Hired Right at Home for my mother who is in a senior living facility memory care to provide extra services. They were never able to provide consistent caregivers. Always had someone different everyday so my mother was never comfortable with the care givers. As family member received no feedback on what actual services were provided or how the days went. It became more aggravating than helpful so no longer use them. Sales did a good job of telling me what I wanted to hear but never came through with what they promised. Much wasted time and money working with them.

The agency listened to me about certain caretakers that don't work with me versus the ones that work with me. I don't feel uncomfortable expressing that and they understand where the patient is coming from. I like the personal touch; they get to know what the client needs and focus the care based on that.

Out of the gate it was really difficult because we kept getting different people who were late and didn't show up, and then we got someone good, and we lost her. So, we are back at the beginning again, trying to get someone locked in. They need a higher skill level of CNA's.

They're outstanding. When the client finally got a Right at Home individual caregiver that he could really relate to and depend on, it's been phenomenal. On walks, the caregiver takes the client outside and lets him walk for a period of time. He is very careful with the client and always has a wheelchair on these walks in case he gets tired. It's exceptional. There is absolutely nothing wrong. They're perfect. I like that they follow through with what they say. They're considerate, and they really do their best to match the client with the appropriate caregiver. The caregivers follow the nursing home requirements. The individual that goes in to visit the client always asks before he sees the client if there are any changes, anything he should be concerned about, and what I would like for them to help the client with that day. I love that it's individualized care.

He is a harder patient, as he doesn't like to do lots of things. He mostly likes to be quiet and keep to himself. Yet they continue to talk to him and encourage him to do different activities. I didn't have to say anything to the older caregivers, they were excellent. The younger ones were on their phones until I asked them to do something. The first caregiver was supposed to be here by 8pm. The first night she wasn't here until closer to 9, and then she went outside to take a phone call while I still needed supervision. I was tired of sitting in my chair, and I had to go tell her that I wanted to move, and she said she needed a break. That was not explained to me. She left before my nurse came to get lunch.

I wouldn't like anyone to switch anyone around on me because this is excellent. She was also able to think of things quickly to do things for me, that I had not even thought up yet. She is always on time, and when she was not, it was because of illness.

My mother had vertigo that required hospitalization. After leaving the hospital, she needed 24 hour care (two 12 hour shifts) until she did better. My mother wants to be independent, but we needed someone to be there until she got better and gets checked out by the her primary care doctor. In doing so, we greatly appreciated the diligent care given to my mother by Right at Home North Suburban Chicago. All who have come have done a good job. The 24 hour care was very successful. We will leave it up to my mother as far as how much help she needs going forward (and give her space to decide whether she wants to be alone), but we know that RAH is available to help us to do what we can to support her.

It's really difficult to say the impact. It's a small house, and having a male stranger in the house is a little difficult, but it's something I have to do. They have pretty good caregivers. The one we have now has been very good. I like the billing, unlike other companies that have billing that is hard to understand. That's a big reason why I switched to Right at Home.

I don't think that Right at Home is ethical and I would never refer them to anyone. They double bill and the owner is not genuine. I am very offended by the owner and the way he runs his business. Right at Home was not monitoring the care properly and we were being charged more than we should have been.

Right at Home has been very helpful for my mother who has dementia. We’ve been using them for a year now. She’s currently getting 24-hour care. We initially needed a few hours a week and gradually when my mom needed more care, they were able to increase the staffing. They were easy to work and interact with. They were able to find the right caregiver for my mom. She’s very comfortable with them.
