I cannot say enough about Season's Hospice. My mom was at home when they put her in hospice. They took very good care of my mom. My mom's nurse, Paula, was always there for us when we needed her. Always available to answer our questions and if my mom wasn't feeling well Paula was right there. Unfortunately our mom passed away shortly after being in hospice. A nurse came very quickly that morning when we told her our mom was passing. She walked us through the steps on what was going to happen and told us what to do to comfort our mom. When she passed Paula made all of the arrangements we needed. They also offered support group meetings online, which was comforting. I would not have chosen a different facility.

I’m saddened that my family’s experience with this hospice provider wasn’t better as the limited staff we came in contact with were very kind. Unfortunately, there were missteps right from the beginning of my father’s arrival home including no hospice nurse support until 5 hours after his arrival. His pain pack of meds arrived 7 days after his entry into the program - a day after he passed. After 4 days of using meds we had on hand, I had to call Seasons Hospice to insist meds be provided even if it meant me picking up meds from the local pharmacy. The day of my father’s passing, I struggled to get support of how to ease his discomfort. Upon my initial call for help in which I expressed an urgency to speak with our assigned nurse, I waited 25 minutes, watching my dad continue to struggle to breathe and feeling nauseous, and still no call back. I called for help a second time asking to speak to any nurse available. I was told someone would call me right back. Five minutes later I called for a third time yelling that I needed help as my father was gasping for air, unable to speak and turning colors. I will never know if it was truly my father’s time to die or if it was because we couldn’t get the direction we needed to properly help him. I wish we would have had the support in those moments either giving my dad more time or a more comfortable passing.

My mom received wonderful end of life care from Seasons. She received weekly visits on a regular basis, with others as needed when her symptoms warranted, or when we reached out for help. She really liked the TLC from the hospice aide. She was able to enjoy time at home with our family, instead of in and out of doctors' offices, as she had for the 2 years previous. She died in peace and comfort at home. I think a lot of negative reviews stem from lack of understanding of hospice as well as from grief. No complaints here. Seasons does great work.

The interaction with the employee(s) of Seasons Hospice was not good at all. Phone calls were not returned. The care was inadequate and not at all what they said it would be. My sister would be dead right now if it wasn't for action on our part. I am appalled at how they service people. I would not recommend this company at all.

As far as the service provided to our father the patient, it was good. Being under hospice care in the hospital ensured he had pain meds on a regular basis. Other than that, Seasons did absolutely nothing for my brother and myself. We met the social worker one time, and a nurse one time. Both seemed like sales people, reciting all of the services that can be provided. Meanwhile, we were left in a cramped room with my father, alone. The nurse stated she would be back in a while and did not return until the next day. She called me on the phone on her way out of the hospital as I was on my way in. I asked why she did not return. Her response was that she was busy with other patients and was just a phone call away. Well, we never called because the hospital staff was above and beyond wonderful. The nurses and CNA's at the hospital provided us compassion, comfort and even a few laughs. They let us know what to expect next, what we should and should not do, and listened to us. We honestly received nothing from Seasons staff. The nurses at the hospital were with us when our father passed, and we are very thankful for that. They helped us afterward and we did not hear from Seasons until the next afternoon. Again, we received a phone call while we were at the funeral home making arrangements. Really? This is how you provide care for families? We had heard such good things about this company, but are very disappointed.

very poor service--came only 1/week and never gave me a report until the last one-- I wasn't even notified about my dad's death until 2 hours later, after I already talked to my job about work that day! Very rude to the assisted living staff NEVER USE THEM !!! Hospice care in Michigan terrible--this was the second place we tried.

Seasons Hospice did great with taking care of my wife. She was in their hospice in the hospital. They maintained her and kept her comfortable. The caregivers were excellent. They kept me up to date with everything occurring, were professional, and gave great service.

My Mom had a bad fall in September. She was in a rehab facility for a couple months but it wasn't very effective. When the home care physical therapists would come they were mean and too demanding of my Mom. After a long discussion with our family we decided that hospice was our best option as she was suffering with horrible pain. From the day the man from hospice came to talk to us about season's she has had the best care. The aides come twice a week to bath my Mom and the nurses come once a week unless there is a problem. They have kept my Mom very comfortable in the past month and I know for certain that we made the right choice. Hospice is not there to kill your loved one... they are there to make sure they don't suffer needlessly. I My Mom said that she doesn't want to suffer and she is very comfortable now. It takes a special person to do hospice care. These people are so professional. The aide and nurse have taken the time to get to know me as well as my Mom. They really support the whole family. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Seasons Hospice provided hospice care for my grandmother. It was a great experience - she had a lot of issues with pain before we found Seasons. They ensured she was comfortable and explained everything to us. We were also kept in the loop every step of the way. The nurses at night were also good and ensured she had oxygen delivered (even though we refused it initially.) Our Social worker helped us with supporting my grandson who was really upset and they offered a camp later in the year to help him with greiving.

The rehab facility recommended Seasons to us. They showed up here with all the quipment needed at my house. They really did a fantastic job, the people were very caring, the nurse we had was awesome. They kept my wife comfortable until she finally passed away.

Season's hospice located in Madison Heights, MI is a good hospice provider. They have three or four "teams" that service all areas of Metro Detroit. The teams are made up of doctors, nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, music therapists, etc. In my dealings with Season's, I have always met staff members who seem dedicated to their job. The nurses at Season's seem to go above and beyond for their patients. The nurses work quite closely with the social workers at Season's, which is not seen everywhere. This guarantees that emotional needs as well as physical needs are met. I do think that the doctors could be move involved in the patient's care. Although, the nurses do communicate with the doctor's as needed. I have never heard any complaints about their after hours, on call availability. Overall I would rate Season's Hospice a 4.5 out of 5 stars. The staff is compassionate and knowledgeable and I think this is most important in hospice care.
