What I like best about Brookdale Eden Estates would be the interaction of the staff with the residents, like calling them by names when they see them and engaging them in a little bit of conversation with them. The layout of the complex itself was kind of like a spoke, and that was beneficial. The staff was exceptional. Even if the location works the best, it's just too large for Mother, and there is not enough light and brightness to it. It tends to be a little dark and I don't mean dark in the negative way because it's in the wooded area. It's older and not quite the tall windows and everything, and my mother loves being out of the doors and out in the sunshine.

I went on a tour at Brookdale Eden Estates, which was wonderful. That was a beautiful, beautiful place. I talked to a lot of other people, the places are just gorgeous, the assisted living. Just driving in, it was just so lush and pretty and very well-maintained. We went into the foyer, into the entrance, everybody was very welcoming even the patron and even the people that lived there. They would say, "Hello, how are you?" It was very friendly and they showed us a couple of places. It was at first just my husband and me, and we took my dad later and they showed us an upstairs room. It was very reasonable. I was like, Wow, and it was perfect. It had a little kitchen area, a little living area, a bath, and a walk-in shower. The whole place was very clean, it didn't smell or anything like that. The dining room was gorgeous. Her name was Peggy, she showed us a menu. You just had your choice of whatever, and if that's not what you wanted, they would make something for you. If you want breakfast for supper or if you just wanted a burger, they said they would make it for you. But everything was just very well maintained, everybody was so nice and welcoming, and the place that we looked at would have been perfect for him. The only thing was that he's not able to walk downstairs, so that made it a safety issue. So they were going to have to find a place downstairs because it was too obvious, like in case of evacuation or whatever. But other than that, thumbs up for Brookdale. The staff was wearing masks, the patrons or patients there, some were wearing masks and some not. But you could tell that they were aware of the COVID. They were always cleaning. I'd see cleaning people wandering, it didn't smell, and to me, that tells me that they kept it clean.

I really liked Brookdale Eden Estates. Peggy showed us around, and she was wonderful. The one drawback was my father couldn't age in place there. He would have to move if he got worse. The room was good, and it would've worked. It just wasn't 100% sure of what we were looking for. It was nice, and I liked all the amenities and everything they had. The room had a kitchenette, a microwave, and a little fridge. They had a lot of activities, different gathering places, things scheduled on the calendar, exercises, and arts and crafts.

The tour we did at Brookdale Eden Estates was very nice. The lady that showed us through was just lovely, and she's called me a couple of times to follow up. It's just that at this point we're not ready to move my mother. Everybody was very friendly and seemed very professional. I have not tried the food, but it looked very appetizing. I liked the way they had it setup where there's table service, I think that's really nice. It's very comfortable and very clean. I thought that the room they showed us was very nice. It seemed to be a good size for assisted living. They had two assisted living spaces available, one was about 550 sq ft and the other one was 600. I don't think they have a pool, but we saw the recreation room and it was nice and adequate.

Brookdale Eden Estates was my favorite; I really liked it. Everybody was very nice. Their apartment was the biggest one that I looked at. I really liked it because it had a full working kitchen and it was the only one that had that, which was good. The dining area was very nice, and the outdoor area was very nice too. The community seemed very active. It was a younger crowd than all the others, and they seemed very active, which was very nice. The place was clean and well maintained.

My father-in-law is moving into Brookdale Eden Estates. It seemed pretty nice, the people seemed nice to be around, and the staff also. They have many things to do besides staying in the room, and they have a really nice dining facility. The food was pretty good, I liked it, and they had different things on different days. There is a computer room, a weight room/ exercise room, they can watch TV as a group, play games, shoot pool, and they have a swimming pool. The staff was very accommodating, helpful, and they answered all your questions.

Brookdale Eden Estates was great. The staff was super helpful and supportive. The dining area looked pretty nice. They had a beehive of activities that you can tell that people were partaking in it. The place was really nicely decorated and laid out, clean and the entryway was pretty nice and upscale. There were some nice living areas and some very dedicated PT areas which is a nice thing to see. The staff who helped me was amazing.

My father is a resident there. They want you to believe that this is an awesome facility because it IS clean and the rooms are nice (one star), but the care they give the residents is sub-par. They welcomed him with big fanfare but don't regularly check on him; he had good relationships at the past facility where he was a resident and they all treated him so kindly. The food is good most of the time, so that is another reason for one of the stars. I don't believe they truly care about the residents. As another review states, it's COLD (adjective for uncaring). I hate to have him move again, but we're going to look for another place.

I am a resident of Brookdale. I have the care if I need it. If you go to the dining room and drink a glass of milk, you can have it. However, if you want to take it to your apartment, they will charge you a dollar. I just don't understand all the rules, and they do not have them in writing, so you cannot go back and look at the rules. It is clean and nice, but cold and uncaring. I have a two-bedroom apartment. The bathroom and the closets are very big and good. You don't feel cramped. I do not have any problem with the room nor the apartment that I live in. It is just cold and indifferent. The care that they give on the yard and keeping everything clean is great.

I was living over at Brookdale in Bedford for a while. I saw nothing wrong with the staff. They were good and really nice. You could ask them to help you do something and they would do it to the best of their ability. The food was varied. One time, the meal would be good, but the food was always overcooked; that could be just my taste, though. They didn’t have a swimming pool, but they did have a library, which was suitable. They were remodeling it at the time I was there. They had a really nice place upstairs, but the activities were very sparse.

Brookdale Eden Estates is an excellent place. My husband and I were very happy there although my husband had some issues with food and wanted to find better food in another facility but that’s just because he was so used to my home cooking. The facility is outstanding and the management is great.

Brookdale Eden Estates (formerly Emeritus at Eden Estates) was absolutely wonderful. My mother goes upstairs to a restaurant and orders her meals three times a day. It's more like an apartment complex than anything else. It's a really great place. They have studio apartments, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. They have transportation available, if they need to go to the store. They have a game night, movie night, activities you can do on grounds, and they have walking trails. As soon as I walk in, it has a happy atmosphere. She has a studio apartment, and they allow her to have her pets. I had lunch there a couple of times, and the food is really good. The staff is extremely nice. The director of the place went out of her way to help us to get her in there on our budget. They are really helpful and just really nice.

At Brookdale Eden Estates, they kind of mingled the retirement with the assisted living, and that is something we weren't looking for. It was very clean and a little older. It's nothing bad; it just wasn't for us.

It was a nice and clean facility. The staff were very nice and helpful; they were good to the residents and the visitors. In the dining area, they had a very pretty table cloth and cloth napkins; the food was good too.
