My father was at Beaumont Commons, Dearborn for about 7 weeks. The staff was friendly, but it seemed like they were understaffed a little bit to support the needs of all their residents. But when the support was given, it was kind, courteous, and helpful support. So, that was good. He seemed to enjoy the activities once he was able to get up and out of bed. The people were nice and the facility was nice and clean. The activities were helpful. It kind of brought him some comfort or some happiness. The physical therapy portion of it was really good. It helped him tremendously to make some strides. I wouldn't say the food was excellent, but it was good and very adequate.

My grandmother is at Beaumont Commons, Dearborn for two weeks now. She is there for full care. She is beyond assisted living. I just had an issue with them, but she had been there two other times and I never had an issue. They are okay, but they don't have that many staff. The facility itself is clean. I like her room because it's two people in a room. She likes being in a room with another person. They have activities, but it's not like some other communities. They have moderate activities. She does physical therapy and occupational therapy there, too. They keep them up and going. The activity level is moderate, and there's nothing extra about it. However, they need to keep the family in the loop of what's going on with the patient because that's my issue with them. They also need more staff.

I toured Beaumont Commons, Dearborn. I thought it was an easy five stars. I know a resident that lives there. I toured it with him, and it was a community. I could see the association and the fellowship with the other residents. I thought it was nice. It's something that I was hoping that my sister could get into, but I don't know how that one is structured for finances. The staff members were definitely visible. They seemed to be very attentive to their responsibilities, and they seemed to be very available to the residents. I saw my friend's apartment, and some of the rooms. I was pleased with what I saw. They had their own movie theater. They had a little grocery store, gift shop, dining room, and a winery. They had quite a few things. I thought the food was very well prepared. The dining area was five-star hotel level. It was very well maintained.

My girlfriend is in Beaumont Commons Dearborn's independent living. I ate in the bistro and it was very, very good, better than a restaurant in the area. It was very spacious and open, and it was all clean, and there were no masks. The staff was helpful. They had very nice grounds and lots of trees and stuff, and a well-kept parking lot. Everything looked like it could have been very well-maintained. They had memory gardens and stuff outside, so there was plenty of room on the grounds, plenty of room in the common room, and the apartments. My girlfriend's apartment was very spacious and very nice. It was about 800 square feet and you did not feel cramped. I like that place. The staff seemed helpful and friendly, even though they were wearing masks. Unless I asked them to do something and they couldn't do it, they stayed out of my way, so I liked that. The food was very good. I had a chef's salad there and a few other little side things. They were all just excellent and fresh. The amenities I saw looked good to me, and they all looked first-rate.

Beaumont Commons - Dearborn is large and very nice, but I was shocked at the cost. The atmosphere is very good. The people are much older than me, and I'm 68. It has independent living and assisted living. My girlfriend is in the assisted living. They have a small bank, a small worship center, a dining room and a bistro, an exercise room, a little shop, underground parking, a walking trail, and nice outdoor camp. I looked at a nice one-bedroom apartment.

Oakwood Common is beautiful, welcoming, and it's in the right location for us. The way they handle the food and the food itself is really good. They have a bistro and a little bar.
