-bedroom apartment. It was very nice. It would have met his needs, but the professional care was not in line with his physical limitations.

The Waterford at Fort Worth is very good. The people are very caring and take care of all your needs, like cleaning your room. The food is excellent, and they serve three meals a day. The only drawback with the place is the price: it’s expensive. They have so many good activities and offer services to take you to doctors' appointments and to run errands. This community is excellent as far as I’m concerned.

My mother would be moving in The Waterford next week. It was nice. The staff was nice. The price was comparable with the services offered. She had not moved in yet, but so far, we had been in touch with everyone that worked there. The rooms were nice and updated with nice amenities. They were nice and clean. They were newer than some other places. The refrigerator and the counter top were updated. The bathrooms were nice. They had activities like people played cards and bingo. They had field trips. They had some movie time offered, and they had worship services. They had staff 24/7.

I don't really like the meal schedule, but that is something I would have to completely change -- my schedule. I am not a morning person, and they start early, but this was the only thing that I was not pleased with. Otherwise, it was very nice, and we have a relative at the Waterford -- my husband's sister. It is very nice, the food is good, the apartments are adequate, and I hear good reports about it from other people who live there. The staff is very nice, very informative, and very helpful. I've seen one room with furniture in it, which is my sister-in-law's, and it seemed adequate. Their dining room is very nice. Basically, I am impressed with the activities and the help provided for people. There is a choir, there are trips that they take, and they have card games, Bingo, and music programs, so there's great variety of activities. The security seems adequate.

I was able to look at Waterford at Fort Worth, and that was very good too although it was a little far out. I looked at a studio, and it was small, but still very nice.
