I looked at Samaritas. There's a lot of natural light and a lot of windows. It's just very cheerful looking. The units are double rooms. My mother-in-law would not like that, but they seem adequate. They're not huge, and they have to share, but it should suit her needs just fine. I saw the dining area, and it was homey. Everything looked clean and fresh, and it smelled nice. The staff were friendly and helpful, too.

I wish that I would have known before. I was disgusted to see the care my grandmother was receiving. Asleep in her food with a nurse looking on....... dirty room, lack of hair being washed. It was disgusting.

My mother and father moved to Maple Creek seven years ago. My father was very reluctant to move to a retirement community. Within months he had changed his mind completely. Both of my parents so enjoy the Maple Creek staff. Linda, Diane, Dollie, Julie--just to name a few, have treated them with dignity, respect and warmth. My parents have met wonderful friends and have felt so at home at Maple Creek. My dad died in January. Prior to his death, he moved to the Lodge. Although certainly not the same as MC, the proximity allowed my parents to see each other almost every day. Our family is grateful to have such a wonderful facility that my parents lovingly call home.

The Terraces at MapleCreek is also a very good facility. We were able to have a tour there. I like that they had some cottages, they were set up very nicely, and it was very clean too. They had nice grounds around it where you could walk if you wanted to. We had lunch there, and the food was very good. The people were very friendly. They came up and talked to us during lunch time, and that was very nice. The staff who worked there were very helpful and willing to answer any questions.

my mother was a resident there and walked out the back door and was unable to get back in and froze to death before she was able to walk around the building.

Excellent facility! They are very up-to-date, and allow clients to be as independent as possible. It is not a case of sitting in a hallway in a wheelchair all day, as places have been in the past. It's almost like a luxury hotel with all the amenities.

Maple Creek is a wonderful facility. Within the past 4 years all the buildings have been beautifully renovated. There are different levels of care on the campus from independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing. The staff is very caring and were attentive to my mother's needs. They also kept me apprised of Mom's plan of care and I was notified immediately of any changes medically or psychologically as well as changes in medication. Maple Creek has a bus that takes residents on planned outings at least once weekly. There is a chapel in each facility and a chaplain available. The facility is also Medicaid friendly. I just can't say enough about Maple Creek!

My mom is in the Luther Village. She really loves it. The staff is wonderful. They actually take the time to meet each persons need. They do it with care which is the greatest thing. You always here about all the negative things that happen at these homes but hardly the good stuff. And that is all I have to say about this place. They have many activities to keep them busy. Nobody is ever alone. There is always someone to talk to or lend a helping hand. If you really care about your love one this is the place for them.
