I had worked for a pharmacy which delivered medicine to patients in hospice care but I was not fully aware of all they did. When the time came for me to make the decision of where to place my wife of 47 years, I met with their representative at Banner Baywood Medical Center. It did not take long to make my decision place her in this facility. I am so pleased with the staff. My first impression was that these people really do care about the patient and the family. They know how to make a patient comfortable and are so reassuring to the family. Their knowledge of the dying process has been learned from years of experience. These gracious professionals were by our side to guide us through this with care and compassion answering all of our concerns and helping us far above all expectations. We have only a heartfelt thank you for this wonderful staff and all they do to make us comfortable making this awful time a pleasant remembrance. They all have a special place in our hearts.
BANNER HOSPICE- WHAT CAN I SAY, FIRST , IF IT WASNT FOR THEM I PROBABLY WOULD NOT HAVE MADE IT THROUGH THE PROCESS OF MY MOTHERS BATTLE WITH LUNG CANCER. AND THEN LOSING THE BATTLE. THEN ONE YEAR A ONE DAY LATER LOSING MY BROTHER TO BRAIN CANCER. MY SISTER WAS THE MAIN CAREGIVER FOR MY MOTHER, AND I WAS THE MAIN CARE GIVER FOR MY BROTHER. UNTIL BANNER HOSPICE CAME IN AND IN BOTH CASES, WALKED US THROUGH ALL THE "STEPS". HAVING A WONDERFUL VOLUNTEER TO RELEAVE YOU WHEN YOU DONT THINK YOU CAN MAKE IT ANOTHER MOMENT. AND THE NURES WERE LIKE FAMILY COMING IN TO VISIT. ALL THE HELP, AND ALL OF THE SHOULDERS TO LEAN ON. I TELL EVERYONE ABOUT BANNER HOSPICE AND ALL OF THE ANGELS THEY HAVE WORKING WITH THEM. MY MOTHER PASSED AT HOME. BUT MY BROTHER WAS SO MUCH MORE WORSE OFF AT THE END OF HIS JOURNEY, THAT I HAD TO MAKE THAT FINAL CHOICE TO PUT HIM IN HOSPICE HOME. WHICH WAS 2 MINUTES FROM HOME THANK GOODNESS. AND I HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT MY BROTHER PASSED AWAY JUST AS CONTENT WITH WHERE HE WAS, AS MY MOTHER. THE FAMILY WAS ALL THERE, WITH BOTH. I HAVE EVEN TOLD MY FAMILY WHEN IT IS MY TURN, THATS WHO I WANT THEM TO HAVE HELP THEM, THEN I KNOW WE WILL BOTH BE TAKEN CARE OF. GOD BLESS YOU BANNER HOSPICE, AND ALL YOU DO.
