We will be moving into The Virginian. All of the places that I visited were very outstanding and competitive. They're all at the top of the class, but The Virginian just fits better for us. It just underwent renovation. It has five restaurants, so you have plenty of choices. You could go from your apartment to anywhere without going outside and that was important. The sales staff was extremely helpful. It had the things that we were looking for and the floor plan and it just was a slightly better fit. They had a promotion where if you go ahead and make the commitment when a larger apartment becomes available, you would be the first on the list to be able to receive the larger apartment. The apartment that we saw that we're taking possession of is a one-bedroom. Then we would be on the wait list for a larger two-bedroom, two-bath apartment. They had a little gym facility, which I look forward to. They have a salon there where my wife can go. They have doctors who come there each week if you want to use one of them rather than your own doctor. I can move to an assisted living facility if my health deteriorates to a point where I need that. They had memory care. The staff was wonderful and it does make a difference. When I signed the paperwork, I told the salesperson, "I've written into the contract that you can't retire for two years." We wanted her there and she laughed and had a good humor out of it. It was very important to have someone that you gained trust with and who was helping you navigate. It was quiet. They're in the business of renovating. They've renovated most of the facility and will complete that by the end of the year, so you're looking at an almost new facility because of all the renovation. It was quiet and it was recessed away from the highway far enough where you didn't have the noise of a major highway close by and that helped a lot. I looked at several other communities and they were all great as well, but The Virginian fits our needs the best of the ones that we looked at.

The Virginian is lovely. One thing about them is they're undergoing a massive renovation. It's a lot smaller and I think in total they may have like 120 units. It's full and lovely. They have something that none of the other places have so far that I've seen, in that they have a concierge class of stuff. For a certain price point, you can live in a certain area, you have certain things included like automated blinds, a certain amount of transportation, and a certain food classification included. It's like the cruise ship on land concept where if you have a certain kind of cabin, you get a butler with it. The units, as opposed to the regular units, are a little bit more glamorous. They have a lot of amenities, but it is a lot smaller. The population skews a bit younger. I liked it. Everything they do seems done with excellence. Their renovation is gorgeous. All the staff with whom I interacted, even the contractors who are doing the work, are friendly, available, considerate, and engaging. It's farther than I want it to go necessarily. My husband loved it. It was number one on his list. The staff who I interacted with were fantastic. He gave excellent tour information. He showed us four different apartments. He gave us good financial information. He was very knowledgeable. He was very, very well acquainted with all that the place offers now and will offer. They have a gym. They don't have a pool, but they have a relationship with the local gym that will allow residents to get transportation and travel to it. It's about 10 minutes away, but that was another big thing for me.

I attended the tour at The Virginian, and it was quite good. It's a superb tour. Knowledgeable tour guide. Answered all my questions fully. Absolutely no negatives. Kevin was the person who dealt with me, and he was fantastic. With regards to the overall condition of the place, I would say 9/10. They're in the middle of some renovation, but from what I saw, it's first-rate. I've been to other places before, and this is definitely at the upper echelon of what I've seen.

I loved The Virginian. If I had a rich uncle that would like to pay my way, I'd be there tomorrow. It's really, really nice. They are putting in a pool. They hope to have that by mid-summer. Their apartments have balconies. I looked at 1 and 2-bedrooms, and they are spacious apartments. They have been undergoing renovations. They hope to finish mid July, so everything will be new, modern, clean, spiffy, and very nice. I had dinner there, and I had salmon. The salmon was delicious. I had good vibes there. The people were friendly and active. Several people interacted with me while I was waiting to go into the dining room. Everybody that I met was very friendly.

I toured The Virginian. They were in the middle of construction. That place was not very attractive. The rooms seemed to be smaller. As far as I could see, they were not as attractive as in other places. Because of the construction, the common areas were not as attractive as some other places.

I will be moving into The Virginian. The accommodation was bigger than most places, and it's very lovely. The staff members were very informative and answered any questions that I had. The got facilities that are being built now, but they're not finished yet. They have a courtyard, a gym under construction, and a swimming pool under construction. It's brand new.
