I have been a resident of Holiday Willow Park for seven years now. I've had my ups and downs, like any place you live. They have three meals a day. We finally have an activity director, so they have activities like bingo and music being played by outside people. They have games on Mondays. We have a bus that takes people if they have to go to the doctor. They only take people to the doctor in the morning. They take them to Walmart, drugstores, and everywhere else they need to go. It's also wheelchair-accessible. They do things for the holidays. We have several people in electric wheelchairs. We have mail services. If you need to send the package back, you can have it sent back here. You don't have to go to the post office. We have three laundry rooms, one on each floor. We have two visitor restrooms, one on the bottom floor and one on the second floor. There are balconies in some of the apartments. There are a lot of what they call studio apartments and some L-shaped studio apartments, which are nice. They are pet-friendly. There is covered parking if you want it, but you pay for it. They will take your trash out, but you have to take it to one of the laundry rooms. The food has gotten a whole lot better. We have an elevator.

My mom moved into Holiday Willow Park. It fit our needs, and it was our price. We like the look of the room. My mom had a nice and spacious room. Everything was kept very clean and nice, and we liked that. The staff members were very friendly and helpful in making our decision. My mom has been very pleased with the food so far. She has participated in just one or two activities, but they have activities all the time. They have activities on each floor, and my mom is on the third floor. They have snacks every day at 2:30. They have birthday parties. They offer a lot, so I was pleased with that.

I have moved into Willow Park. I have chosen it because of the amenities that it provides within the rent or payment that you pay. On the issue of affordability, it was cheaper than anything else I saw, and yet it has all of the things that I needed and wanted. So, I decided that I would stay here. It's very well-kept. I cannot see any examples of where they've chosen to go the cheap route in order to do something. For example, all the doors are solid core, there are no pasteboard doors, the way I call them. There are plenty of outlets in the apartment. The entire building is very well landscaped and decorated. It gives a very good, curb appeal kind of feeling when somebody drives up. It makes me proud to be able to say I live here. It's a nice and impressive looking building. It's very well-maintained. The staff is wonderful. I've met the chef, and she used to work in a resort my husband and I went to. I remember how pleased I was with the menus, and the quality of the food that they pulled out. I realized after a matter that I recognized that when I came here. I didn't realize that he was from that place, but I recognize that sort of signature of hers. We get very well-balanced meals. The only complaint I have had is the fact that the van that they take you to doctors' appointments with, they don't have one with a hydraulic lift on it, and I am in a power chair. So, that makes it very difficult for me. However, they do have a new van on orders, so that will get here someday soon. I think they're doing the very best that they can under the circumstances. I'm not an activity kind of person, I'm just going into bingo every day, because then I have other projects that I'm working on myself. From what I've seen on the public list of activities, they have a very well-rounded program. If I were in need of some place to go and something to do, I don't think I'd have any trouble finding a spot for myself. Based on my comparisons with other places, on what they offered and what they were requiring as far as price, I think this is the best bang for my buck I could possibly have found.

I liked Willow Park myself. I could go there. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. I liked the layout of it. I might have claustrophobia in the room, but I could do it. It's got a window. I could have a loveseat and a bed and all that stuff, and I wouldn't be sitting in there anyway. I'd be out some place else walking around. It would be OK. I would like to have a one-bedroom, but I don't think my budget would do it, so I would stay in a studio. I was very comfortable there. I didn't see the food, but the menu was good. It seemed pretty healthy to me. It was good enough for me. It was clean there and that surprised me. I was expecting something different, but it was clean and that's a good thing. It wasn't extremely fancy, but it was clean.

My mother has moved into Willow Park. It is nice and clean. The staff is excellent. They greeted us before we were there for our tour. The lady that assisted me was very informative. Also, she was familiar with a lot of people that my mother actually knew, so it made it feel warm, and it was as if Mother was back home again. They're all friendly and very eager to help. Michelle, the activity coordinator, is very helpful. I met with Kim, and I filled out the application. She also showed us the apartments my mother could choose from, and what was available. She was polite in asking some of the tenants to be able to see their layout inside. Of course, we were strangers to those people, but they were very helpful and accommodating. I really liked that approach, that Kim had a very personal relationship with the community of people. My mother's apartment is like an alcove studio. It's very nice. They have a balcony, so Mother is able to sit outside. Of course, I like the fact that Mother could go three times a day to get a full meal sit down dining. They do offer the services. If you're unable to attend those set times, you could also dine in your room. I did eat there as a guest with my mother, and the food was very nice. They have a facility there if the residents would like physical therapy. I like that they offer onsite the opportunity for Mother to be able to have better mobility that is available. They also provide a list of senior care or senior living, which has a phone numbers and resources for sitters and caregivers at many different levels that you can choose from. The dining area is very large and roomy. It's basically formal dining. The facility is clean, and it has a friendly atmosphere. It has a welcoming atmosphere. They provide transportation. They have a van. If the residents would like to go doctors or shopping or whatever, they provide a van service for that. You just pick up the phone, tell them you want to use the van for whatever your needs are, and they schedule it in for you. They are providing service for the residents for whatever they need.

We went to Willow Park. I loved it. The staff was great. They were absolutely wonderful. In fact, they invited my aunt to come stay in a guest suite free of charge for three nights. I think it was too independent for her. I think she is a little more comfortable with assisted living. There was nothing wrong with the facility. She loved the facility. The food wasn't very good, but they just had a new chef that day. Willow Park was wonderful, it was great. Everybody else seemed very happy. It's full, and they only had a couple of vacancies. They had a lovely library, a wonderful library. They give them a pendant to wear, like an alert thing, and everybody has that. So if they're on site or off site and they need assistance, they hit that, and they come right for them. They have a home health agency that is housed there, and they have a physical therapy agency that is housed there. So those services are all a la carte, that's why they can keep their costs down a little bit, because they don't pay all the nursing people. It's just a regular, apartment situation.
