About Bright Horizons of Sunrise
Bright Horizons of Sunrise was our first assisted living facility, opened in 1998. The facility is located in Sunrise, Florida, close to the intersection of N. W. 44th St. and 115th Terrace, just a short drive from the Oakland Park Blvd. exit of the Sawgrass Expressway. Don’t let the unassuming front of the house fool you: this assisted living home is a spacious four bedroom, three bathroom home with a beautiful layout. It has two large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms which are used as the semi-private rooms, and two additional private rooms. The home is a three-way split and provides all residents with plenty of privacy.
The main room of the facility is the large family room where everyone comes together for community events, including regular entertainers and musicians. This family room has a large screen TV, and electric recliners for all the residents to feel comfortable. We also have a large dining room where we serve our meals, which we develop with a licensed nutritionist and prepared for residents in our new kitchen.
We have a nice screen patio out back for residents to enjoy the quiet with a fenced in backyard. As the facility backs up to a Florida Water Management District canal, there are no homes behind the facility which creates a serene and private location. This is a very quiet neighborhood and has worked very well for the residents from the surrounding retiring communities, like Kings Point, Tamarac Mainlands and Sunrise Lakes.
As with all of our assisted living facilities, we have a committed staff that has worked with us for several years. Our staff is knowledgeable, caring, competent, and professional at handling any situations that arise with our residents. They are very familiar with needs of the elderly population, and local culture.
Personalized Care at Sunrise
Bright Horizons Assisted Living Facilities are regulated and licensed to operate in the State of Florida, like many other larger facilities in the area. What separates Bright Horizons from the large assisted living facilities is the fact that our residents can age in place, while a large assisted living facility eventually will ask the resident to move out because they can no longer provide the services needed due to their staff ratio. Small assisted living facilities bridge the gap between the large facility and a nursing home for a much lower cost.
As the level of care increases due to the aging process, our elderly care is custom-tailored to meet all the needs of our residents. To ensure one-on-one care, we tailor our levels of care with all the Activities of Daily Living. Our small home environment is perfect for seniors suffering from Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease because it makes our residents feel as though they are living at home.
We understand that our residents will require more services as they age, and we provide each resident individualized care such as bathing, dressing and grooming, dining, and assistance with medication administration. We treat every resident with respect and dignity, and we encourage them to stay involved with the daily activities and entertainment and to keep in touch with family and friends for their own well-being.
Our service rates for all our assisted living facilities are the same, and vary depending only on the level of care that the resident requires. We look forward to having you take a tour of the facility and can discuss our care philosophy and explain our services and rates in detail.
