Reviews of Benedictine Manor

I visited this facility
I visited the facility and found it very attractive. They are located on over 200 acres with their own fishing lake with bass, brim, crappie, and other small fish my great grandchildren will enjoy catching. My visitors will stay in their own room at a cost of $30 the first night, and $15 for the next 4 nights. -- 3 meals a day included. They invited me to lunch. By the time it was over, I felt I had lived there forever. Most facilities consider themselves a small community -- they think they are a large family. My rent will be $1000 a month less than any similar facility between Cullman, AL and Nashville, TN. They are strictly independent living.

Benedictine Manor was wonderful. Everybody was so friendly. They were really nice. I could not wait to get there. The apartment was enough for me, and it was very clean. It sunny and had a lot of light. They had lunch for me, and I ate with other people. The food was good. I liked it. The people looked happy. Everybody was talking to everybody. It was just like family.

I am/was a resident of this facility
I live in Benedictine Manor. The staff is wonderful, helpful, and accomodating. They meet all my needs and more. The meals are delicious. I joined the knitting group. They also have a Weight Watchers group, Bible studies, and exercises in the morning. The room is spacious. The storage space is great in two big closets. The bathroom is lovely and has a walk-in shower. It’s very nice.

I am very disappointed you do not allow pets, as they are so great for the elderly - it is known that having a pet helps older people to live longer. Your facility is very close to my son where I would really love to live and be close to my grand children. Your facility also seems perfect for me otherwise.
Our residents themselves voted not to have pets allowed in the facility, it is not a policy that the administration has imposed on the residents. The major reasons given were: fear of tripping over someone else's pet and allergies. Thank you for your input.
