My brother is a client n recovering from brain surgery/cancer. His PT-Felisha is wonderful!! But been trying to his home aid n DME since Nov. DME orders were turned asap but Brightstar lost the orders. I had to look up supplier list n get the fax # for them. He's in desperate need of the DME requested (I am disabled myself n physically limited). It's been a month n still no DME !!! Rescheduled my Dr's appt for his aids 1st visit, which never showed up nor did we get a phone call. I had to call to find out where the was. Was the Aid called in n no one available to go till sometime later in the wk. We were originally told by the home aid assessment person that if the aid called in another would be sent out as a replacement. My brother is fixing to cancel everything with Brightstar n go with another. I am constantly on the phone with these people almost everyday.

The provider could have been more self-motivated to see what his needs are and be more aware of his needs. We had to tell them all the time of what he needed. We made a list, and they ignored it. They could educate their caregivers better on what the patients are dealing with.

We are both disabled and it was hard for me to take care of my loved one. They were able to take care of them, massage their legs, put on their wraps, and take them on walks. Unless you have two hours of things for them to do, then don't use them. The service is really good.

The first caregiver that came in did not know the expected tasks. They were obviously not briefed and didn't offer to do anything even though we went over everything with the owner. It's a good service, but the providers differ. The caregivers are supposed to put my loved one down to bed and do light housekeeping.

I had them after a surgery. They were to watch over me while I slept, and when I woke up she had not been dozing. She checked in on me and when I got up she steadied me. When I got up none of my money or medications were missing so you can actually trust these people and that is worth more to me than anything else. She was there to watch over me while I slept to make sure that I would be alright and I felt comfortable going to sleep while she was there. She did not keep me awake with a T.V. or by leaving a light on to read. Instead, she had a dim reading light to read her book all night once I fell asleep.
