I vistited the Vida Senior Care Center in St. George and interviewed the staff and owners to decide if it was suitable for my Grandfather after my Grandmother passed away. It is located at 50 E. 100 S. Ste 102 inSt. George Utah, and was a very pleasant place to visit. The first thing I noticed while visiting this location was the clean smell. I have been to many senior health care facilities, either to visit my family members who are nurses working there, or to visit family members staying there and it is a common problem within these facilities to keep them smelling and looking fresh and clean. The building was well lit, warm and inviting, and the staff was kind to my Grandfather which was something he needed after losing his wife of 60 years. What was a sad time in my Grandfathers life was made much more bearable with such a kind and welcoming home to go to. The visiting hours were also very accomidating so that we were free to visit him anytime we needed to, or that he needed us. We decided to have him stay there and it seemed to fit him well. He had been living at home alone once his wife passed, and his house had become dark and dirty. Living with so many other cheerful people in such a bright sterile environment seemed to really lift his spirits. He went from openly telling us that he was ready to join my Grandma in heaven to wanting to stay here to spend time with us and the new friends he met at the Vida Senior Center. I can't say enough about this facility, it is well run and well worth the money.
