Right at Home Durham-Chapel Hill is helping me out with my wife getting dressed and taking a shower. That's the main thing, and whenever I go to a doctor's appointment, they go with me to help because my wife uses a wheelchair. They are excellent. I feel very good and very satisfied with them. So far, they've done everything I wanted them to do.

At the moment, we have Right at Home Durham-Chapel Hill coming in 15 hours a week. They are helping my husband get up in the morning, get him washed, shampooed, and shaved, taking care of his incontinence, and helping him with getting the meals. For any of the soiled laundry or so forth, they put it in the washer and dryer and fold it, and they change the bed usually once a week. And then it allows me to go out and get my groceries or to go to doctor's appointments and things like that. I don't use them for my housework or stuff like that; I handle that. Pretty much what they do is all concentrated on him. The caregiver is a young woman in her late 20s. She's had experience working at nursing homes. She seemed to be well-trained. She worked in nursing homes with people with memory problems. She had an accident, so they had to send someone else. It was the same situation the caregiver has experienced in handling people with memory problems and nursing home experience. In both cases, the young ladies were very nice and very friendly. I have no complaints about them. They've been very nice people.

We have struggled for six months to have this service handle the most basic of services without any luck. They have a dedicated service provider at my mother-in-law’s independent living facility and we have contracted with them to give her her medication every morning. One simple task. And more than half the time they fail to complete it. Moreover, their communication has been VERY spotty, despite their committing to us to be in touch if they encounter any problems fulfilling their responsibilities. We cannot recommend this service at all.

Our family was so fortunate to receive services through Right at Home. The staff was amazingboth the caregivers and the admin support responsive and helpful with last minute changes and adjustments. Caregivers were professional and caring to my father and our whole family during a very difficult time. Thank you!

Four years ago, we had Right at Home sent in a team of care providers to assist with our Mom who was passing away. The team members who worked with us were fantastic. When my Dad started his need for daily assistance we once again called on Ken H. to help put caregivers together. We have the greatest team you could ask for.

Right at Home is very easy to work with and a nice company. If I have an emergency they are there. Their employees are second to none. They are all very nice and helpful. I would make the same decision to use Right at Home for grandmother again.

I was in search of a company that could provide in home care to my elderly friend who was not receiving care at home she deserved. Right At Home was the company I chose to come out and they were by far an eye opener of above and beyond my expectations! I have worked in healthcare for 23 years and was so impressed with their professionalism and true dedication for caring for their clients and the wellbeing of the helpless elderly population. The owner is very personable and willing to answer any questions. The director and head nurse are two of the most compassionate people I have ever met. I have always been very skeptical about home care agencies, however my eyes have been opened that there are people you can trust! Just so you know, I am not a representative for this company typing this message to boost clientele. I am a Physical Therapist who knew my friend needed more help and happened to find an awesome group of people! I highly recommend Right At Home, they saved my friend's life. Thank you!!!!

We used Right at Home 24/7 for the last nine days of my mother's life. Nurse Sharon S. is wonderful., but the quality of the caregivers was at best uneven. Satisfied clients appear to have had one good caregiver assigned to them; we seldom saw the same one twice. The handful of good ones were worth every penny, and I am grateful to have had one of them with us when my mother died. The others were a frustration, not fully engaged in personalized care, and left me feeling I had failed my mother. To their credit, Right at Home allows clients to ask that unsatisfactory caregivers not be assigned to you again. Perhaps in a longer relationship they could have found us stable, satisfactory care, but we were paying for wonderful whether we got it or not.

Service, support, and care were prompt, personal and professional from the first introductory call until the end of our service period. There was an open communication channel at all times and the flexibility was exactly what we needed. There was mutual love and respect between my mom and the caregiver, Hannah, we love her!

My husband was in the end stages of brain cancer when we reached out to Right at Home of Durham and Chapel Hill. Regina A. was our CNA and Sharon S. was our nurse. Regina was such a wonderful support to both my husband and myself. She did everything she could each day to provide comfort and support to both of us. Our nurse, Sharon, was a valuable resource during a very difficult time.

I am so thankful to have found this agency through a friend. The daytime caregivers were exceptional, caring, and very capable. I had the most interaction with those who came during the day and considered them to be good friends. Our nighttime aids were also very capable through the night and a great support to me.

It reduces my stress level to know that my father is in good hands with the Right at Home caregivers. My father has had the same set of caregivers for a while now and I appreciate the consistency. There is also peer mentoring when someone new needs to join in.
