I like that they have good staff. My father and mother are in a rural place. The caregivers seem to coming from farther away and they tend to call in more often than we would like.

I sometimes feel that younger people treat older people like they're slow or don't know what is going on, and my grandpa can feel that. His mind is sharp, but he's not a complainer. His one comment about the younger people is that they don't talk to him. It depends on which employee is here. With one, the care is outstanding. She goes above and beyond what is asked of her. I think what's lacking in the younger employees is their communication with elderly people in general.

It's hard to bring someone new into your family's life. They just need to accept the help. They have been very timely. They show up when they say they will. They are also very flexible.

A lot of times I would write out what needed to be done and I would tell them that this should be done and it wouldn't get done. I think the workers get burned out. It would take a high amount of interest to look around and see that something needs to get done and that we could work together to get it done, but that wouldn't happen. The owner is great and is very good to work with. She just hasn't been able to get as good of people as we would have liked. One caregiver has been good, but it just seems like she is struggling a little bit with how things are going too. She isn't coming on one of the days. I hope the owner can get more people to work better for her. I really respect her a lot.

My mom is resistant to the caregiver. She doesn't understand why she needs them. She hasn't taken full advantage of what they can do. She thinks of them as cleaners. I want her think of them as a personal assistant. They provide less burden on the family members. It would be nice to see a photo and a bio of the caregiver before they start.

We talked about itm and I don't know if they're still going to do it, but it'd help for them to make up weekly nutritious menus and grocery lists like they have in facilities where they post the menu for the week. I had a double hip replacement recently and was in no shape to help with meals. That's why an already developed meal plan would help. I like their staff, and I like their supervisor. They're timely, and some caregivers are better than others, but I especially appreciate the ones that really connect with my husband. He has Parkinson's and there are a couple of people that really help his quality of life.

Higher fees do not mean better service. Beware of this company. We got someone who did very little and complained all the time. I would never recommend this company to anyone,. Very militaristic.

The expense of Right at Home was too much. I'm in a wheelchair, and my loved one was on oxygen, so we needed the help from Right at Home. There was one caregiver who just really irritated me. She actually asked me if she could have a permanent position with me, and move into my downstairs room. She also ate a piece of cake of mine, and lied about it. She told me she was diabetic so she couldn't have eaten it, but her car was full of fast food wrappers.

We've tried Right at Home. On the first day, it just didn't work out. We didn't like the caregiver they selected and didn't give my mother any confidence to go any further. They made a good presentation, but you had to fill out all of these forms, and we didn't want to do that. It meant as protection for the agency, but we just didn't want to go through all of that hassle. It was too regimented and too corporate. They followed the rules and regulations, but I wouldn't recommend them to somebody because of all that corporate stuff that we went through. They should have less forms and select more professional caregivers.

What makes this Home Care Provider so unique is that RAH only provides the client with caregiver's that are suitable to their expectations. There has never been any hurt feelings or frustration if our loved one does not have a good rapport with a particular caregiver. RAH will find the RIGHT team for my Mother-In-Law. RAH has provided a nurturing, but empowering caregiving for our 84 year old Mother. The relief, security and open communication that RAH Menomonee Falls has provided our entire family is priceless. Poor communication, sends caregivers unprepared and not knowledgeable. Do not know how to us a bed pan, slide board etc. Do not call when new person is coming as requested. Do not prepare caregivers when coming for the first time. Do not know the needs of the patient. I have 2 good caregivers now, Samantha in the morning and Ken in the evening.
