My mom is bedridden and she needs their help. The last few weeks with our regular caregivers is good. One will do the job she has to do, and the other is really good. The regular caregivers are reliable and show up on time. The issue is that the caregivers are very flaky. The regular caregiver is out this week, and they arranged someone to come out and no one showed up. They call in at the last minute.

I live out of town, so BrightStar is an extension of our family going into my mom's facility. They take her outside of the facility and do the things we would do with her. They are very flexible and work with my family's needs. Sometimes, we need caregivers more often, and they're easy to work with. They communicate well with their employees.

Right now, they are doing very minimal service. I only have one person coming and helping. We have more fun talking, but she does not give the care that we have asked her to give. The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and pleasant.

I feel that the caregivers look at their job like something they have to do instead of wanting to do it. The caregivers are more geared to care for the elderly than care for my young son. The caregivers watch my son, but they need to be more fun and engaging. I think the company is more geared toward elderly care than child care. The company needs to be able to change their thinking when caring for a child versus caring for the elderly. Other companies have sent caregivers who bring games and activities for my child to do.
