I've had 2 extremely unprofessional experiences with Park Place Skilled Nursing Facility Administrative employees in Monroe, GA. The 1st one, the employee thought she had hung up the phone and she began cussing and I let her know that I could hear every word that she said! She then quickly hung up the phone and later called me crying profusely and apologized to me. Saying that this is not who I am, etc. Her apology was not sincere and she only apologized because she got caught! The other incident happened when I was speaking to a staff administrator today and she hung up in my face. This is appalling for any company or adult to behave the way that these 2 staff members behaved. And let me be clear, this behavior is NOT okay and it should not have happened! But, it did!!

The grounds that Park Place Nursing Facility have are OK. The inside is not always kept clean, like the floors. It's like somebody urinates on the floor, gets walked through by a wheelchair, and streaks up and down the hall. Each room is very, very small and they have two people in it. When they both have wheelchairs, it's kind of hard to keep on. They usually have to keep them in the hallway. They have just recently changed hands in the facility and there seems to be a lot more disarray and have more problems now than they used to. My husband went there in October and he was transferred from the hospital to rehab because he's got dementia and Parkinson's and he could not stand without falling. They have worked with him and he is now able to walk. He has to be careful and have a walker. Most of them are very, very polite and very nice. There are not a lot of things going on now as much as they used to be. They usually have something going on each day. They have a calendar that they put everything on for that day. It's too expensive for what you get.

The rooms were sun-filled and bright. The staff were friendly and kind, But one person stood out that was Carolyn. She was always happy and pleasant, most of all she treated My Husband Ray with dignity and compassion. Her presence allowed Ray to feel like he had some control over his situation. Thank you Thank you Carolyn!!!

I toured Park Place Nursing Facility. It's a rehab place. It's a little bit different than assisted living. They provided everything. The staff has all been very helpful. They followed up immediately with any questions you have. They had a gym. The dining area was very nice. The upkeep was very good. Everything was kept very clean. It's convenient to both hospital and a couple of restaurants nearby.

While the facility was clean, the care was below average. The only option for the patient is to wear a diaper b/c no one will answer the call button. CNA staff was very rude and disrespectful to my family members (heard them over the phone) They left my families roommate laying on the floor for 2+ hours b/c they would not answer the call button in a timely manner. I had to advocate daily to get any information and proper care for my family member. One CNA would not even push a wheel chair close to the bed b/c she was collection trays. When I received the discharge papers, there where nurses notes stating they had repositioned the patient every two hours and she was unable to move herself in bed....not true....she was there for rehab not for long term care. It also said she was nicotinate.... not true... she needed assistance to the rest room and they would not answer the call. When I ask the nurse for an update I was told she ate breakfast, ate lunch and took her medicine...she knew nothing else. I could go on and on....bottom line...DO NOT GO HERE!
