Mother-in-law spent her last year at Apple Creek. She was very well cared for and we appreciate the love and tenderness the staff gave her.

Apple Creek is a Christian place, and it is more homey than some high-gated or bigger places. It is divided into four sections, which meant it had only six people per section, so that whoever worked in that section was only responsible for six people at a time. I really liked it because they get a little more attention that way. I like the staff. I like that it is family run, and they're all Christians. The food is wonderful, and it is all home cooked. It is organized and handled very well. They are good and nutritious. Everybody gets water at least three times a day. I have things that I'm not happy with. Among them would be communication. Sometimes, communication gets bogged down, and you think you've told everybody, but there's always somebody that didn't get the message. They really do their best to deal with some problems, and they try to change and make it work, like their medications and making sure that everything is tracked well. The people that own it have big Great Danes. Once a month or so, they'll bring these dogs in and let them go around and greet the people. My father is 99, and he has Alzheimer's, but he is more accustomed to it now. They're really good about giving him attention and spending time with him. He can't remember who they are or what they do, but they spend enough time with him that he is becoming more and more comfortable. He has been there for a year, and I would recommend them. In fact, I have.
