This is new territory for us, but it's been a rough time with keeping up. She can still function, but she's just become too much to handle for in-home care. My mom needs memory care, and while the current caregiver is pretty good and skilled with that, a few of the other caregivers we've had were not as skilled. They were pleasant and they helped out, but in terms of having strategies and techniques for redirecting and distracting, they were not very skilled.
