It is helping my mother, and it allows me to lighten my workload and help my husband with his care as well. I would want them to improve on consistency in who they provide. My mother had 4 caregivers, and we have been reassigned to different caregivers. Many caregivers did not know what they were doing.

It was not my decision because it is the VA who is paying for this, but I like this company and it is okay.

We couldn't do without them. The caregiver is a really caring individual outside of the job. Sometimes she will stop and pick little things up for my mom. She is very sweet and she goes above and beyond the general call of duty. She keeps me informed of the daily things since I don't live in the same city. She keeps me updated on if she sees something odd that I might need to know about. She is very communicative and that is super important. I like that they have been really responsive. The first caregiver we were presented with has been a great fit and that doesn't happen all the time. Usually you have to go through a couple people to find the right fit so that has been a great experience.

Lisa and her team provided excellent care to my spouse with Alzheimers for the last 2 yrs. Sandy was so good with him and became a great friend and advisor to me. Her kind gentle spirit and laid back manner were a perfect fit for us . Valerie was super in providing overnight care , I couldn't have managed without her. Dawn was also provided great service and I believe Chuck loved watching animal programs with her! I can't thank them enough.

It is a very negative vibe when you are doing his work with him right there and he does not help. It would be great if they could provide a checklist of things for the caregiver to do. There is no particular reason I can say. I could see the care being better as a whole due to the caregiver's availability and the staffing shortage. Some of the caregivers were top quality and I would recommend them to everyone, some of them lacked work ethic and personality. The manager was great to work with and had great communication. I know they have some staffing issues and she was more than willing to help us find coverage for care.

The person who does come is very good, but, unfortunately, she can only come six hours a week. Since I depend on her for bathing and other things, it's not what I had expected. They are looking for someone to come and help me four days a week, though. They need to have better availability of personnel.

It allows the client's family to get outside and get a breather from the care. The caregiver we use only has a few other patients, so we feel like she is not overbooked. The caregiver also lives very close to our parents. It is convenient.

Over the past year we have gone through five different caregivers. A lot of that is not the fault of the agency. But we haven't had the opportunity to work with one caregiver for a long time. Some of them were not good at all and did not follow rules and regulations. But hopefully the most recent caregiver can come back after Covid-19. They could have more consistent staffing and better training for them.

The very first person they sent, she didn't click well with and they immediately sent a new person that's a perfect match for her. The local supervisor checks with my mom regularly. Her helper comes in twice a week and cleans the house and changes the bedding and washes her dog. She personalizes her services.

The caregivers that were provided to my husband was here just to receive a pay check, one never washed her hands unless you asked, never checked if my husband soiled his pants, left him wet in the bed, never attended his needs unless she was asked, as far as I can see the people they have working at United Home care Services do not care about the care that a person needs, it is all a joke. To care for a person all it takes is common sense, and what the needs of the other person.
