Having someone who was there routinely and long-term. I wanted them to come Saturdays and Sundays so she did not have to get used to too many people. I would recommend them. I often had to call to find out who was actually on the schedule. They had difficulties getting it scheduled for that day or that weekend. I had to know ahead of time so I had to call them.

The biggest problem is their computer system. They have to get on my wireless network, which messes things up. They have no other way to make notes or clock in other than getting on my WiFi network.

There were times when the caregiver did what she was actually supposed to do and tried to engage mom, and those times did help us. Other times she really wouldn't do too much. It was different each time. The whole point was to free up some of my time. They need to speak with their employees about doing what their job description is. If you are there to sit and engage the client, you need to be doing that.

They just blended right in, except the physical therapist who was a little angry because my shoulder was out of place. She couldn't touch me. I think her name was Henrietta K. I had good service, so if a friend was looking into it, I would explain to them how much it cost. If they can afford it, I would say yes. I have one girl, Lacresia, who, even though she isn't working for me anymore, still comes by. We go shopping sometimes, and we became friends.

I have a very difficult problem being an alpha 1 patient, I need my medication to arrive on time, and there have been nurses from bright star that were not entirely trained to handle the kind of issues that I have, but the nurse that I have now in exceptional on all counts. I have never had any problems with billing or management, they are always very responsive.

If our regular girl is not around, it's difficult to find a replacement. The majority of the time, we haven't gotten one, but when we do, the girls are good.

They should have been on top of their stuff. I got criticized for not calling the office directly to complain about the services. They started off well for the first few weeks. After that, they became very lazy and were more concerned about playing on the computer and smart phones than doing the actual work. When they did the laundry, they left our clothes in the washer and dryer for two or three days before we realized that our clothes were missing.

It was difficult and very stressful. They can be a little bit more sympathetic and empathetic. They wouldn't talk with me even though I was the power of attorney. There was a lot of animosity concerning the stress level. I felt like they weren't a very good business group. Their care was inconsistent, and they would say that they would only deal with my loved one and not with me. He was wheelchair-bound and they would call last minute saying that they couldn't send anyone so he would have to fend for himself.

I am not getting the care that I thought I would be getting. My loved one is totally dependent. They need to be on top of their responsibilities. When I see that my loved one hasn't drank any water, that's not okay. They could communicate with me better. If I want something scheduled, I would like to know it is scheduled instead of wondering all night if someone will be coming.

For me, it's doing something that I can't do, which is having somebody go over there and do some things that she needs to be done. They are saving a lot of trouble for me. We are having a bit of an issue with some of the people coming out. We are paying for an hour, so I expect them to be here for at least forty-five minutes.
