I visited this facility

Woodhaven Village was gorgeous. Love it. However, they require the food plan, which means that we're looking more towards $4,000 a month. My mother weighs 100 pounds. She does not eat breakfast. Everything we looked at with the full meal plan was not anything we were even remotely interested in. Woodhaven is opening up a 55 plus, but they are requiring a one-year lease, and we would like something a little bit more flexible. The amenities are gorgeous, beautiful, and in a very well kept area.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I have friends that live at Woodhaven Village, but I don't think it would be the place for my son. It's a very nice place. They go to dinner at night and it's rather formal. They can't go in a T-shirt and blue jeans. It's for the more sophisticated adults, I would call it. They play Bridge, and they're quiet. The common areas were pretty, and I thought the apartments were fine.

I visited this facility

I went to look at Woodhaven Village. They gave me a printout of the food choices that they had that week. They had cottages that were away from the main building which had a garage and a yard. You had to walk over to the main building for any activities or dinner or food. They didn't have a swimming pool, but they're getting ready to build one. Everything is very nice and well kept up.

I visited this facility

I've been to Woodhaven Village a few times and was able to check on their assisted living and memory care. My mom has not moved in yet, but she will be there this May. The reason we picked this place was the residents were out and about, and they were happy. Other places seemed to be very hospital-like and too formal, but this really felt homey. It felt like you're in a nice hotel. The person who toured us answered every single question we had and even brought up stuff that I didn't even think to ask. She was extraordinarily helpful. I had zero concerns walking into it. We were able to look at the menu too, and they had a really nice and diverse menu. It was kind of a restaurant style, and they change the menu up every day. I don't remember exactly what was on it, but my mother was really happy with it. They have plenty of different rooms. There's always something going on there. It seemed to be a very active location, and there's a lot of good stuff. It's a beautiful place.

Woodhaven Villages was a wonderful place for my parents.. my complaint is that as long as you are paying for their services the upper management (Steven) is nice but (as in the letter I sent to him) as soon as your love one passes "the Family" part of Woodhaven ceases. I sent him a letter explaining how the family feels when he did not acknowledge my mom's passing and got no response from him or his boss. So it just makes you feel as long as you are paying them the big bucks you are Family. As I said in the letter to Steven, you should be caring to the family because it might not be to far down the road they could be a client and right now I don't feel the same as I did when I wrote the review in 2019. If he would have acknowledged my letter this would not be posted on here.

I had heard about Woodhaven from a family member who had a loved one there in Memory Care. I went to see for myself. I found the staff to be kind, caring, and helpful. The rooms are nicely sized with private bathrooms. The food is not gourmet, but good, and my father was very pleased, especially with the desserts! The staff also keeps the residents busy playing Bingo, painting, puzzles, watching television, etc. There are also Special Programs for residents to enjoy, such as magicians, musicians, and other artists for the residents to enjoy. I am very glad that my father was able to spend his final days there.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My parents moved in Woodhaven 2 1/2 years ago. I lost my dad in April. Woodhaven was so loving during this stressful time. They were so helpful moving my Mom to Whispering Pines following his passing and through all the ups and downs in her health the staff has loved and cared for her so dearly. I could not ask for any better care and love shown to her and me. I appreciate all the support and attention she receives from all the staff and Devotion Hospice. I could not pick a better place for my Mother and I have recommended Woodhaven to several of my friends.

Recent change of management. They promise or state many things they could do - but often had to remind them of care giver responsibilities. Seem to be very understaffed in Memory Care and Assisted Living. Texas does not regulate the number of caregiver to resident ratio. Most of the caregiver were good, but there are several lazy ones. they are expensive and if you are paying that much - you should definately get what you pay for. Food is not good. Having a "chef" does not equal chef style meals. The "pot roast" looks like dog food as did many "casseroles".

I visited this facility

Woodhaven Village was very nice but expensive. They have independent living and quite a few activities. The building was very new and had a movie room. It was big, the independent living was three stories, and the assisted living and memory care were all on one story and we liked that.

My mom moved into Woodhaven Village Senior Living, and it's a really nice place. The food is really good, because they're serving only 37 residents. They have homemade cakes every day. The staff is wonderful, and the manager added two extra people just to help mom stay in independent living. They have a full gym upstairs, and a PT guy on staff. She has a 1-bedroom, with a walk-in shower, and a nice patio with flowers and everything.
