I am a friend or relative of a resident
My mother was at Kirkland Village, but it does not take Medicaid. She was there for physical therapy and rehab. The staff was very nice. They took care of her very sweetly. They helped whenever they could with whatever was needed. At that point, I didn't know that I was going to end up having a permanent place for her. It was just for rehab. But as far as rehab, they were very good. She went every day. They have a really nice library there. I know there were events that they did. The kids did come through over the holidays. They would sing and do shows. The family members could come in to eat and things like that. They have a lot of activities, but being it was only temporary, she didn't really do that much. It was extremely clean also.

I visited this facility
I chose Kirkland Village as the best place for me. I had chosen an apartment in their complex and paid a substantial fee for them to supply me with a place and options where I wanted to live. I will be able to move 60 days after signing the contract.
They have facilities also for advanced care. It's an extremely well run facility. I liked that in their brochure everything was laid out including the costs involved and the whole arrangement. I found that they have an excellent exercise facility. In addition to that, they have covered parking and outside parking for everybody. We went there for meals and met people who lived there for at least five years. They have transportation for residents to visit doctors, shopping centers or any place they wanted to go.

I visited this facility
The facility is very nice. They've got the full range of continuing care from independent living through I guess what they now call personal care (which was assisted living). It has very nice amenities like an indoor pool that's available for everyone. It also has a number of other programs for fitness. I haven't been able to compare costs because I haven't gone to enough places but their cost seem reasonable and affordable.
The people there seemed very nice. I was invited back to a luncheon with some residents and I sat with them and they all seem very amiable and pleasant. I like their policies, the visitation and the rooms. So those are the things that impressed me so far.
