We have one caregiver that is really on top of it and really good. The others are okay, but they don't come that often. The caregivers get him up and give him a bed bath. They get him dressed and in his wheelchair. They prepare a breakfast for the both of us. I do the pills, the caregivers don't. They help me walk him once a day because he is in a wheelchair. They need to work on communication.

Rachel knows what to do, where to put things. She really is helpful. I've come to rely on them and I'd hate to have to do without them. I would recommend our current caregiver to anyone. But we have had a lot of different caregivers and I don't like that. It's easier to work with one than to have somebody new every shift.

It is a very necessary service for the conditions. It gives me the ability to keep appointments. I can trust that he is in good hands when I do need to leave. Helping out with housework is a tremendous help. They are very responsive and when one caregiver can't come, they do their best to fill my time with someone else.

They have made a great impact on my dad by just having someone here to socialize with him. I would recommend them more if they improved their communication. We never know when the caregivers are coming. I have requested schedules be sent to me every month, they said they would do so, and they have not done that.

There isn't much getting done except a few dishes. I wish I knew what they were able and allowed to do to help the clients. My brother said he was going to call and see what they are supposed to be doing and what extent they help. It's been a while since anyone has done anything because things kept coming up with the caregivers.

When I asked the caregiver to give my mother a bed bath, she could have done that and done more for her, my mother, out. I asked her to encourage my mother to exercise and drink her protein shakes and the caregiver never did that either. The first lady from Home Helpers who came to set up everything said she was going to bring paperwork, and she never brought it and so the caregiver said she was going to get it and they never brought that packet of paperwork to know what to do. However, it was nice to have some help from Home Helpers.

The homecare worker really cares about him. In the beginning, there was miscommunication with Home Helpers. It has gotten better over the last few months. For me personally, it goes from, there was one time I was having to contact them to see if the worker was going to make it due to the snow. I talked to them, and they tried to contact me and my phone didn't get it. There was some miscommunication there. They seemed to work it out. They now send me texts. I get my texts.

We discontinued services after several cancellations at the last minute by the caregiver. The caregivers themselves were great and was a great help. But there were two incidents that we were called with a two hour notice that the caregiver couldn't come. We had to cancel plans that were very important to us. Then another time they sent a replacement, who couldn't do the things we needed. She said she just thought she had to sit while he was in bed. I don't blame the girls. It's poor communication and scheduling and organizing.

If it would be easier to have someone come just one day in the week instead of many days in the week for 2 hours a day. They can't get much done that way. They were very respectful, and if I had any problems I could contact them. I like their employees. They were easy to work with and very helpful.

She ran the sweeper for me and vacuum cleaner since I could not do those well. She also made my bed perfectly. They were always on time and the girl I had was so nice. She did anything I asked her to do. She was willing to do anything.

They could make my life easier by having more back up caregivers for when the main caregivers can't make a shift. They don't try to send another caregiver when someone can't make it. The caregivers are excellent. I would tell a friend that they need to look for the right caregiver.

It really helped, them showing up on time for the most part. They were there so I could do what I needed, so that there was free time. A lot of the people they sent out didn't have a lot of gumption. Unless you told them what to do or directed, they didn't take the initiative.

The caregivers haven't been doing their jobs to help and when the caregivers come, they do a minimum and then leave. We were told that the caregivers would transport them to important appointments. The caregivers haven't been accomplishing anything being asked by the family. They are left with a list of things to be done and it doesn't get done properly.
