I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother moved into The Suites at Rouse. So far, it has been great. It is a little difficult to give a good review because we haven't been able to go inside yet because of COVID restrictions. Everything that I've encountered so far has been fine. My mother is happy there and it's a very nice facility. I'm able to call her whenever I want and we can do window visits. The staff I had to call probably five times in the last two weeks, and every time I was able to reach the nurse responsible for my mother within less than two minutes, so it has been very good and very acceptable. My associates have been limited, but everything I've done so far has been great. Our number one target was The Suites at Rouse because of it's good reputation and it's proximity to our home. When we found out that a unit was available we stopped looking for others right away.

Our parent’s room was very spacious & beautiful. It overlooked the wonderful pond & woods across the street. We would quite often walk over to the pond just to sit & talk. It was so relaxing & peaceful. Having a bird feeder & a hummingbird feeder attracted lots of birds which were so much fun to watch,(Especially the hummingbirds) Just sitting outside & looking at the spectacular scenery was so calming for all of us. It seemed like there was some kind of music concert every week. Numerous activities are scheduled every day. (We always said our parents had a busier social life than we did!) Having the opportunity of attending a mass once a month onsite was much appreciated. Our parents loved the Suites and received excellent care. The employees are wonderful and go above & beyond to help the residents. Towards the end, when our Mom wouldn’t eat much, their excellent chef would try to make her favorite foods. The activities instructor would always encourage participation which we really appreciated. We watched employees spontaneously start singing, dancing, joking etc just to lift them up when they were down.....A heartfelt thanks to all of you.❤️🙏

I have been to several other personal care facilities around the Warren County, PA area. The Suites at Rouse is by far the best of them all. The other ones don't even come close. The facility is clean and bright. The exterior of the facility is as well groomed as the inside is kept clean. The staff go out of their way to acknowledge you and ensure that you feel welcome in their facility. The staff responds quickly and efficiently to any kind of emergency situation. The food is really good and the dietary staff make every effort to provide unique meals. The activities are great. They have varied options going on throughout most of the day. No one wants to leave their own home, but the Suites at Rouse is a pretty good replacement. You don't feel like you are in a hospital or nursing home when you are in this facility. I can't say enough good things about this facility.

The suites at rouse are a very high end assisted living facility. The administration and total staff are well trained and caring people who put the needs and comfort of the residents first. The total complex is well designed, clean and very user friendly. The care mother receives is excellent and everyone goes above and beyond to make sure she is safe and all her needs are met. She is treated with dignity and respect. There are activities daily that meet the interest of the residents. Working with our family and keeping the lines of communication open has been very helpful to the family who are out of town. Thank you Mr. Saeli, you have an excellent team of professionals. Best wishes for continued success, Linda and Mark Eberl

We have been pleased with the care given to my father and step mother here. The facility is always clean and the staff has been very helpful and fun. The Suites have also been very accommodating when financial problems occurred. It is very convenient that the med's are all handled through Diamond and administered (in our case) by the nursing staff. The food is ok. Activities seem pretty well handled although our parents here won't participate :-(.

I visited this facility

The rooms are nursing rooms. You get one basic room with a bathroom, and two people try to share a room, with two TV's blaring. It's clean and it doesn't smell, it doesn't stink, and the people are pretty clean. But they could hire more staff.

The Rouse Home, in comparrison to the other 2 that I visited, wasn't quite as nice. It had the essential features you'd like to see in an assisted living facility. There are plenty of staff around at all hours, all of the food is prepared, and they also have planned activities. I felt that my wife's grandmother got adequate care, but it could have been better. The staff was friendly, but didn't seem to care enough to go the extra mile. A lot times, my wife's grandma would have to call the staff multiple times before they came to help her. She actually even broke her hip because she fell out of bed on her way to the restroom. She should have waited until someone was there to help her, but she also had to use the toilet, so it's tough to know how long she waited, but still they should have been there sooner. Overall, like I said, the care they provided was adequate because they gave her the essentials, but they never went the extra mile. We visited her every week for about two years, so I have a good amount of experoemce.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

At the Rouse Home, it was always a little depressing to be there because so many people were in poor condition, but I think it's like that at most nursing homes. I thought the staff was very friendly, but maybe not as responsive as they should have been. Nan, my fiance's grandma, actually had muliple injuries while living there. She needed assistance to use the bathroom, and she always tripped and fell when she tried to go by herself. The worse injury she faced was a broken hip. I wasn't there, so I can't tell you for sure what happened, but she said that they didn't come quick enough when she pressed the button to have someone help her, so she got out of bed herself and tried to walk to the bathroom. If someone had been there sooner she wouldn't have fallen, but, at the same time, she should have waited. They always had activities for the residents who wanted to participate, so that was nice. Nan never participated, as she was basically bed ridden. With assistance she could get in a wheel chair and move around. Her nurse used to take her for a walk around the grounds on nice days, which I thought was really nice. When we came to visit each week, we also wheeled her around the grounds. That's another thing that I liked, was that the grounds were very nice, and if she was in better condition, she could have lived in one of their assisted living apartments that is located on site. She passed away a few months ago, and I think they did a pretty good job with her toward the end of her life. They took care of her with an IV and allowed all of her family to come say goodbye in the last couple weeks. Her memory was gone and she was basically unresposive, so they had to do everything for her that last two weeks. Overall, I think they did fine. No one was really happy about the injuries, but again, she probably should have just waited for help. No one really likes to see their loved ones in a nursing home because you know it's the last step before death, but I think the care they gave her helped her stay with us for an extra two years.
