It's not a time frame where I can see what's going on. They are good about calling me to see if the aide is going to be late. I don't know what she's doing during that time. I left a notebook asking the aides to leave notes down and she doesn't. I know they are doing something right, but I don't have a handle on what's going on. I would like a communication on how my mom is doing and what is going on.

Eileen and Gregg spent a considerable amount of time not only answering my many questions and addressing my many concerns but also trying to get to know my and my husband’s needs so they could find the right aides. We needed 24/7 and decided that the best arrangement for us was to have one aide for four days and another for three. Dorothy met us when we came home from the hospital. She knew immediately what to do and did everything in a professional and efficient manner. As the days went on I found her to not only be kind, knowledgeable, and dedicated but also concerned about our entire family. The first weekend (the three day shift) was not as successful. The aide did not meet our needs. A call to Gregg on Monday was handled in the best possible way. He did not offer excuses or try to encourage me to try another weekend. He immediately (didn’t even wait for me to list all my complaints) said not to worry he would send someone else the following weekend and he did. Jean was just as perfect as Dorothy. Not only was I pleased with both Dorothy and Jean, but more importantly my husband was. In addition to Dorothy and Jean, Tina, the nurse who was assigned to my husband, was an extremely caring and competent professional. She not only came to examine my husband and to provide support to Dorothy and Jean but also to me. When we were unable to get hospice to come, Tina came on short notice to help us. I would definitely recommend Right at Home.

Hi everyone who is looking for care for an elderly loved one. I recently needed a caregiver for my 97 year old Mom. I needed a compassionate women to take my Mom to my daighter/ her grandaughters wedding. She needed to be picked up at a certain time and brought to the wedding. She needed to stay with and take care of my mom throughout the entire wedding and then bring her home and see that she is taken care of. I used Right at Home agancy in Plainview. I just cant say enough about the care. They sent a women who was just perfect for the job and my Mom was as happy as can be. I will reccomend this agency to everyone I know.

And Angele has a way of anticipating my Dad's needs and kindly offering help in ways that honor his dignity. Best of all, Right At Home functions as a true and cohesive team. Their schedulers, including Tiffany have answered and returned our calls, even on weekends. A very committed couple Gregg and Ilene (or Eileen) run this agency with both heart and head. It's clearly more than a business for them. You can feel a real sense of pride, caring, and giving back to the community in a way that is not so easy to find. The leaders of the agency roll up their sleeves and partner with you. Over the course of about 15 months (since around April 2017), Right At Home has consistently impressed both me and my brother. And we both live on the West Coast (coming in for visits every 6 weeks). For any family on Long Island considering Right At Home Suffolk, I heartily recommend this agency. If you need extra care for your loved one this is a very good company. I used their companion services for a few years up until the day Dad passed. The companions that were assigned to Dad were: Dwaine, Stephen, Folake, Seun, Michael & Jean. Dad really didn't like to be alone for any length of time so we had 2 shifts (12 hours each shift) otherwise he would be very anxious and frightened at times. They were able to lift his spirits. As his health declined these companions adapted accordingly and were wonderful at making sure Dad was very safe and comfortable..

There was a caregiver by the name of Shaundra that was constantly telling me that there were so many things that she didn't do which was pretty much a good part of her conversation. I could have done without Shaundra's interruption of how she absolutely doesn't like cats and would never clean the litter box which is a very personal thing. Apart from that she was alright. Most of the caregivers were really pleasant, and I have no complaints about them.

The caregivers were only here four hours a day to give my wife a shower, get her dressed, and bring her down stairs for breakfast. I used Right at Home for about a month, and the staff was absolutely wonderful, compatible, and great. It’s a family-oriented business, and they were absolutely amazing. The scheduling was good; I worked overnight, so the accommodations to be able to talk to me at certain hours were actually wonderful. They were there when I needed them.

We did use Right at Home for one visit, but the gentleman who came was from Queens, and he said that he didn't think he could come unless it was at least eight hours. I haven't used anyone else yet as I am managing on my own, but at some point, I would probably call them back when I need them for more than eight hours, and I might also try some other agencies. I basically just need it for respite because I am the primary caretaker, and I need to get away every now and then, so that is the whole issue. I had him for four hours; my original plan was to have him overnight. In some aspects, he seemed very good, while at other aspects, he seemed a little young and inexperienced, so we weren't 100 percent comfortable, but that was not the primary reason. He was OK being a man, but I don't know if my husband would have been that comfortable having him, and it was just a personal thing. But Right at Home was fine. I really have no complaints. It is just difficult to find the right fit. Everything was on the up and up; there were really no problems. The only thing I would have liked -- which I didn't get -- was I had to sign a number of papers ,and I did not receive any copies, which I think it would have been nice for them to at least mail me some copies. I got no copies of any of the documents that I signed; that is my only complaint.

I had a wonderful experience with this company and the specific caregiver who came to my home. I needed someone to help after major back surgery. Both the company and caregiver were very professional, responsible, and respectful. I appreciated the occasional check-ins by the owner to make sure everything was going well. From the initial consultation to the final follow-up, everything was clear and organized. My caregiver was kind, friendly, sympathetic, and thoughtful. She anticipated what I needed before I even knew it. She was trustworthy, honest, and reliable, and worked hard while she was here. She went above and beyond to be helpful. My family was referred to Right at Home in Plainview, NY when my mother was in an assisted living community. Her health had declined and it became necessary for her to have a caretaker around the clock. Gregg and Eileen had a caretaker in place that very first day. My mother was also under hospice care, who covered 20 hours a week. There were days that the hospice caretaker did not show up for mom. But with a phone call to Right at Home, they always came through to have someone there ASAP. As mom’s health declined and her needs were re-evaluated, Right at Home always adjusted their care-giving to accommodate those spiraling needs. Gregg was there every time there was a new caregiver. He made sure he was there to introduce them to mom. Much care was also given to match the caregiver’s personality to moms. It is evident how compassionate Gregg and Eileen are, not only to the person they are caring for, but the family members as well. I knew Mom felt she was being well taken care of by their caretakers because in her last days, she thanked us for taking such good care of her. That is a testimony to Right at Home. I highly recommend Right at Home Nassau Suffolk to anyone who is put in this type of situation. My family and I were able to sleep at night knowing that we made the right decision to allow Gregg and Eileen to place responsible, compassionate, caring people with mom.
