I am a friend or relative of a resident
I’ve visited my father for thirty years at Imperial Harbor. He was there with my mother most of the time, but she died about ten years ago. There he has his own kitchen. He has two bathrooms, three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a small family room; every home’s a little bit different, but everybody’s got their own stuff. It’s kept up, it’s not messy, but it is an older community so it doesn’t look fresh, sparkling, or brand new. Everybody does their own thing. It’s only once in a while that they have like a gathering in the clubhouse. I know that one time there was a very active program where they would put on plays and things like that, but that has gone down. There’s a pool, a clubhouse, and Saturday morning coffee twice a month. They also have a hotdog lunch where they can come and have lunch. It’s more limited than it used to be, but I couldn’t tell how much because my dad doesn't participate. If I would like to live in Florida, it wouldn’t bother me to move into it. He's ninety-five, getting on, and he’s done very well there.
