I want to share my life saving story with you. My Pop is a Vietnam Veteran with 100% disability. I am his full time VA Care giver and his daughter. I am humbled by all of the great helpers who not only come in to help me with Pop but they also look after me too. I am recovering from a episode of care giver burn out. It has been a long road back and I wouldn't be able to have accomplished it without Synergy. They come in and they all bring something to the table that I truly enjoy. Josh was recently promoted to be a manager and I am so proud of him. Please call the office and ask to speak to him about your situation. He is very down to earth and easy to talk to. Although we miss him here at home I hope that he can stop over and say hi to my pop. Tovah has stole my heart, she is family now. She comes in take great care of Pop and when I am pushing to hard she will tell me Suzan, you need rest go lay down I got this. She will run errands for me and make cookies for the grandkids when they are coming to visit. Rose Marie has such a gentle approach, Pop loves her. She is so sweet and makes sure he has everything he needs. She makes the best ginger and honey tea. Destiny is my hard worker, she is always busy and does things with out asking. She keeps my home super clean and often does things without asking because she says she wants to do it. I will miss her very much when she starts her next chapter in life as a Marie Wife in California. Amanda is one of my Pops favorite, she tells him stories and is a great companion for him. Her and I have a lot in common so when I need to talk she takes the time to sit and listen. She is a one of a kind. Megahn is the newest team member for us. I see a lot of great potential in her. She likes to stay busy as well. I never have to worry about her she picked up our routine well. Shadrick has grown close to us as well. He is great at helping me to do things that I need help with. Today he went and got 10 bags of water softener salt carried them in and then down to the basement. He always is saying, I know you can do it but I am here let me help. I smile and take a step back. I am very blessed. Roberta is someone to make me smile, every time she comes we can get lost in conversation. She is my back up when ever I need it. Jim and Gaye are the owners and I have had the pleasure to speak to them about some of my concerns. I was worried that I would be brushed off or get the feeling that I was wasting my time. I was wrong, Jim is a wonderful man to speak to. He apologized for the situation. That blew me away, he understood. He then explained why it happened and what he was going to do to ensure that this didn't happen again. I want you to know that making the decision of getting agency helpers is super hard, then you worry about which one to pick. Then its the care givers, are they good ones, do they really help, do they step up and do little things for you or do they give you the blow off. I am strongly telling you I have had blessings from the good Lord. Call today and ask questions or better yet ask for them to come to your home and let them see what you are going through. They are very flexible and knowledgeable. It is worth your time to call.

We would need to be willing to pay for 24/7 care. The amount of care we need, we can't afford. It is helpful, but not everything we need. They have enough people to consistently provide coverage. They are nice and willing to do what we ask them. We have not had any problems at all.

Sometimes there are good caregivers and other times there are not that good and will sit on their phones.

There were a few caregivers that didn't do the most that they could've been done. Out of the 5 girls I had, 2 were outstanding. They would help me cook and clean up the dishes and were really good. The other I had to do the cooking and cleaning because they didn't know how to cook, and they wouldn't help clean the dishes even though I just got out of surgery.

They make my life easier with the help they give me. I like the caregivers that I have had. I like their policy. They didn't call to tell me that my regular lady wouldn't be here today. I thought that they would let me know she wasn't coming.

She doesn't have that many sessions with the home care. She's only exposed to them once every week. So if she was exposed more often it would be better. They keep me informed. Anytime I want to check on how the last session went they're more then willing to do that and I can talk directly to the caregivers.

It's different people every time; we haven't used them a lot, but it would be easier if he could have a familiar face at the same time. He's training a different person every time and it's not comfortable for him. This is why SYNERGY isn't our only company, but I do know that SYNERGY will get somebody here; they've never failed to show. A person would come to the door, not in scrubs, and not wearing a nametag. We're an elderly couple, so it would be more comfortable if they were wearing a nametag or introduced themselves to us. We learned after three visits that there was supposed to be a book or folder for them to write in; even after we got the book, only one person is writing in it. Our other healthcare company has a supervisor come with a new caregiver, and they would always check the book to see what care has been done. The care has been okay, but the bookkeeping has not been. I had cancelled a service well in advance, and somebody showed up anyway. My email contact at SYNERGY apologized and said that she'd taken it off the schedule and somehow it had come back on. Since then, I've been meticulous myself about making sure that we're not getting charged for a visit that we'd cancelled. The accounting has been correct, but I feel like with my other care company I never have to check. With SYNERGY, I feel like I have to be an additional bookkeeper. We haven't paid for more than we've used. The management tweaking is not really what we were led to expect. We thought there would be more regular paperwork and accounting than there is.
