I've had the caregiver call out for two weeks in a row and they were not able to find a replacement. I don't know if there's anything they can do about that, but it would have been nice to have coverage. We got coverage later on, but it was a bit of a disruption to our schedule. They are available 24/7. There is no minimum home care requirement. They have a friendly sales team.

This score is an average for the aides. They made sure she was safe when she had a seizure. They were very good at letting me know when she had appointments, and they took her places safely. I like they had a nurse to do the assessment, and they had a binder that the aides could document things in. They were very good at making and following the care plan. I would definitely use them again for other clients of mine.

They should have listened to my father, as the client, and directed their conversations towards him. Severing ties with BrightStar Care had to do with an internal family disagreement about my father's needs. I felt like Kelvin, the manager, and the nurse, didn't advocate for my father. They seemed to have no understanding of the care of someone his age. They were more interested in sales rather than his welfare.

She needs assistance because she can't get out of a wheelchair on her own. They pay great attention to detail, they are always on top of any issues that we should be aware of, and the owner will go and meet with my loved one. He also went and took care of her hearing aides on his own time.

What comes to me is the fact that we've had some really good caregivers and I finally called and said that I wanted more mature caregivers as opposed to the younger caregivers because they have more life experience, and so for the most part, they've sent more mature caregivers. The fact that I can plan and use different hours has helped me the most because normally I was getting someone three times a week in the mornings but I needed to make changes to that and I found that very convenient.

I have only had one negative experience with the company. I was 15 minutes late to get home, and when I arrived, the caregiver stormed out of the house. I was parked behind her, so I had to move my car, and she did not speak with me or give me her number to call her. She just stormed out without talking to me. Then I found out she did not really provide any services to my mom that day. Other than that, my mom has been very pleased with all the other caregivers. They feed her and keep her company. They keep her happy.

They also provide respite, short term and long term care to their clients. They also provide companion services, grocery shopping caregivers, therapist, physicians and skilled licensed nurses to their clients. In addition to they also provide various other supportive services and assistance to their clients that are tailor fitted to fit into their clients individual plans of care. In general, I would rank Bright Star Home Care with a five stars rating for their excellence in home care.
