They literally almost killed my father. Caregiver didn't know what a diabetic episode was, and thought giving him some soda would help after his blood sugar tested at over 300. Everything not tied down went missing at one point or another. Nothing ever got cleaned for him, and there were several times I would visit and there would be a pile of dishes in the sink. There is more than likely other companies to go with, so avoid this one at all costs. The management is non-existent, and it seems like the nurse in charge didn't know what she was doing a majority of the time, I'm not sure if they require an actual nursing degree for the position, but she was clueless. Most of the caregivers were nice that I met, but horribly trained and unprepared for what is expected out of someone who is in charge of caring for someone incapable of caring for themselves. The ones that weren't nice were legitimately scary, and we had to ask the company to never send them again because they made my father feel unsafe being alone with them.

My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's four years ago. She was a widow, our family was very small and I was an only child who lived and worked out of state. I learned about geriatric care managers from a friend who swore by them. I called several companies and made a decision to go with Serving Seniors after interviewing another care manager who told me that if she ever needed a care manager for herself, she would call Serving Seniors. I have never regretted my decision. Serving Seniors professionals proved to be well-versed and experienced in managing the care of Alzheimer’s sufferers. They provided me detailed information and helped me make major decisions like which senior community would best meet my mother’s needs. After a time, Serving Seniors professional Lisa became our primary manager and she helped us navigate the healthcare system and life in mom’s Continuing Care Retirement Community. Alzheimer’s is relentless and the demands on caretakers are never-ending and very often overwhelming. Lisa was there for us when it was time to move mom within the community as her level of care increased. Serving Senior’s professionals were truly second daughters for my mom. Once mom needed emergency hospitalization for a life-threatening condition unrelated to her Alzheimer’s and Lisa stayed with her in the emergency room all night until I could catch a flight and get there. I always knew Serving Seniors had my back and that mom was in good, capable hands. Lisa helped me with a host of decisions regarding mom’s daily care and comfort. Lisa managed mom’s doctors’ appointments, regularly confirmed her medication regiment, and took mom to medical appointments with her primary care physician and outside specialists as needed. She made sure to ask clarifying questions so I would fully understand doctor’s advice. Lisa kept excellent notes and sent me detailed updates after mom’s medical appointments. Lisa made sure everything related to mom’s care was documented and that I was in the loop. On more than one occasion, Lisa caught inadvertent discrepancies in mom’s medication regiment. Lisa was attuned to my mom’s needs and, as another reviewer noted, regularly made helpful suggestions to make sure mom was comfortable and safe. Lisa treated my mom with such loving care and even massaged her feet and hands which mom loved. Mom recently died peacefully in her sleep and I am at ease knowing I got her the best care I could and that the quality of her life during her last years was so much better than I could have imagined. There is no doubt in my mind that I could not have marshaled the resources or made the difficult decisions without the help of Serving Seniors. I highly recommend Serving Seniors to anyone charged with the care of an elderly loved one.

I have been a client of Relevar since 2011 getting 24-hour care. I really like the care they provide. The caregivers are very good, and their nursing staff is awesome.

My mother is a client of Serving Seniors for Geriatric Care Management services. I live out of town, so having a compassionate, qualified and highly professional care manager in town is very important to us. My mother and I have been extremely pleased with Serving Seniors, and especially with Lisa, who is my mother's geriatric care manager. Lisa is extremely competent and very professional. She manages my mother's doctors appointments and medical care, transports her to and from appointments, and attends the appointments with my mother to listen, take notes and ask questions. I think of her as my mother's on-site advocate. She makes helpful suggestions and coordinates very well with other care givers who assist my mother. Lisa always sends detailed updates after medical appointments, or anytime they're necessary, with any medical news and other issues or questions. She is very good at independently making helpful suggestions. My mother and I are very happy with Serving Seniors and especially with Lisa.

We just finished a run of 10 months with Relevar caregivers working with my mother, who was on Hospice care. It was a complicated medical situation, and we really appreciated the way Relevar personalized the care for Mom. They were responsive, flexible, and compassionate in their approach. Any time we asked for adjustments they worked very hard to quickly make the changes needed. On several occasions individuals went above and beyond the scope of what was expected in order to do something extraordinary and selfless. Relevar was also a terrific partner and complement to our Hospice service. There is a lot of coordination involved in a relationship like that, and the team at Relevar worked hard to make sure that Hospice recommendations were communicated effectively to the caregivers, and also gave helpful feedback to Hospice about what the day-to-day care of Mom entailed. We would recommend Relevar without reservation to anyone needing a top-notch in-home care provider.

I feel the quality of service I get is excellent. Karen always call before she gets to my home. She is always on time. She is pleasant to talk with. I enjoy her visits.
