Woodland Hospice is the primary client-service program of Hospice of Central Michigan, Inc., the community-based not-for-profit hospice program serving Isabella and surrounding counties since 1984. Woodland Hospice provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, and spiritual care for people with a life-limiting illness, with emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms. The program is reflective of hospice philosophy emphasizing comfort and dignity for the dying making it possible for them to remain independent for as long as possible, and in familiar surroundings. Woodland Hospice care is centered on both the patient and the family.
Woodland Hospice House provides routine, respite and inpatient care when home care is not the best option or residential care is preferred. Each of the eight private 400 sq. foot suites has a personal patio overlooking a garden, water feature and woodlands. Clients and their family members are surrounded by a professional team offering the medical, emotional and spiritual care they need.
