We chose East Ridge at Cutler Bay. We know several people who already live there. The staff is very nice. The accommodations are wonderful. Their list of activities is full. They had a lot of activities the day we visited. They provided breakfast. It's spacious, the people are welcoming and very helpful. They have outside personnel that present concerts. They have a social hour on Friday nights. The people from the outside can come as well. The food is fantastic. They do have food buffets as well as dessert cafes or you can order off the menu of things that are available anytime because they provide breakfast with your monthly fee. Then, you can choose between lunch or dinner for $29 a day. They had an exercise area with a personal trainer.

I visited this facility

I visited the East Ridge at Cutler Bay. If I could afford it, I would have put my mom there years ago. That place is A-plus. They have different levels of care. They have independent living as well as assisted living and so forth. It's been in my community for decades. The facility has beautifully maintained roads and homes. Some of the residents have individual homes. There is a newer area where there are apartments. They have multiple events and activities that keep the active seniors involved socially. They have a dining room with good food. They even have a thrift store and people from the community are allowed to come in, once a week they open it up. The proceeds go to a school group or somebody that could benefit from the proceedings. They have an activities director that looks after the physical needs with workouts. She does personal training. She will even go to people that need rehab and make sure that they're getting attention. There are games and special events that have been set up that bring the community of seniors together. Some of them are not typical holidays, but they come up with their own special things. She did an Indian event where there were dancers dressed up in traditional Indian costume. There was a block party that was arranged where they had some food trucks and games and that brought out a lot of people and got them outside interacting with others. There's a lot of stimulation and a lot of good things that happen at East Ridge. I've eaten there twice.

Have lived here for 12 years and am healthy, happy and grateful for the social life, attentive staff, amazing Residents, beautiful campus with flowering trees, landscaping and always able to enjoy nature. There are many daily activities from exercise classes to playing games, watching movies, listening to live music, enjoyable dining and a variety of entertainment.

I went to see East Ridge at Cutler Bay and it's excellent. The only thing is that they have unfurnished apartments but they have all kinds of activities, physical therapy, and meal planning. I liked that everybody I spoke to speaks English. We toured the assisted living but they also have independent living apartments. It's $6000-$7000 a month. The apartments are unfurnished, they have a demo that you furnish it, but they said they can come up with furniture if you're not able to. They were really good. I talked to other patients who were there and asked them about the service, the food, and stuff. It's one of the nice ones. I did not inquire about the staff's medical knowledge or anything like that or license, but they seem to be very kind. I tried their food. They were a little light on kosher food, but that's okay. They have a recreation room and it's beautiful.

East Ridge at Cutler Bay was very upscale, very accommodating, and very comfortable. It had pleasant surroundings. I was there for therapy for a leg wound. I spent two weeks there for rehab. The staff was very attentive, kind and seemed to be interested in me personally. I was on a restricted diet, so it's hard to make food taste good when you have no salt and no sugar. They had a director of activities who visited me daily and brought me magazines and offered to play various board games with me. She was very congenial and very pleasant. I was fully covered by my insurance. I don't know what the cost was, but it looks to me like they give a good value for whatever they charge. I was impressed. I just got out two days ago.

East Ridge at Cutler Bay was beyond fabulous. It's expensive, but it's unbelievable. It's a true community. They have townhouses, a woodshop for the men, and a nursery where you can actually go and take classes or go and plant your herbs. It's wonderful. You can ride your golf cart around, they have a swimming pool, and everything is taken care of. The young girl who toured us was great. They have a beautiful dining room, a big banquet hall, a bistro, and a restaurant. You can order and have the food sent to your room, or you can come and pick it up, whatever you want. If I had to retire and live somewhere, that's where I would go.

The staff at East Ridge at Cutler Bay was very nice. It was a little expensive for my grand aunt though. There weren't very many people working around there because of the COVID situation, but the people who attended to us were nice. She didn't like the room, but she liked the apartment with the kitchen and living room. She didn't like just the room because it was too small and if she wanted to go out into the middle of the apartments, which is like a little patio, she'd have to go through the room. My grand aunt didn't like the place. They can provide one meal a day, but for the rest, she'd have to make her own food. To me, the facility was OK.

My review is based upon residing at Eastridge foreseen years in independent living. Two key things impressed me in my initial evaluation --the 76 acres of impressive landscaping and being able to live independently in one of the 220 one story units. Physically I have lost 10 pounds and am in better physical shape than when I came. My social life is much improved - I am coordinating events I like - monthly vet luncheons, daily swims, monthly current event programs, weekly Bocce, frisbie throwing and dart throwing. With 350 independent residents it does not take long to find excellent friends. There is no better option for me at the age of 86 than Eastridge. Gary S.

My parents has moved into East Ridge at Cutler Bay. They are fabulous. They've gone in as independent living, but it's a step-up and if they have to go to full assisted living, they can do that. The staff is very caring, very nice, and take good care of them. The personnel are very friendly and very caring. The little villa that they're in is adorable, and it's something that they're enjoying.

East Ridge is excellent and expensive at more than $5,000 a month. It has a very friendly atmosphere with two or three floors, and they also have private residents for couples. The staff is friendly and very responsive. The amenities were very nice, and I think I saw transportation in the complex. However, they take neither Medicare nor Medicaid.

My mom is in the assisted living at East Ridge at Cutler Bay. They have bingo and parties for the elderly citizens every week. There is a garden outside where residents can sit and enjoy. There is an interaction center whereby they have the residents in a large room and they play board games and show them how to use computers. They offer three meals a day. The staff members are lovely, very attentive, and excellent. They come in and give her showers. The food is lovely too. The cleanliness is excellent.

I'm going to move into East Ridge at Cutler Bay. They have various activities, they have a bus that goes to the store, the pharmacy, the banks, and lots of buses going to various activities within the community. It could be anything from a comedy show, to the opera, and whatever cultural events we have. They have singing once a week, there's a lady who quilts, and I quilt. Your family can come down for a reunion at no extra cost, as far as there's space. All you have to do is reserve the room and the kitchen. There's a swimming pool, they have a dog park, and you can have pets. The staff members are very thorough, very down to earth, speak English, and are very nice. I've been there three times, I've had meals there twice, and they are excellent.

Eastridge is a beautiful facility. It is clean, well decorated, grounds are immaculate, picture perfect. But if you are looking for medical care, go someplace else. There is very little staff and the one that is there is clueless. The physical rehab is worthless. The staff that is there spends their time watching Nexflicks on their device or just sit around and it would probably take a 5 alarm fire to get them off their behinds. When a patient presses the call button, good luck with that. The resident doctor is a ghost and the nurses are way under staffed for the amount of money they charge. If you just need to find a place to stay and cook for you this is it, but any medical care, stay away.

East Ridge Retirement Village was clean and very friendly, knowledgeable, and able to answer my questions. The patients were also clean which is very important, and I didn't see anybody just hanging out in the hallway. They have special memory care activities, and when I was there, they were doing a big puzzle which was nice. Pricing is a little expensive.

East Ridge Retirement Village is top of the line, the rooms are beautiful, and they’re brand new and spacious. The care is fantastic, and the atmosphere is like they’re in a top hotel. The staff is very good and very professional. They just need to improve on the number of staff.

East Ridge at Cutler Bay is very old. They are beginning to take care of patients with Alzheimer's. They have nice cottages for independent living, and the next step is for those who are incapacitated. It has a gate, it's beautiful, and it has trees. They offer a lot of activities. They have whatever you need like shopping, and the facilities to live an independent life.

If you are retired, healthy, and capable of independent living, this community is very good. However, if you require assisted living - be careful. The aides and nurses are understaffed and often cannot keep appointments or aid in "activities of daily living" on a timely basis.

My visit at East Ridge was excellent. It was a first class facility. Their rooms were excellent. Their staff were very helpful and cheerful. We consider going there myself one day. I would recommend this facility. It's expensive but it's of high quality.

we found the place to be very clean and grounds well taken care off the rooms were a bit small and we did notice a few things here and there that we did like the facility is not very close to a hospital and after we compared the detailed Medicare data for East Ridge Retirement Village with other senior care providers in Florida. When compare to the state averages for staffing, the number of registered nurse (RN) hours per resident per day is about average; Certified nursing assistant (CNA) hours per resident per day is about average; The number of licensed practical (LPN) or vocational nurse hours per resident per day is about average. The most recent health inspection was on 10/14/2010. When comparing the health condition of long stay residents to other nursing homes in Florida, it is less likely for residents to have their ability to move around their room get worse and to lose too much weight for high-risk residents to have pressure sores.

The East Ridge Retirement Village assisted living facility in Miami was one of the places we saw while looking in the region for my friend's mother. We were immediately taken by the lovely exterior and grounds, which looked more like a resort. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, with fountains, parkways and even exotic birds. The tree-lined walkways were easy to navigate. This exercise facility had ample rooms, including an outdoor pool so that it had a relaxing spa feel. They also have daily yoga and aerobics exercise classes and golf. The residents may also safely navigate the lovely grounds for exercise with adequate supervision. The living spaces were generous, with several different floor plans to choose from. There were lovely garden apartments near the pool area, plus larger units available. The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The many planned activities feature everything from book readings and discussions to arts and crafts. The residents are taken to many interesting events in Miami -- which is known for its rich cultural diversity. It is easy for residents to be active in the community and provide support to local organizations to enrich their lives and the lives of others. This is a full service community with exceptional staff -- and we could see how any senior would really enjoy living in this extraordinary environment.
