I am a past client of this provider

The Linwood Place facility of Midland Care Connection cared for both my parents during their last days of life. The facility was clean and well maintained and orderly. The staff did their best to make life as comfortable as they could for both Mom and Dad. Care for the elderly is a very difficult job and can be very emotionally charged. Many of the staff members were also family friends which made their jobs even more difficult. I admire the nursing staff for their compassionate attention to the work they do. I highly recommend Midland Care Connection.

Please beware of Midland Pace, our experience with them has been the worst. We trusted them with our loved one and it couldn't have turned out worse. Our loved one has dementia for which we had some major concerns. He was very troubled due to the frustration of this medical condition. We expressed those concerns to Midland Pace and were continually searching for answers. Under their care we trusted them to help but they really neglected our family and loved one. It seems like every suggestion they made continually made our family situation worse until ultimately tragedy struck. He was able to walk away from the facility and no one at Pace was aware for hours. We had no idea where he went, initially it seemed like Pace was going to be helpful and cared about our situation, but after a short period of searching they washed their hands saying they couldn't do anything more. We felt abandoned and on our own to locate our loved one. On their website they say " we are always available to make sure your needs are met" that statement is a complete lie!! To this day they haven't called to see how we are doing or see how they could help. Our family has been grieving and hurting and Midland Pace does not care. Needless to say we do not want any other families going through what we have gone through. Please find a different program for your loved one. This could happen to your loved one.....ARE THEY SAFE AT MIDLAND PACE?

Midland gave our family sanctuary, serenity, and a loving, secure setting during one of life's most difficult times. If I ever had a time when I was concerned about anything ... I felt VERY empowered to discuss it with any of their wonderful staff. I can't even begin to tell you how much the care they took of our Father (and of our family members) meant to us. The facility and their staff will be in my heart forever.

    My loved one stayed here

First impression--poor. Our family member was delivered here from hospital... and kindly tucked into bed--then left without any care or attention for the next 45 minutes. Care improved following days. I suppose most all facilities are short staffed, and rotating staff makes it difficult because of lack of continuity in trying to get something done or consistency of care. Some staff were really good. Others spent their time talking to each other about how they were overworked. There was no means to review or know that our concerns were taken seriously. TIP: The in-house doctor seems to be the one who makes things happen. And he was quite responsive and flexible. We appreciated him. NEED: A case worker!!! No one seemed to be in charge of our loved one. No one asked us questions. No one sat down with us and reviewed what they planned to do... (other than the Dr.) The social worker dropped in to say, "Let me know if you need anything"--but it seemed like a formality. We had experience with another nursing home in town--and the staff there REALLY CARED!! We didn't feel that at Midland. POSITIVES: The place and the grounds are beautiful... the security was pretty good... the cookies are good... BUT those weren't our primary concerns.
