Location: Olympia, Washington

Inspiration for this Nomination:

I nominated this individual as I am constantly bombarded with complements and praise of this particular individual and the care they provided. On several occasions I have received unsolicited calls from clients and clients family members that she works with sharing how much the value and appreciate all that Ginny does. She connected one of the individuals she cares for who was a Veteran Pilot of WW2 with another Veteran Pilot of WW2 that she knew out in the community. She has been able to get a client who refused to leave their house with other CAREGivers to regularly go and participate in exercise classes at our local community center. Ginny doesn't just talk the talk when it comes to helping our seniors remain independent and active, she walks the line and loves every minute of it.

Caregiver's Best Skills and Attributes:

This CAREGiver deserves the title Caring Champion as she goes out of her way to make sure clients are safe while making sure they feel emotionally an socially fulfilled. She shares her heart with her clients and in return they open up to her and the ideas she brings to the table which helps provide them with further life fulfillment. She is responsive when she is called to action last minute, she demonstrates through actions how valuable she feels her clients and senior friends are to the world and she is so positive while doing so.

Feedback About This Caregiver:

A direct quote (which is representative of all the other compliments I receive of Ginny) from one of her clients, which still chokes me up, was..."From day one, Ginny came in and took over. She saw what needed to be done what I couldn't do and did it without ever being told and without passing judgment of my inabilities or life preferences. She is the best caregiver I have ever worked with, do not change or get rid of Ginny."

More About This Caregiver:

I have learned a lot from this CAREGiver and I can say other CAREGivers have also learned from her. She has taught me to always be looking for available senior resources. Whether its free donation banks for durable medical equipment, or free concerts and activities she is always on the look out for ways to better our senior community members lives. Her years of experience and education has been shared with her co-workers as she often volunteers herself to instruct or shadow new CAREGivers on how to properly and proactively care for clients she has worked with in the past.

Ginny is someone to look up to because of the compassion and consideration she has for not only the clients she works with but the community she serves. Our agency is better because we have Ginny as a member of our team.
