We visited Legacy Village of Castle Pines. I liked the staff. The lady who took us around was very considerate, very open, and took her time with us. What I liked about the apartments was they were quite a bit larger than the ones at the other facility that we've visited and they had balconies and patios. And they seemed to have more closet space. The main floor overlooks a lower level like you were on a loft or something. It looks down on the cafeteria level, and then they have a courtyard where the balconies overlook the courtyard. They don't have the mountain view, which means a lot to us. But it's a very nice forest area. They had a library, a workout room, and a pool table.

We toured Legacy Village of Castle Pines. All I can say is they were wonderful. They're five stars all the way, but at the end of the day, they didn't have a room for my mom or I would have gone with them. The facility was beautiful. The people that tried to help me were fantastic. It just didn't work out in the end, but all of those things were good. The staff who gave the tour was very on top of everything. She was just very kind and very helpful. She's tried very hard to help us make it work there. She couldn't have been better. The rooms were pretty standard floor plans for assisted living, but they were nice. They had a kitchenette in them. It was adequate. We walked through the dining area, and it was very nice. There was lots of light and lots of windows. They were friendly. They had lots of activities. They had way more than my mom would be able to participate in. They had bingo, they had an audiobook club as well as a regular book club, and they had lots of outings. I don't remember all their activities, but it was an impressive list.

The tour at Legacy Village of Castle Pines was great. They were friendly. They let me talk to residents. I asked residents, "What's the best thing about this place?" and they quickly both said that the staff is just amazing. The rooms were newer. I think the facility is only about five years old, so it's more modern, but it's fully equipped. They're more expensive. They were clean. The dining rooms looked great. They gave me a schedule of activities for the month or the week. They have a very good movie theater there. They have bingo and happy hours. They bring in somebody from the outside. It's a very nice facility.

My wife was at Legacy Village of Castle Pines. She was there for two weeks while I was in the hospital. It was my only contact with them, and the personnel there were outstanding. The layout was very nice. My impression of it was that the rooms were nicely furnished, clean, and very well cared for. My contact with the staff was just outstanding. Everyone was friendly. The residents that I ran into were very friendly and very complimentary of that facility. I only had food in the memory care, and it was OK. It was not great, but it was OK. There was an exercise area. They were doing bingo when I walked by. The director there was wonderful.

I saw both independent and assisted living facilities at Legacy Village of Castle Pines. It's brand new and beautifully laid out. I really liked the separation of the independent living apartments and the assisted living. I'm assisted living, but I appreciate their paradigm of separating some activities between assisted living and independent. That was a positive for me. However, I decided on the other place because there were more things around. This facility was a rather isolated building. The staff was very helpful and very nice. The food was very nice. I very much appreciated the assisted living people in a separate dining room. They also had a memory care that was another closed area. I liked the separation of the three aspects of aging in place. I wasn't there long enough to observe any activities. I was there to tour the building. Underground parking was a big plus, and there's availability of more than one washing machine and one dryer on each floor. Other than the dining room service, I didn't meet any staff, and they were very nice. We had one meal there, and it was very nice. The apartments were a little bit smaller than I had anticipated.

My mother, who is 93, fell and broke her hip. recently. After rehabilitation, we had to place her in a new living environment asap, since she could no longer live alone. This is really stressful on family! I researched quickly and extensively all her options for Assisted Living. Legacy is FIVE STAR in EVERY REGARD! I know my mom is safe in her beautiful 1 bedroom apt., being taken care of by wonderful caregivers, and Legacy is only about 2 years old. So everything is almost brand new. I would not hesitate to place a parent in Legacy. Thanks Legacy! :)
