We found a place for my mom here in Anderson, and it is called Anderson Primrose. We love it, and it's perfect. We like everything about it. We visited both assisted and independent living. It's very comfortable. It has call buttons in every room of her apartment, there is a full kitchen where she can make her tea, and she can do her laundry, which she still does. Plus, I have two daughters and various other relatives who are a ten- to twenty-minute drive from there, so I can help her with that until she gets to the point where she needs more care. The staff is wonderful. She is great, and she has kept in constant contact with me. We're doing follow-ups just so we can stay on track with what they have available for the timeframe in which we're looking at moving my mom. They have an ice-cream parlor, there is a nice library, and it is all enclosed where she can just walk outside and there will be assistance if she needs it. It's just very comfortable and really cozy. Their dining area is beautiful, too.

My mother-in-law is living at Anderson Primrose. We did a tour in-person. We are just fairly new. The staff, I think they want to work there. I am quite impressed with the staff. They walk around with smiles on their faces, and you very seldom ever see that elsewhere. The apartment is very nice. The size is great for a single person, and the layout is fine. So far, she's content. They do have a walking trail, and she has not been out on it yet. Considering value for money I think everything is overrated.

My parents moved into Primrose Retirement Community of Anderson. It's a good place and everything is going well. It's very clean and they're well taken care of. My mom liked the bingo, they have movies, and there are get-together in what they call a pub. What's great is that they were able to take their two cats. They provide three meals a day, they also have 24-hour nursing care, they help with showering and any need that they have. If they have to go to their doctors' appointments, the community has a van that takes them. The staff is very friendly and very good in calling us if there's a problem.

Primrose was wonderful. They have a great facility. The main thing is they only have one level of care and that's assisted living. The people that I met on the tour were extremely friendly. There was a very wide range of activities offered on the activity calendar but I didn't witness any of them.
